Welcome to the Creative DISign Forum. We are always glad to get a new DISigner. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:I will be adding you to the "list" tomorrow. I love the DISigns. Do the people on the Podcast Cruise no about you?:banana::banana:Penny I am sure they will be knocking down your door when they find you. :hippie:Penny

OK, I took the pictures, trying to insert them into my reply, and I know this sounds lame, but I can't figure out how to do it...I searched and found the instructions but can not find 'Manage Attachment's button in my reply to thread....
Wow, do I feel silly ! There is a box that says posting rules and it says "You may not post attachments"

I'll keep trying to figure this out...

Cathi

You need to use a photo hosting account at a place like photobucket, like I have. It's a free account. You upload your photos to that account, then use the html code it provides to "insert" your image here. I use an account at http://www.photobucket.com :)

PS - thanks for the help with attachments !

I absolutely love your designs and was wondering if you could help me out. I teach the 1 year old class at a preschool, and this coming school year, my room will be decked out in classic Disney characters. (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, etc.) As a matter of fact, my Disney fever has rubbed off on all the teachers in my section so all of our rooms are Disney themed. We'd like a shirt to wear as a team for the first day of school that has a fun, picture with some characters on it with the phrase: CDS - A Place to Grow

Would you be interested in doing something like this? The kids in our section are from 6 weeks old to almost 2 years old so the picture can be as cute as you want to make it. I just love your pirate design you did with the classic characters! Anything you have in mind will be great I am sure!

Thanks so much for the disign, they were so fun to do, I love glitter and sparkle, and once I started working with your disign it all fit in so perfect ! We are so looking forward to wearing them on Pirate Night ! And when people ask where I got the disign ( and I know they will) I will tell them with the same excitement my granddaughter had when she saw them ! ( I did one one for husband and my son- but no glitter...just don't understand why not -lol)
My sister ( Patti ) and niece (Sara ) are coming over this week so I can help them with theirs...
thanks again,

I really enjoy your designs. I showed my boys (huge Star Wars fans) your Yoda/mickey bar design and they begged me to make sirts for them... so I am going to borrow it if you don't mind.

Be my guest! I had made a shirt for my teen son with that disign (it was wallpaper I found on line, but I added the Mickey Bar, text and frame) for our WDW trip last fall. Outside of Star Tours, a Lady stopped my son and asked where he had bought the shirt from. He proudly said, "my mom made it" Then I spoke with her and told her about the DIS boards. Don't know if she ever made if over here.
Here's two star wars shirts I made for two of my boys: I had first put a mickey hat on Luke Sky Walker, but my DS6 did not like that. LOL

Can you tell me where you got your transfer paper stuff? I made tshirts last year and they transferred ok, but they didn't wash well at all! And because my computer doesn't do mirror image, we printed them w/out writing and tried to write on them w/glitter glue, fabric paint etc and could get NOTHING to stick to them! Please tell me your secrets on your thirts please!

To be honest with you, I wan't too pleased with the transfer paper either. It was my first time using it, on these shirts. I used Avery Dark T-Shirt transfer. They did look great when done, the colors bright and vibrant. But we noticed on one day in WDW when it was raining a bit, the shirt one of my sons was wearing, the red on it did start to run. That warned me to be careful when washing them. All in all, more then half the shirts I made were ruined in the wash. The other half survived and look just fine still. Why some ran and some didn't I have no clue. I think I will try the light transfer paper next time and see how that goes. The shirts all got their first wear (all had been pre washed prior to the transfers put on) in WDW and photos of everyone in them. There is someone on these boards through whom you can purchase transfer paper from and I hear good about that paper. I will probably try that paper too, only this time I'll make sample shirts and test the colors when water is applied, before making shirts for eveyone again.

All in all, the experience was still worth the hassle of afterwards. My family looked great in each shirt for the first time wearing them. :)
