Hello!

I am so blessed to be able to take my family to WDW again this year! However, my dear friends (and neighbors) have not been down there for years - and it may be awhile b/4 they make it back. In the mean time, I'm trying to come up w/ some 'fairy dust' to send them while we are gone.

What I'm thinking is: using a 8 x 10 digital photo of the family, asking to have their favorite character 'sign their autograph' next to / near / under each family member. If I am unable to hunt down the respective character, would it be possible to layer a stock (?) in or around the respective person?

Last time we were in WDW, the Mom had her DD (7) and DS (5), in their ear hats, posing with their SADDEST faces, taking a picture of them knocking on our front door. So then, she has it FAXED TO OUR RESORT with the saddest story ever!! Oh, our hearts were just breaking thinking they missed their best buddy (my DS - 8)..... We didn't find out for weeks that we were set up!!! AND she's trying to cook up something for our next trip!!!

I just love her - she's the best! But I need to knock her socks with this .

If this can be done, please let me know. If not, it's ok too! Any other ideas / suggestions would be great! THANK YOU!! :wizard:

Someone MUST have a great idea for you...and I can't wait to see what they come up with:)

Yes, an autograph can absolutely be printed onto the picture after it's been signed. At least I think so.

I'd recommend printing a test photo writing on it a bit with sharpie, and then running it through the printer.

The only thing you need is a copy of the signature with a clear background. The file format .JPG doesn't support a clear background. But .GIF does. Hopefullly .PNG does, as it's a much better quality file format than .GIF.

I can easily make the file up for you at work, so please feel free to message me privately about that.

Another idea...

When my nephew was little, I made a sign that said "Hi Dionté." and had each character hold it while I took a picture. I then printed out each picture and glued them to colored cardstock and made a little book. It was very fun. :) I made the sign maybe 5 inches high by 20 inches long. I folded it in accordion-style so that it was maybe 5" x 7", made it stronger with cardboard on the back, and covered it with clear contact paper. Worked great. :)

Oooooo, I like the 'Hi' sign idea - that could work really well! Thank you!! :)

So glad you like the "Hi" sign idea. I had a lot of fun with it way back when...

About the signature, I was able to download Mickey's signature, delete the background and save it as a .PNG file no problem.

I was working in Photoshop for both the before and after, so I don't know if that affected it, but I suspect that most formats that can open .PNG can also understand that it's got a clear background??
