Dishwasher detergent provided?

We've rented DVC points a handful of times and each time there have been at least one or two DW tabs when we got to the room.

This last weekend we were at SSR for the first time and didn't get any. Of course, unlike every other time we didn't bring any tabs with us. "It's a short trip and we'll just use the one in the room." Concierge couldn't help so we just washed by hand with dish soap and followed up with a sani rinse in the DW.

So, question for DVC members: Are DW pods supposed to be in the room or not? I just want to know what to pack for our next trip!

I assume DW is dishwasher. There should be enough to run two loads. And you should have called housekeeping if there weren't any in the room when you got there.

We have had to call housekeeping numerous times to restock dishwasher and washing machine detergent. They always bring what we need.

I've sometimes found the dishwasher detergent packets in strange places in our 1BR. On one trip I was about to call housekeeping to ask for some when I spotted them up on top of the refrigerator.

Just so the OP knows, there should be dishwasher detergent but you get only one box of washing machine detergent every 4 days. If you need more, you can purchase more of the single-use boxes from housekeeping or in the laundry room or buy a large box/bottle in the resort store or elsewhere.

FYI, they don't use pods any longer, it's a small 'bag' of Finish powder, usually 2 bags are there. each will do 2 loads. At least that is what we had for the last 2 trip, BLT and OKW.

Agree, Bill. We had powder. . .5 pouches of the stuff. We used half of one of them. Strangely, we had 3 washing machine detergent boxes, as well. . .

We were at BLT from 2/13-2/20. When we arrived, we had 1 Palmolive, no sponge, no dishwasher detergent. As we were missing some other items as well (a spatula that we never got, and a blanket for the sleepchair--which we did), I went down to talk to someone. When stuff was brought, we got the 'pack' with 2 more Palmolive, a sponge , dish towel, 1 Finish dishwasher packet, 1 dishwasher sanitizer. That's it. When Trash and Towel day came...I figured we'd get more dishwasher detergent...nope. Laundry detergent and toiletries were replenished, but no more dishwasher detergent. We gave up and just washed the rest by hand--as we had 3 Palmolive after asking for dishWASHER detergent that first day. And yes, we looked ALL over for dishwasher detergent and found none.
