I am probably about 30 punds over weight now. Around 180 and should be 150.
I am at the point where I cant stand to look at myself in pictures or in the mirror.
I have stared walking on my treadmill everymorning about 1 mile and doing 100 situps.
I only seem to be able to ever lose 10 pounds and then I get stuck.
I was thinking about doing weight watchers, but my concern is can I do it by eating their frozen entrees only, because I dont cook since my husband works nights.

Kourtnie, I just wanted to give you a  and say don't be so hard on yourself, that usually just makes things worse.

You are off to a good start with the exercise! Give yourself a pat on the back for that alone. When you hit a plateu there are several different things you can try to get the weight loss going again. You can up the intensity and length of your workouts and it doesn't even have to be a lot. Walk faster for 15 minutes longer, add some strength training to your routine, that usually is really good at producing results. You can also try either upping or lowering your calorie intake. Try one and if it doesn't work, try the other. Sometimes our bodies just need a little kick in the rear.

I don't know much about weight watchers but I know a lot of other people here are on the program and I'm sure they will be able to offer you loads of advice.

Good luck to you in reaching your goals, you can do it! :)

I think WW is a sensible plan that you can live with. I'm sure you can eat just the entrees, but you can also have some things in the house for munching on in between meals, like lowfat yogurt, high fiber cereal, fruit, etc.

Try to keep a water bottle nearby and sip on it during the day...it helps stave off hunger too, and you need your water!

Good luck....don't be too down on yourself. Just look at it as a problem...you know the cause, now you have to solve the problem. We're all here for support, since we're all on the same journey, to better health!!::yes::

Some of their frozen meals are pretty good. I don't like frozen meat meals, but their ravioli and noodle dinners are great. I don't cook too much either cause it's just me and my 4 yr old son so sometimes I just eat one of their meals. I also found a great WW cookbook that is 15 minute meals and the recipes are easy. Hope this helps and encourages you to start the WW diet if you are not happy. Just don't get down on yourself!

;)

Thanks for the encouragement.
I looked into WW online and it is expensive!
But I found a website that kind of explained the program so based on what I found because I have more than 20 pounds to lose I start with 30 points. Hopefully that is right.
I am going to start on September 20th so I will keep checking in with you all.

Kourtnie (((HUGS))) and welcome to our WISH family! I do WW unofficially, meaning I don't belong or attend meetings, but use websites for information and WISH for my support. Find a friend on WISH that you can PM or email daily to encourage each other and be accountable too, it's a wonderful way to stay motivated and energized. Try www.dwlz.com for some basic WW information and post any questions here, there are lots of official and unofficial WW Wishers and lots of good input

Hang in there, remember small steps towards a new healthy lifestyle will add up to big changes soon. Don't overwhelm yourself with the big picture. I have been there with you, feeling disappointed and discouraged, it takes time but when you are ready and make the commitment put your health first, the rest will fall into place, including the weight loss.

I think the Smart One dinners are a great place to start, try having a salad with them if it's not enough. I really like the Kraft Done right dressings, especially the three-cheese ranch at 2 pts per serving. Also the Smart One ice cream treats are delish! Search for a thread on this board with keywords "WW pantry" there is a long thread with alot of our staples which can give you some great ideas. baby steps..............

PD to you as you begin your journey, glad you are sharing it with us!

I think one problem I may have is I dont eat enough...will it be hard to meet 30 points a day?

oh, very very important to eat your minimum points every day. otherwise it'll reek havoc on your metabolism!!!

try some higher point yet nutritrous (why can't i spell that today?) snacks -- peanuts, avacado, bowl of cereal with milk, oatmeal made with milk, peanut butter, popcorn, cheese and crackers, etc

why not post a thread asking some other WWers at your point range how they typically eat their pts per day??

I don't know much about WW, but I did want to add my WISHes for your success.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Keep on keepin' on. You are worth it!
