Sonya... CONGRATS!! Keep an eye out for a good deal on a Disney western cruise for me! (Oct 08) We are going to Maggie Valley, NC. It's in the NC mountains between Asheville and Cherokee. I will be needing that hot tub... it'll be my family, Wynn's brother and his wife and 3 girls, and Wynn's parents. What is tough is that his mom is a "better mother" to my kids than I am, and therefore feels allowed to overrule me. She also takes that opportunity to point out to Wynn that I am too hard on Tucker, and yell at him too much. Did I ever mention that Tucker is the favorite grandchild, and can do no wrong? Even when being a complete donkey's rear? :rotfl2: Let's just say I will earn that hot tub and mixed drink! My consolation is that my sis-in-law is every bit as sorry of a parent as I am, and we commiserate together while letting MIL take care of the kids! Hey... she asked for it, after all!:dance3:

Kari have a drink for me and have fun!

Thanks Kari!! I have never been to Maggie Valley but I hear that it is BEAUTIFUL. My family used to go to Cherokee & Bryson City, NC every year. We have not been up that way since 1995, we hope to go again some time next year. Like you said since your MIL is so much of a better parent than you then you can let her take care of the kids and you can relax. At least you & your SIL have something in common. :) But maybe it won't be as bad as you think it will be!!

Happy belated birthday Renee! :cool1:

OK I've got some great news to share with all of you...I have been wanting to do this for a long time and last week it all fell into place...here goes...

this coming Saturday I start training to become a Disney travel agent!!! I'm so excited!!

Congrats!, I plan to join you in that class next week after I win megabucks on Friday:rotfl:

Thanks Renee.

I'm just uber stressed right now with it being the first week. I have a teacher who thinks 3-5 pages is short. She's crazy. Someone whose old enough have a few drinks for me. I have so much to do and so little time. Though I am coming out my shell more and meeting more people in my classes and actually going to my first football game next Thursday. I've been at Tech three years. I'm going to cover the tailgate with my partner in crime for yearbook and two other classes. Oh did I tell you guys my college is playing Auburn. Can we say here's the platter, serve us fried and crisp?:lmao:

Mandy, sorry to tell you, but I think a 3 page paper is short, but I do think it is too early to have one due in the first week ;)

Kari- enjoy your vacation, let your MIL take care of the kids and just chill in the hottub with your sil

It's not due this week but it's already been assigned. I'll get through this, just may need a few occassional dis breaks for sanity.

Mixed drinks and hot tub while MIL watches the kids....
= PRICELESS

:rotfl2:

Mandy: I'm sorry to hear you are stressed - no fun in that. But, honey, I'm with Rags... 3 pages isn't much. lol Dana's have been 3 pages minimum for the past few years. :rotfl: (I know they aren't the same level. just teasing you a bit.... ;) )

Rags: Thanks for the birthday wishes... We had a great evening at "The Melting Pot" and I enjoyed a 1/2 bottle of champagne and didn't share!! Oh, and one more thing... you can't win the MegaMillions Friday, because I am in possession of the winning ticket....

Sonya: Of course you will let us know about good rates and we will send our business to you! :cool2:

It's cool, it's just like was like huh. Most of the teachers say 1-2 pages is short, 3-5 in the middle any more is way to long for my taste. :lmao: I'll make it even funnier, think Polish accent over English. Yeah my teacher is from Poland.

Do what I did in college, wait till 9PM the night before, and just bang out 3 pages, take 45 mintues tops :teeth:

Glad you had fun, but you didn't eben give Dana a "little" taste?

We have about 30-35 people at work that throw in $3, so we have about 120 tickets!! :cool1:

I did that all the time in English. Still do it in Journalism. It's just one of those classes I have to take for my major and it's going to be the longest 3 hours of my life every Wednesday.

Nope - I don't share when it comes to CHAMPAGNE! :goodvibes

120 tickets - that sounds exciting! :yay: Bob & I have been buying $10 worth since it's been this high. Usually we stick to the "scratch offs"...

well, I work in RI, so we usually just stick to powerball, but since we didn't win anything (well, $13) :sad2: we decided to try to megabucks.........

Hey....I play Mega Millions also. So, I think the jackpot goes to me! :cool1:

But don't worry. I'll try hard to remember you little people. Or will I hardly try? :rotfl2:

Got my history done for the day, thank goodness. My only class tomorrow is for extra credit and I could use it but I can't sit through Citizen Kane again.

I do have some new pictures to post as soon as I get around to doing it I will.

I forgot to check Tuesday's numbers, to see if we might have one a little something! :goodvibes

ROSEBUD?! Oh, Mandy! I love that movie!!!! :goodvibes

I've seen it once and it was the longest class ever it seemed and it's only 55 minutes. I actually fell asleep during it. I enjoyed President's Men much better and there was another one we watched that I can't think of.

Renne--- Happy Belated Birthday!!!!!!!!

Kari- enjoy Maggie Valley with the family, haven't been there in a few years.

Mandy- Don't let the course stress you out to much.

LizAnga- congrats, on becoming a soon to be DISNEY travel agent.

Hi everyone. remember me? I have been so busy this school year, I have had no time to DIS anymore. I finally got a little ME time, so I thought I would drop in and say HI!!!!!:wave2:

Hello everyone... remember me........sorry I have been away for so long... I just spent the last few hours catching up on all your posts since our trip..... new jobs, new pets, new haricuts, kids growing up.... so much....

Our family has been busy, stressed, crazy, stressed.... I have had some health issues I needed to deal with and that seems to be under control... work sucks... oh did I say that.... the real estate market is not that great right now and seems that for every one step you take ahead you take 5 back....

Good news is my husband finally decided to go back to work after his 2 years off after retiring from the military... he will be working for the American Red Cross and is very much excited to start his job on Sept 10th. He was faced with having to decided between 3 positions - all of them wonderful - lets just say the two weeks he was trying to decide were no fun around here.... he was pretty stressed..... but that is over now

Maggie is well into her "Senior" year activities. Can't believe it... I am with you Renee on how fast they grow up. We have spent many days off interviewing at colleges. She has narrowed it down to a few.... of course those are the ones at are costing $45000/year...YIKES!!!! She had her senior portraits done - just beautiful... she is busy with Marching Band - she is the head Drum Major so that keeps her busy... and if all that was enough she just got her drivers license..... you have never known fear until you see your child drive away with out you......... she is also working at the NY State Fair to pay for her car insurance!!!

Daniel has been busy playing on 2 baseball teams this summer and traveling from Ohio to New Jersey and everyplace in between. He is starting high school this year and decided to try his hand at marhcing band (keeping an eye on his sister) and he also tried out and made the varisty golf team. So he is busy.....

me well I am busy with work... volunteering with the band.... and just trying to get everyone going to where they need to be..... good news is that the Concert band program is going to Disney in February for 6 days and I am handling all the planning.... for 88 students and 12 staff/chaperones.... what was I thinking..... then we are planning our family vacation to Disney for April.

So that is all..... Happ Birthday to all of you that I missed..... my birthday is December 26th.... I will be 46... please tell me that does not make me the oldest??????????
