Mandy ~ I'll get over to read your update tomorrow. I've got it marked down with a bunch of others to catch up on. I just wanted to get that other thread out because I was all super excited about it!

DM it's fine, I've got a busy day ahead of me tomorrow. I'm helping my friend plan her wedding so I'm meeting up with her tomorrow to get the ball rolling.

Oh, I'm sorry that we didn't have any lottery winners among us.

Renee - I hope Dana has a great day tomorrow! I hope you do too!!

I am typing from my new labtop!! I have been wanting one and our old desktop died yesterday and we found a great deal on this one at Office Depot today!!

I certainly did flip out! That's so funny, Sonya, about the Wendy comment. No, I never did see Wendy. She is a mystery woman, showing up at my mailbox in the wee hours of the morning...

As someone said on that thread...Never before have I wanted to be a pen that much! :lmao:

Just to let ya know that airborne has a thing on their site for a sample for the power pixie stuff.

I just had a chance to read it...I thought you were going to say Wendy!! :rotfl:

I was thinking the SAME THING! :lmao:

I didn't follow American Idol last season - Dana & I watched religiously all the past years, but the beginning of this season just annoyed me for some reason and I gave up.

Freshmen Orientation day went well, except for the bus being VERY late. Today is the first day with Upperclassmen, so we'll see how it went! The bus was late again, and this time very confused as to who was supposed to be picked up and where. I'm really hoping it gets straightened out! I will probably be picking her up most afternoons once the Performing Arts Club gets started, but it is really nice not to have to make that ride first thing in the morning! We'll see what happens! lol

Great minds think alike!!

I'm glad that Freshman orientation day went well for Dana. We had late busses for the first few days but now they seem to be on schedule. Hopefully Dana's gets on schedule soon.

I thought DM was going to say she saw Maggie there... since she was working it. I don't follow AI, so I would have walked right by all of them!

My kids don't ride the bus in the AM. Wynn drops them off on his way into work. Their day is from 9:15-3:45. The first few weeks they were getting home just after 4. Then traditional school started back, and the buses are sharing routes, so they get home between 4:30-4:45.

Well, my ebay things are selling well. I made $23 dollars this week. Of course... I spent $60! Being on ebay definitely crimps my budget a little! But... Avery will be very well dressed this winter. :rolleyes1

After two very frustrating mornings, the bus came on time this morning, AND made the correct turn out of the street! :thumbsup2 Suffice it to say, the person aspiring to be a school bus driver around here.... well, at least Tower of Terror's elevator DID go to the first floor....:sad2:
Sounds like the woman was hopelessly lost yesterday, but when some of the older students tried to help, she really didn't understand because Dana thought she didn't speak English.

I feel like I'm starting high school all over again - trying to show Dana how to be "organized" - each class wants a spiral notebook AND a binder... and this kid has yet to figure out how to get to the locker in between classes because the passing time is so quick... hopefully she'll feel more confident about her classroom locations and make a few pitstops during the day - because right now, she's LUGGING EVERYTHING! That skinny little back is going to break!

At least she gets home around 3:20 - that's not TOO bad.

Kari: Are you making clothes to sell on ebay, or selling hand-me-downs?

Sounds like school is totally back in full swing with everyone now. Evan & Alec had their first day today.

I take Brookie to "meet your teacher" day at her preschool. She really starts next Wednesday.

Here's a couple of pictures from Evan's birthday party on Monday. His big present from us was a skateboard. I made him a tee-shirt with his head photoshopped onto another skateboarder. He loved it!

DM.... I might show up in the wee hours of the morning....the thing you must remember is I know where you live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You never know when I might show up.......honestly... when I read your post I thought it was going to be a photo of Maggie too!!!! Glad you had a good time!!!

Renee.... I feel your pain... Daniel started high school yesterday also.... the good thing for him is that he has an older sister and knows many of her friends.... also being in marching band they start rehearsals the first week of August so they get to meet up with many classmates then... so the transition has not been so bad for him... and his sister is driving them to school so there is no waiting for the bus.

GOOD NEWS!!!!! I booked our airline tickets today for our April 08 family trip!!! I have been watching and waiting for the fares to come down under $350 a person and the finally did... I got great flights for $225 each including taxes and advance seating!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited....

and because I can't plan a whole lot yet for that trip it was jsut as exciting when a friend of mine called and said "do you think I can come over on Monday with my credit card and you can book a trip for us for November"..... book, plan and spend with someone elses credit card...... just as fun as doing it for myself............okay I am done rambling!!!

Our April trip is April 11-20th......what I have so far is staying at the Shades of Green (we love it there), the airline tickets, and two of our passess. Still to do: decide if we want to rent a car, dining, get other two tickets......all the fun stuff!!!

Wendy ~ cool on your upcoming trip. I am jealous. It will be awhile before we return.

I would not even know who Maggie is at the Orange Lot. Trying to get to that lot was obnoxious as we got off at State Fair Blvd and they would not let us turn to get up to the lot. So, we had to go through Solvay and around to Hiawatha Blvd, then back on 690 to finally get to the Orange.

Then, we get the kids all out and onto the shuttle. In the middle of the shuttle ride, I ask Rob if he remembered the lock the van, which he did not. I freaked saying that I left my purse in there with all credit cards. So, we all get off the bus at the main gate and he gets back on to go back to the van to lock it.

But running into the Idol kids totally made my day. Thanks so much for the tix!

I totally agree that's what's so fun about being a TA...I haven't booked any trips yet but I have priced some for some people who want to go the week between Christmas & New Years...not much left to choose from though!!

WOOHOO!! Wynn and I have been discussing our cruise the last few days... he now refers to it as a definite! Get busy, Sonya! LOL

DM... I love the shirt you made Evan. You are so creative! Did they have a good first day?

Good going on the "definite"...like it never really was? :rolleyes1

The boys had a good first day. I like that they start out on Thursday so they only have 2 days at first. I think it makes it easier to adjust going back. Brookie went to "meet her teacher" yesterday and I had to drag her out of the classroom. She is so ready to start preschool next week!
