Brittaney, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Thank you! I can't believe I'm still up, but somehow DISing makes me feel better! ;)

WoooHooo...Paul just got home from the store with a gallon of milk that expires on 6/23...We'll be at Disney when our milk expires!! Wooohooo!!

That's hilarious! Only a DISer would be so excited over a gallon of milk! I totally know the feeling. :rotfl2:

Oh, and by the way, I am all packed except for our bathroom type stuff, which you really can't pack until the last minute anyway. I might need my deoderant between now and next week!:lmao:

We don't take ponchos because they make you feel so nasty when your hot and have wet plastic stuck to you:scared: . You're already soaked with sweat anyway, the rain just freshens you up a bit.:rotfl2:

Call me extravagant, but I have "vacation toiletries" and "regular toiletries"! :goodvibes That way - the "vacation deodorant" is all ready and waiting. :lmao:

Dana (aka DIVA) refuses to wear a YELLOW DISNEY PONCHO, so she made me buy a clear one at Rocking Horse Ranch with a horse on it ... so... when you see the horse poncho, you'll know it's Dana. LOL

The only reason we really wear the ponchos, is to try to stay a LITTLE dry... Bob got drenched on the rapids ride in Animal Kingdom - I mean DRENCHED... and then almost caught PNEUMONIA in the air conditioning at the Lion King show right afterwards! If we can prevent that horrible cold feeling after being soaked in the rain, we'll try. lol Then again, sometimes the poncho doesn't even help that!

Hello Disers,
Today the skys opened up and it poured and I was imagining at that point what it would be like to be walking around Disney in the downpour. So, I plan on buying a Disney poncho the first day (they are clear now with Mickey on the back) and I bought a lite weight umbrella. I have a cover for the stroller and that is my plan...and I am sticking to it....wet or dry :rotfl: :rotfl: I forgot about being wet in AC! Yikes

Brittany, go to bed!

I got a bunch of freebies/trials and they are all packed. I think I just need toothbrushes for me and dh. We needed new ones anyway.

The new ponchos at Disney sound cute but I can't imagine buying them for $7 or more. I think I have to get back to the dollar store. Speaking of which, I went to one today and they had the cutest "Princess" hat in blue with Cinderella on it and it was marked $10! No way!

Get well soon Brittany. This reminds me of our last trip in Nov. when I came down with a stomach bug a few days before we left. We always have some drama going on right before a trip.:sad2: But just remember in a few days you'll be in your Happy Place. No matter what that always cheers me up!:cheer2:

I'm like SingingMom...I buy all new toiletries including toothbrushes for our trips...it's all stuff we will use when we get home anyway and it makes packing so much easier!! In fact I made my 1st last trip to Wal-Mart before the trip today...2 bags and $64 later I think I have everything we will need but I'm sure I will think of something that I forgot as I continue packing.

:woohoo: I leave on Thursday for Florida!!! We're spending the night near Sanford airport where my in-laws are flying in to (we're driving). Then on Friday... off to checkin at WDW!!!My in-laws leave on 6/19 (us on 6/25). I just hope I can make it w/ my MIL til then.:headache:

Yay!! I know you are excited! We will be arriving at Pop on 6/22...I'll see you sometime on 6/24 to get the fridge. Have a safe drive and a wonderful trip!!

SM - I'll be looking for Dana in the horse poncho.

Everyone go check your milk and see where you will be when it expires...:rotfl:

Where the heck does all this laundry come from???:confused3

Don't ask me! I did all the laundry in the house today... and now have 1 1/2 loads waiting. :sad2: I HATE :laundy:

For those of you with kids, what do you bring for the kids? We'll have a stroller but didn't know if we should bring their rain jackets or some windbreakers or if maybe someone could point me in the direction of some cheap ponchos for kids...

I bought the lightweight, water resistant nylon jackets last year for the kids... Wynn and I already had some. They are not as hot as those nasty, sticky ponchos. :rotfl: We just roll them up in the back pocket of the backpack, and take them everyday. I bought mine on eBay, but saw some in Sam's a few weeks ago. We bring our comfy stroller with the huge basket underneath to keep the backpack and junk in. I also bought a shower curtain (DM or TNmomof4 suggested it, I think) to spread over the stroller during the storms. Wynn got some clamps to hook it on tightly.

You're already soaked with sweat anyway, the rain just freshens you up a bit.:rotfl2:

Now you can go sleeveless, and run around with your pits exposed during the storm... :rotfl:

Everyone go check your milk and see where you will be when it expires...:rotfl:

To my knowledge, we have never had milk expire as long as Wynn and I have been married. He drinks a gallon every 2-3 days alone. We generally go through 5 gallons a week. Guess it would be cheaper to buy a cow... :rolleyes1

We have some Mickey Mouse ponchos we got at a flea market, but we also have some dollar store ones as well. They do make them in kids sizes. We bring the stroller as well, as my youngest will be 3 in August. The stroller is a lifesaver to through all the junk in LOL...I always bring a chance of clothes for the little one, as you just never know:confused3

Ya'll are right, I do have enough toiletries to go ahead and pack them too. I forgot I bought a multi pack of deodorant last time. I also bought us all new toothbrushes yesterday and I have travel size shampoos down in a drawer I had forgotten about. I love this thread so much. Ya'll help me to remember so many things. I don't know how I would get along without ya.:thumbsup2

We learned the hard way to always have something to cover the stroller in the rain. The little ones hate riding around in a soaking wet stroller. We just normally have an extra dollar store poncho with us. My husband just rips it open to cover the stroller... I swear we are the "Cheapo" family though and through.;)

Isnt it crazy, a good crazy of course, we all think a like.. I didnt buy new toothbrushes... I saved up all the new ones we got from our dentist appts the last 6 months, and told the kids not to use them yet.All 5 of us have brand new toothbrushes from our dentist appts all ready to go:thumbsup2

I dont buy the travel size shampoos and such. I buy those small empty plastic containers from the dollar store, and pour our shampoo into them. The kids and I use different shampoos, and conditioner. That reminds me I have to do that today. Even though we are driving I rather not have to lug the big bottles of shampoo around.
This is a great thread as to help us all remember our packing list.:thumbsup2

OK, I'm not a morning person, but I just had one of "those" dreaded dreams...dreamed that I had left all of my surprises that I have at work, all of my touring info and dining confirm # there too...that the surprise went well, in fact we were in Orlando looking at Circ and the girls still didn't know where we were and all they wanted to do was go to a movie on the day I had MK planned!!

I couldn't go back to sleep so now I am up packing Amanda...she has her big suitcase at camp with her so I am packing what I can in her smaller one and I will transfer everything I have packed into her other one once I get all of her camp clothes washed and ready to pack. Probably bright & early one morning next week while she is still asleep!

To my knowledge, we have never had milk expire as long as Wynn and I have been married. He drinks a gallon every 2-3 days alone. We generally go through 5 gallons a week. Guess it would be cheaper to buy a cow... :rolleyes1

Wow! You do need to buy a cow!! We go thru phases around here...sometimes they (I don't drink it) go thru 2 gallons a week and sometimes a 1/2 gallon expires... :confused3

Well, my travel toothbruses are from the $$ Store so I got all 4 for $2 and I do the same thing with the travel plastic containers. Like you, we drive but we don't want to carry the big bottles of shampoo either.

I just carry my big bottles for my shampoo and conditioner. My hair is so long/thick that I use a lot, and its just a pain to transfer it to bottles. Wynn has a travel size of his shampoo, and I have 2 travels of baby shampoo for the kids. We have toothbrushes and toothpaste that stay in our travel kit for each of us, so we don't need to buy those. I will pack the kids toiletries after I bathe them Fri night, and our stuff as we get ready Sat AM.

We count down on at night before the kids go to bed. Avery was running around the house last night doing her 3 day dance! It is so hysterical watching her jump around... looks like Goldie Hawn taking the African dance classes in the movie Housesitter with Steve Martin. Anybody remember that flick besides me? :confused3

LizA... what a nightmare! Look on the bright side... if all they want to do is see a movie, you can take them to Chip and Dale's campfire! I wish I could be a fly on the wall when they do figure it out!

This last week is going to be LONG! My packing is done, and Chris will be working long days and the kids and I are climbing the walls waiting for this trip. Glad I have you guys to comiserate with.
Oh, and Kari, thanks again for the PH voucher. I am a little worried though, that it has your name on it. Do you know if they ask for ID when you use them? I'll take cash for that meal so they won't see a different name on the credit card, but I didn't know if they were strict about those things since it says non-transferable.

We bought Dollar Store ponchos. I'd rather be able to throw them away afterward than lug around some extra jackets. We have enough to bring to the parks for the kids. No, I don't like the feeling of them either but it sure beats getting wet!

Oh, and by the way, I am all packed except for our bathroom type stuff, which you really can't pack until the last minute anyway. I might need my deoderant between now and next week!:lmao:
Deoderant? Oh heck, we're all going to stink anyway!

Call me extravagant, but I have "vacation toiletries" and "regular toiletries"! :goodvibes That way - the "vacation deodorant" is all ready and waiting. :lmao: Renee
I have bought some travel size things also. I want to be able to throw things away to make room in my suitcases on our return trip.

Don't ask me! I did all the laundry in the house today... and now have 1 1/2 loads waiting. :sad2: I HATE :laundy:
Okay, this may sound wierd but I actually like doing :laundry: . It relaxes me as I fold. But don't even get me started on doing the dishes because DawnMaree does NOT do dishes! I even have a dishwasher.

I also bought a shower curtain (DM or TNmomof4 suggested it, I think) to spread over the stroller during the storms. Wynn got some clamps to hook it on tightly.
That would be me. We bought 2 Dollar Store shower curtains for our stroller to drape over. We need to get some clamps tho.

We just normally have an extra dollar store poncho with us. My husband just rips it open to cover the stroller... I swear we are the "Cheapo" family though and through.;)
Nope. You're not cheap. I have bought a lot of things from the Dollar Store for our trip!

We asked our travel agent last year about giving away some of the vouchers, and she said it was not a problem. BUT... I don't know if the other people had trouble using them. I would say if you wnat to use a credit card, uses Chris's. I hope you don't have a problem using them!

WoooHooo...Paul just got home from the store with a gallon of milk that expires on 6/23...We'll be at Disney when our milk expires!! Wooohooo!!

Rags - I'm sure you do have a "few" things to stress over this week...I hope everything goes wonderful on your wedding day!!

I am not stressing over anything, the bride to be to stressing and I just happen to be there :rolleyes1

I hope you feel better soon!!

Everyone go check your milk and see where you will be when it expires...:rotfl:

Yes, rest and lots of fluids so you feel better for ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pluto: pooh:

I didn't go grocey shopping this week, but last week my milk had an expiration date of 6/16 (my wedding)

:surfweb: I've been up since 5 when Chris left for Atlanta and I am all alone and bored. So I think we need a question of the day to keep me entertained... What is the
1. ride you most look forward to?
2. meal you most look forward to?
3. show you most look forward to?
