I'm not THAT OLD either! I watched Spin & Marty in reruns. But, I DID watch Brady Bunch on Friday evenings, not in reruns. Does THAT make me old??? (45 this August. Yikes!)

What a whirlwind of a week! Dana competed in her first Horse Show today and came in 5th place in the "Walk/Trot/Half Seat 2 Cross Rail" event. Renee

I live about 10-15 min. from G'ville SC. I'm in Easley. It's really not a bad place. I shop in G'ville all the time. And my DH is a state trooper here. I would go check on her for you tomorrow but I'm working all day. I've got 3 more working days til Disney. Rest assured your mom will be fine. I'll pray for her. I'm sure it's been rough on her.

Can I have his name so I can use it if I get pulled over for speeding down there?

Am I supposed to thank you for this? Okay, it was the one in the middle when he was in a band called Phantom, Rocker & Slick. The drummer was also in the band; he is married to Britt Eklund (Bond girl) and she was at the concert too in a cat suit.

It gives me the heebie jeebies that I actually made out with that loser now...and yes he was a loser then - he was totally popping pills and acting quite freaky but I was in awe. Thank goodness that is ALL I did!!! I actually walked out on him.

We had the family over for Alec's 6th birthday yesterday. I made this cake for him...

Well, actually, I didn't make it. Fooled you! It's store bought from Wegmans. It was a chocolate cake and I served it with Edy's strawberry ice cream.

I started some packing today. Still waiting on a couple outfits from my MIL. She made Michael a Peter Pan overall and Danae a Cinderella outfit but she has to mail them to me. Then I have to figure out what to put on them the rest of the time! LOL

Thankyou everyone, just heard from my mom. The Ford service place told her that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. So she is one her way to B-ham, AL to stay the night with her sister then in the moring on to La. She will be taking her time to get there, no rush.

Very scary! I don't quite understand why parents don't teach their kids they are better off shot in an busy place than to actually get into the car with someone. They say the best thing to do is run away screaming, because there is only a 50% chance of being hit (moving target) and less than 5% chance it would be fatal. Just something to teach your kids! The other biggie I saw on 20/20 was that people don't respond when kids say things like "You're not my father!" and such. Teach them to use the word stranger in a situation.

I have to tell you, I felt very leery last year at DTD. We went to Pleasure Island first, and then went into DTD, thinking the shops were open, but they were just closing.. 11pm...
We had trouble finding the bus stop back to the Dolphin, and then when we did find the stop, we had to wait what seemed like a long time. I was extremely uncomfortable...

Dana made us PROMISE we would take her shopping there this year, since we missed it that night, but I already told Bob I want to take a taxi back & forth this time.

We love DTD... but we do it in the daytime. I enjoy being there when it isn't so busy. Also, the crowds are heavier than I care to deal with at night. We like to go early, take everything back to our room, eat lunch, then head to the park around 2. Works for us!
