No Sonics very close here but there is one about 20 minutes away in DeWitt. And where do we have A&W Wendy? I know we used to have one in Cicero. Is there still one? Way back in the 70s it used to be an A&W drive-in complete with speaker and carhops!

The A&W in Cortland is like that. I lived in Cortland for quite a few years and we used to frequent A&W. :thumbsup2

The same thing happened with Amanda...she had a Mickey Ice Cream bar and dropped some on her shirt...then we had the Tinkerbell Photopass pics made...they are great except for the chocolate stain on Amanda's shirt!!

Was it the pic that has the kids holding Tink? I want to get that done with my kids. Is it something I can do on the photopass website? Or do you buy the pic, and they have already added her? Speaking of photopass... Last year I edited/cropped my photopass pics before purchasing. If I buy the CD, can you access their software? Can I make my "corrections" and THEN order the CD?

Yes, this is the pic with them holding Tink. I had my CD burned while we were at Disney...when the pulled the photos up for me to reivew and edit (they were doing this on site in 1/06) Tink was there. We also had some of us holding a straw hat and in the pic Stitch was coming out of it...we had one with Stitch coming out of the ground and we were supposed to have one with Baby Simba coming out of the ground but he didn't show up. I didn't ask if they could add him at that point...I just assumed that they couldn't.

A friend of mine went in January and waited until she got home to get the CD...she was able to edit & add signatures before she ordered the CD. I believe that once you edit a photo you'll have 2 copies...the original and the copy.

My vote is Lightening McQueen... Owen Wilson isn't pretty, and seems like a dork... but my first marriage was for love. I always tell Wynn that the next time I get married, it will be for money, and someone who does the housework! :rotfl:

Yeah, love is SO overrated! Housework is where it's at! :laundy:

;)

Oh boy, now that our trips are getting SO CLOSE, I'm starting to freak out about all that I still have to do before we go. :scared:

I stopped at Home Depot after work today to get some more LGMH's. I got a huge stack of 'em. I was trying to explain to Antonia why I was getting them but I'm not sure she quite understands. I was also teaching her how to fock and who to fock. I'm pretty sure my 7-year-old daughter thinks I'm crazy! :rotfl2:

I got most of my mickey heads ready to go! They just need to be laminated, which I'm going to do tomorrow. Here a pic - keep in mind I'm not very crafty!

I know last year I made all my changes, and added those to my pics. I also deleted the photos I absolutely hated. In the end, I only took my free 5x7, because most of their pics were not as good as my own. I will only buy their CD if we have enough good photos to justify the cost. I will wait to get home to buy it, though... so I can take my time going through the pics. If we get the Tink pic done, I will probably get that one with my free pic voucher... just in case I don't get the CD. I really want to look into doing a photo movie this year. I'm going to check out the program DM told me about, and see what Disney has to offer. I know you can upload your own photos for them to add if you choose, in addition to their photopass and photo library pics.

I will most likely buy the CD again this year and I want to try to do a photo movie too. I didn't have them take pics with our camera just with theirs last time...I might get them to make some with ours this year.

Birttany - I love your LGMHs!

I had every photographer use our camera as well as theirs. My problem was that most of the photos did not seem professional quality shots to me. I just expected more from them because of all the hype... better and more creative poses. It seemed they just handed out the cameras to whoever couldn't work food service or man a ride!

We only had a few photos taken last year and ordered them when we got home... is there another way to get a photopass besides running into a photographer and asking to start one?

That's the only way I know of. You may could get one from the hotel, but it wouldn't do any good until you find a photographer anyway. All photographers have plenty of cards on them.

I'll have to admit that our photographers weren't very creative with their poses but I liked it because we had so many pics of all 4 of us together. I am going to try to be more conscious of the pics that they are taking and request some. In the Judge's Tent we have a pic of all 4 of us with Mickey and the girls playing around with him but we don't have one of the girls and Mickey looking at the camera. Don't get me wrong I like the ones of Alyssa giving Mickey 5 but I wish we had one of them looking forward.

I believe that's the only way to get one...at least its the only way I know.

I had an idea of how to keep up with the Photopass better...I want to take a hole punch and punch a hole in one corner and then put it on one of those plastic spring key chains and hang it from the backpack...like servers in restaurants do...that way I won't have to dig for it everytime we want a picture taken.

When we bought the CD last time it was $99 and we had 101 pics taken so I thought that was a fair deal...we'll have to get more taken this time to justify the increase to $125.

I can't start to pack until AFTER graduation tomorrow! :goodvibes
The 8th grade teacher and I rehearsed with the kids again today, and then Sister came in and changed the entire evening ceremony. (It's her first year with us - this is how SHE used to do it in her other schools... grrr) Change is fine - but not THE DAY BEFORE! :rolleyes1 (At least the Liturgy stayed the same - that's MY piece of it. ;) )

DM: Never been to the Community Boards before... what do I do?
and "Cars"? How much grief will I get if I admit we haven't seen it?! :car:

I just realized I need to make my airport pickup and return reservations with the town car people. I really need graduation to be OVER. Actually - I need my school year to be over so I can think about vacation! :cool1:

Renee

Renee, I hope everything goes well at graduation!! Tell Dana congratulations!! Please post some pictures when you get a chance.

We only had about 35-40 pics, and 1/3 looked like a high school kid took them. The ones in Toontown character meet (whatever that barn is called!) were SO bad! We got home and realized Avery has her hand in Pluto's mouth the way she is hugging him, and it looks like he has bitten it off! The ones with Minnie, Tucker is almost cut out, and Avery is behind her arm. I could almost understand if they served alcohol in MK...

This year I am going to tell the photographers to take tons of pics since I plan to buy the CD. That way, I have a lot to choose from. My main objective is several in front of the castle holding Tink... I want a good one I can blow up and frame in my entry.

That's a good idea to tell them that you are buying the CD so they will take a lot of pics...I think I will do that too.

I hope you get your Tink picture...a friend of mine at work was telling me about a Photopass picture of her niece. They are in front of the castle and the little girl is looking at Tink and her parents are in the background looking at her. She said it looks like a magazine ad!!

THANK YOU! I think I'm more nervous than she is! Of course, I have to SING in front of all those people! :goodvibes Actually, she's reading the first reading at Mass this morning, too!

I'm looking forward to it to just go SMOOTHLY and have a nice dinner party this evening. All this hoopla for 8th grade - can't IMAGINE what high school graduation will be like!!!

Good morning everyone. I got my new camera last night and my friend gave me a 2 gig memory card for free because her husband bought it to go with his new camera and discovered it was the wrong kind and he was too lazy to take it back! Yay for me!:yay: I tried to offer them money for it but they refused. They are very $$$ and generous because they also bought us dinner and gave us a nice bottle of wine someone gave them because they don't drink red wine. Double yay for me!:yay: :yay:
Two weeks from today I'll be walking up Main Street USA with my new Nikon Cool Pix camera ready to take some cool pictures for our group trip report!!!!!:grouphug:

First, you definitely want to tell all the photographers that you are planning on buying the CD and could they take some special shots. Definitely ask for the Tinkerbell one. Also, I heard that there is one sitting on a bench that Stitch gets put in next to you.

Second, you can edit and add Disney's graphics to any of your photos before you buy the CD. They save the new and the old photos.

Third, that Disney DVD looks to cool. I will definitely check it out once we get back. I like to do things myself but with a little help. Have you checked out the Photopass website? They have a sampling of it and I totally love it!

I would choose Luigi...I loved Tony Shalub in Wings!!

And the poll is now closed. Here's the final result...

Chick (Michael Keaton) 2
Ramone (Cheech Marin) 2
Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) 1
Sally (Bonnie Hunt) 1
Tow Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) 1
Flo (Jeniefer Lewis) 1
Doc Hudson (Paul Newman) 1
Luigi (Tony Shalhoub) 1
Fillmore (George Carlin) 0
Mack (John Ratzenberger) 0
King (Richard Petty) 0
Sheriff (Michael Wallace) 0
Sarge (Paul Dooley) 0

Brittany - make sure you save one for me when we meet at Raglan Road! I saved one for you already!
