Kari - that's just crazy! Boy am I glad the schools here "up north" are still normal. Keep us posted!

Courtney - Yay!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'm choosing to homeschool our kids though. Moving just isn't a possibility for us and I'd rather teach them myself.

Unfortuneately, home school isn't an option for me. With home daycare, my house is in constant turmoil. I can't imagine trying to teach with all that goes on in a day. Plus... to be very honest... I enjoy sending my kids off... especially on Monday! ;) Moving isn't really an option for us, either. There are 7 houses for sale in our neighborhood alone, and nobody is even looking because of all that is going on. People started listing about 6 months ago, right when everything started. Before this, the average list time was 30 days - now only 2 have sold in 6 months. You could get a 2200 sq ft house on 1/2 + acre for $210K right now.

We MAY have a house that I LOVE!!!! I won't be completely at ease until we have the keys in our hand!!!!

That ROCKS!! I know the stress of getting everything to fall into place is awful. When do you close?

Basically... I should lube up and bend over... I'm getting reamed no matter what! :lmao: Sorry! That was really ugly... but it sure did make me feel better!
:lmao: :lmao:
You could always suffer the horrible weather and taxes and move up here to NY. But the schools are good though! :thumbsup2

Okay...you've all seen the wedding photos but that's not what I will look like down in Disney. So, I had Rob take a picture of Brooke & I out on our deck this morning. This is how my hair and makeup will really be like...

love the school system here where I'm at, no complaints yet. There are seven elementary schools, two Jr/Middle and One High school. Live 10 minutes away from DS elem and 3 minutes from the Middle school. Next year both wil be going to the same school again. The teachers are wonderful.

Busy here getting ready for our surprise party for MIL and DD 13th b-day. Plus
have three baseball games this weekend.

Courtney - So happy for you on the house.

I agree.. homeschooling wouldn't be for me either. As much as I love my kids, I am not a patient person. Thank goodness for all those wonderful teachers who are much more equipped for that.

Kari- sorry about the whole school situation

Courtney- congrats on the house

Kanga- thanks for not making me feel left out

Kari--- that's so dramatic!!!!

OMGoodness--- I'm sure you are stressing!!!!

I've been stressing this week too--- Found a house we wanted to buy---- Ours wasn't even on the market yet but had a potential buyer---- Got our potential buyer to sign purchase agreement---- went back and forth with the seller of the house we want b/c we couldn't agree on a price---- finally got a signed purchase agreement this morning.... SO--- We MAY have a house that I LOVE!!!! I won't be completely at ease until we have the keys in our hand!!!!

Congratulations on the house.. We want to see pictures;) We are all about the pictures over here:)

I would not mind year around school. As much as I love summer, love those 3 months off. You can get better travel deals when you travel off season:rotfl: :thumbsup2

When my son was younger I would always take him out of school and we would go to disney off season. Now that he is older and in middle school he rather not miss school. Just too much work to make up.Plus all the schools around here have ac so that wouldnt be a problem.

I have been really busy too. I also am trying to decide where to send my kids to school. They have been going to a private school, but there is just so much that I don't agree with. Some of the things they do are just crazy. I feel like they own my kids, and that I have no say in anything. I am really leaning towards homeschooling them too. This school is a private school "run" by a church. If you know what I mean. Since I don't go to the church, I am not looked on so highly. Also being a single mom is not looked on so good by lots of the staff. I feel like my kids get treated differently for these reasons. My 10 year old has done terrible this year with his grades, yet this school is the best private school in the region. They have the best test scores of the state. I have asked for help for him and they just don't care. They cater to the kids that do well. They like the school work to be hard. I have just had enough of the school. My kids are great and are very well-behaved considering everything they have been through. The school is run by people who are so called Christians, but they don't act like ones at all. Anyway.. I guess enough of my ranting.

I also have been busy house hunting as we are moving too. We did find one and signed papers on Friday. So I am busy getting boxes and starting to pack. We still have to close on it. I haven't told the kids yet. I want to wait until closing just in case. This is a great house and I don't want to upset them if it didn't work out. But... they did give me the keys to the house so it's pretty much done except for those closing papers.

Congratulations on the house. I know exactly how you feel. It is so stressful while waiting during that back and forth period. It feel so good to sign that purchase agreement!!

That's a GREAT photo, Dawn Maree!! I love it!
Make sure you have Rob take more of you and Brooke together...
the majority of the photos in our albums I took - so I'm rarely in a photo!! I didn't realize how few of me there were until I started pulling out photos for the graduation photo presentation they will show at the luncheon.

Sometimes I throw the camera at Bob and say, "take a picture so the child knows she had a MOTHER!" :rotfl:

Lots of luck, Courtney! Hope everything works out! Is it near where you live now? But, the most important question: Will Maddie have a BACKYARD?!
:goodvibes

Don't I know it. If you look at my PTR 98% of the photos I am missing from. Another problem is that Rob will go to take a pic of me once in awhile but without makeup on! Uhm...no way! If I'm going to be in a pic, then I need to look good! :cutie:

I was really happy with the way that pic of Brooke & I came out. I think I'll print that one out and frame it.

Some good news. Rob handed over a Visa debit card to me that he won at work for some safety competition, I guess. Who cares how he won it, it has $70 loaded on it! I told him we should save it for Disney for any souvenirs we may want! :woohoo:

:woohoo: Gotta love free money!

The board ate my last post. In a nutshell... congrats Courtney! Sarah... sounds like it is definitely time for a new school. Good grades at a lesser school are better than bad grades at a good school. And your kids have enough to deal with without having to be discriminated against at school.

Hi Brittany! Where have you been hiding lately?

The mall? :rolleyes1

Seriously, I've been on an obsessive quest to find the perfect shoes for WDW. You should see my living room - it looks like a shoe store threw up in there! Piles and piles of boxes and shoes. I think I need to stop before the shoes actually take over the house! :rotfl2:
