Just found this thread. I will be at POP June 15-25th. I am staying by myself, although I will be hanging with 3 other families. I could've stayed w/ one of the families, but the thought of my 45 year old body sleeping on a pullout bed.....just can't do it anymore.

I'm from Southern Calif..Orange County....five minutes from DL. Worked for DL, Sweet Tomatoes and Cheesecake Factory in Training/Devt over the years. Now going back to school/seminary.....Been known to enjoy a beer or 3 at ESPN Club while watching the Dodgers/Niners/Ducks/UCLA on TV.

Welcome Jordan!!!! Let us know your day to day agenda and DM will add it to the first page! I'm jealous you'll be there for so long!

YEAH.... it sometimes takes a while... but I finally get there.... have a wonderful night.... my blanket is calling me......

Don't really have many ADRs as I am on my own for meals most of the time and would rather just pick up something quick. The last 3 1/2 days I am on my own as all my friends are leaving on Thursday or Friday. I am using that time to decompress as I will spend a lot of the beginning of my trip making sure all my friends have a good time.....

Jordan... welcome! I'll be in the world from the 17th-23rd, but not a single of our days crosses. :sad2:

LizA... so glad your DDs wrist is OK. She may just need Physical Therapy to stretch her muscles back out, and regain flexability. Whenever she has her brace off, have her work on stretching those muscles some.

Maggied... your pic looks great. I missed all the problems earlier, but don't touch it now!

CK... very jealous you are writng from the couch! I'm in the den, but at the desk. Man this chair is hard!

SingingMom... love the pic! Glad you had a good time!

Just had to catch up for a minute... now I'm off to put away dinner, and clear the laundry off my bed. Dinner was chili and cornbread muffins, by the way. YUMMO!! Goodnight, all!

I'll make sure she does that when her brace is off. Your dinner really sounds yummo! I have to clean the laundry off of our bed too...I'm not used to being home on Mondays and doing laundry.

Goodnight all!!!!

Chat with yall tomorrow!

Good night!! I hope you have magical dreams!! I'm going to stay on for a few more mintues & then off to bed!!

I always miss talking to you guys at night. My boys had lots of homework and one had a book report due tomorrow that we had to work on. Plus I had baseball uniforms to wash for games tomorrow. Anyway... I need to catch up with you guys. The first time I went to WDW was for my Senior Trip in 1992. The weather here was okay today. A little cold for me. I grew up in Michigan and also lived in Connecticut for a few years so I have no desire to ever live where there is snow again. Although it is pretty.

LizA - I am so glad your DD's wrist is okay. I said a prayer for you guys.

Jordan - Welcome. We are not getting to the world until the 22, but I think a couple of us will be at AK on the 25th

Maggied - I love the picture of your family. It's a great picture.

Singingmom - I have been to Boston one time. It was really fun and I loved the city, but I was trying to push a stroller around downtown Boston which was not a good idea. I got honked at sooooo many times.

Mandy - Happy Belated Birthday. Hope your school work is going okay.

jjohnson- Happy Birthday! I hope you get your mani/pedi soon. I just got both for the first time last week. I didn't know if I would like it, but it was really nice.

Courtney - I love the picture of your dog. If I ever get a dog, I want one like yours. I think my kids would really like it since it is small. I think it is perfectly okay to have chocolate after eating salad. That's what is so good about eating salad!!

Karibritt - My kids have been wearing shorts too. Once they start wearing shorts and short sleeves there is no turning back, even on days like today where it is cool.

Disneyolic and Crazykanga - I wanted to meet too for the Nemo show, but you are right that it might be hard since the show is busy and the wait is so long to get in.

I was also wondering if anyone has ever used the Disney gift cards around WDW. My kids have been saving money and earning money, and I just can't imagine taking their money and trying to keep track of it and keeping it separated. If I just put what they each have on a gift card it would be so much easier, but I didn't know if you can use them everywhere.

I hope you all have a good day!! Sarah

My kids always use the gift cards... it is kind of a family tradition now that for birthdays and Christmas our extended family gives them Disney gift cards... they are teenagers and no one ever knows what to buy... its the perfect gift... it also stops them from running to me everytime they want something.... they know how much they have to spend and they keep to it...they are easy to use in the parks.. both at stores and at the snack carts...DS loves ice cream... uses his for that a lot.....

DM--- Come live in Baton Rouge--- I'll help you in your house hunt... While I'm finding mine, I'll find you one too...
So sweet...you're the 2nd to invite me down south to live. :cloud9: It's Rob who needs the convincing. Let me give you all his cell #. It's 315- :rotfl:

maggied definately try photobucket, don't want you getting in trouble by the sig police.
Been there...that siggie police means business!

Last trip the kids had a bunch of Disney dollars and that was such a pain to keep track of. This year we are definitely getting each of them their own Disney gift cards. It will be sooooooooooo much easier!

Welcome jordanyosh from sunny Southern California. Now, that is where I would really love to live if I could afford it! I have a bunch of family out there in San Dimas, Monrovia, Upland... Oh, and my multi-million dollar dream home is in Temecula. Right, like that's happening! :lmao:

It'll get to work posting your schedule on our front page. Hope you can come back and chat awhile...
:chat:

Thanks tnmom! She fits perfectly in her little bag!!!

And you are correct--- I eat some healthy meals so I can cheat on others ;)

Salad and chocolate go perfectly together!

Where in the heck are yall today???? Comeon now! This is my only time to type until the end of the day!

I know-- it's a trick--- Yall are all planning on getting on this afternoon when I can't respond... And I'll have 50 pages to catch up on tonight... Ahha! I've busted you!

See what happens when you have no one to talk to... You just start talking to yourself... At least DM understands!

I'm actually at school in our lab. I've been very blah and I still haven't been to class yet. I will be around after like 3:30 I get to go fight with a computer company in town and get my money back for a piece of crap charger.

I am here. The weather is so gloomy here in Va Beach, only in the 50's and very windy.
So sad about the Va Tech shootings :(...that is only a couple of hrs from here.

I'm at home sick today...so I'll be around for most of the day...unless I'm sleeping.

Okay, here's a question. Are most of you planning mid day breaks back at your resort?? I've only been in June once and that was in 1991. I usually go in Sept or Jan/Feb. I would like some advice as I'm trying to finish up itineraries for the 3 other families that I'm going with. I know it's really, really hot and my thinking is to rest during the hottest part of the day and then go back to the parks later in the afternoon.......

Horrible about the VA Tech shootings... I just keep personalizing it to LSU since that's where I work... It's hard not to.... I feel so sad for that entire community.

Jordan-- It's just my husband and I going, so we don't take breaks. Probably the only time we will is our AK day--- We don't need the entire day for that park, and that's our Pleasure Island night--- Since we'll be up a little later that night, a swim and a nap usually does us good.
