My kids have already been wearing shorts to school, and have played in the sprinkler twice! My rose bushes were ready to bloom, but a late freeze last week may have done those in. We usually thaw out at the end of March, and it gets cold and stays in November. For Halloween we always have to plan costumes that they can put layers under when necessary. Last year it was so hot they just had unders on beneath their outfit, and I was sweaty in a T-shirt and jeans! Couldn't wear shorts because the mosquitos were to bad! :lmao: Sorry to hear you still have snow... should I mention that we are having a cold snap, too? It will only be 60 today! Tomorrow will be 68. Tucker was mad this AM beause he had to wear a long sleeve shirt!

I know how you feel oh so well. It's suppose to be in the 70's by the weekend but this constant changing in temperatures has messed up my sinsues so bad.

Lucky for me, the rain knocked the rest of the pollen off the trees. Hopefully we can get back to normal now!

Good morning. We'll it's still raining in New York. They cancelled school today so the kids are home with me for my birthday. No mani/pedi for me today:sad1:

Happy Birthday!! Enjoy those kiddos today!!

Well dating 5 years seems to be the trend around here and we did too...started dating in 86 and got married in 91. We will be celebrating our 16th anniversary by leaving on our Disney trip that day!!

Oh just the treat of snow will close schools here...give us a 1/4" and like Karibritt said our schools would be closed for days :rotfl: & there would be NO milk or bread at any grocery store!!

We are supposed to hit a high of 34 degrees today... but possibly 50 by the weekend.... our daily average should be in the 50's now... its just been cold and snowy here for months.... we had an exchange student living with us until mid March... she was from Chile... she could not believe how much snow we had.... its funny because I drive about 15 minutes to work and the difference in the snow at the office and home is amazing....we could have 2 feet on the ground at home and a dusting at the office.... oh well.... if you live in Central NY you just have to accept the fact that we have 4 seasons... Almost spring, Was that Summer, Almost Winter and Winter....

Morning all! I got my wish for a snow day! :cool1:

Here's what we're waking up to:
DisneyJan07.jpg

It is so slushy and windy outside! I'm so thankful I don't have to go anywhere today. We're on the couch watching the episode of Full House where they go to Disney World right now! :thumbsup2

Now I just have to figure out how to entertain a bored and whiney 6-year-old for the rest of the day. Hmm... maybe a snow day was not such a good thing...

I always do popcorn and rent a pay-per-view... keeps them quiet for at least 1 1/2 hours! Or you could make homemade cookies... YUMMO!

Thought I'd make you all a little jealous with a pic of my backyard this AM...

Although, I wish we had a really good snow at some point!

I'm watching the Morning Show with Mike & Juliette and they are showing the new Disney wedding gowns...they are sooo pretty!!

Schools were delayed 2 hours at first but then they closed down. Now that they have already used up all their "snow days" they will have to make up a day sometime. I think they will have to go to school the Friday before Memorial Day (originally a day off).

Here's what we woke up to...

It's still snowing here and it is a very wet heavy snow. I need to dream about HOT HOT HOT days in June at Disney World.....

OK- after about an hour of reading 20 pages to catch up from the weekend.........

1. You all talk WAY too much ;)

2. Happy birthday Mandy and JJ

3. Courtney- sorry to tell you, but chicken ceaser salad isn't really that good for you (unless you use fat free dressing, then it is decent)

4. Scilla and I dated for a year before we got engaged, and we have had almost 2 years of being engaged before we get married

5. I woke up with no power this morning. Came to work- no power again. Got sent home, power was on, but there was also water in the basement. finished cleaning that up, work called, power back on, please come in (35 minute drive each way)

Feb 12 was our wedding. I haven't had a valentine's day since. :confused3

Rags... I am impressed that you kept up with all of your comments after 20 pages! I would have had to make notes!

Mandy... I meant to offer a belated birthday last night, and forgot. Forgive me??

Dm... love the pic - your snow is gorgeous! Does Jake like it? Star has to be forced to go out if the weather is anything less than perfect!

Here are some pics of me during my first trip to Disney in 1986 for my 8th birthday:woohoo:

The only thing I really remember about this trip was EVER line seemed to be almost 2 hours:scared1: I laugh now when I read about people thinking 30 minutes is way too long........

I am in the green celtics shirt in this picture

And this is a picture with my second favorite characters at the time (Figmint was #1)

We do not talk way too much. I mean, like, why would you even think that? We just have normal conversations and all and it's like we have to get to know each before we go down to Disney World so if you think we talk way too much then I am just disappointed in that thought but then again, maybe we do talk too much and I never really thought that we did but maybe we do so what do you all think about that comment that Rags said????? :lmao:

I absolutely HATE this snow. Jake is an American Eskimo so he does like the snow but he's getting older and arthritis is starting to creep in so he doesn't stay outside nearly as much as he used to.

I'm wishing I was in your backyard right now bouncing on the trampoline. Now THAT would be a site!

Those outfits on Chip and Dale are hysterical. I'm waiting for them to start break dancing!

I did forget to add about the women getting their way conversation.

I have been learning in the last few months that my new "favorite" words will be "Yes dear" :rotfl:

Yes, my Scilla thinks she is a princess and "ALWAYS" gets what she wants
