Thanks, all! She is my little princess - I'm a very proud mommy! :thumbsup2

Brittany - Your daughter looks lovely in her birthday dress! And any Spongebob fan is a friend of mine! :thumbsup2

Wow, DM, good eye on the Spongebob! We watch a lot of him around here. And I got some of those same fans at WalMart - I have a feeling they're going to be a life saver in the Florida heat!

DM--- Just read that thread... Looks like someone (the person you were going back and forth with) got her pant**s in a wad. Is that how the saying goes???? I mean, this board is supposed to be fun, right!!! He/She got a little too into it! Wow! Go you!

Brittany: LOVED your daughter's dress! Dana always loved to be "dressed up"... still does, actuallY! Hope she had a happy birthday! :bday:

Courtney: Sorry the festival wasn't profitable for you - but nice that you had a "Mom & Me" day! ;)

DM: How much for the fans? Is it worth a trip to Wal-Mart - a place I try to avoid like the plague?! :lmao: and what is that "thing" sticking out on the bottom?! the handle? the trigger?!

As for the "Molten Lava Cake" - I'm chuckling, because Dana & I have this thing about trying "Key Lime Pie" EVERYWHERE we go, but if they don't have it on the menu, she has to find SOME type of chocolate cake... She likes those lava cakes, but the BEST chocolate cake we've ever found is at the ranch we've been going to every Memorial Day weekend for the past 7 years! That's the benchmark of chocolate cakes...
"Mom, this is good - almost like "Rocking Horse Ranch Chocolate Cake"."

Thanks just great. I finally got the kids in bed & DH off the computer and your all gone:sad2:

Just back from the mall. I got my mom to go with us, and we had dinner in the food court. Can I just tell you how much I HATE Burger King! I don't know why I thought a chicken sandwich would be OK... it was gross. But I did find the kids and myself some crocs. I returned Avery's Disney crocs, and got her the hot pink croclings. Tucker got the blue croclings. They are really cute! I was mainly worried about the Disney crocs on Avery, as she is between sizes. Her foot is small for her age, and doesn't grow to fast, so I didn't like how they flopped around on her. I wish they made them more size-specific, instead of combining the sizes. Oh, well! I got the khaki ones for myself... figured they would go with almost anything!

Courtney... so sorry the festival sucked! Maybe the next one will be better. Have you ever looked into a booth in a local flea market?

Cool fans DM. I couldn't find any like that around here. I ended up getting 2 without the water (I hate being misted!) on ebay... $6 including the shipping. I also got 2 with the LED lights for the kids. I like to buy the light up stuff beforehand and take it with us. They have no idea I have been buying stuff already. When they start asking for stuff, I just whip it out. So far I have the fans, little fiber optic wands, and a light up Tigger lollipop.

My mom went to Home Depot today, and got me a ton of LGMH. Anybody having trouble finding them, let me know and I will share!

The fans are $2.97 each so I definitely think it is worth a trip down to Wal-Mart. It took me a bit to find them as they just don't group all the handheld fans together. There were the ones, I think, Courtney was describing at the end of one aisle, then the bigger misting fans down in the middle of that same aisle, and I found these little misting fans at the total opposite end of a different aisle! The thing hanging at the bottom of them is a caribiner clip. We tested one out last night and like it.

I absolutely love key lime pie. That is my dessert of choice. Evan wanted the Molten Chocolate and I just had to share with him  . Between Rob, Brooke, me & Evan, Evan must have eaten half of the dessert!!

Rats. They sound neat. Now I have to go to Wal-Mart. :headache:

I already got the other ones - but two don't mist - and as messy and annoying as the misting might be (especially to the people standing near you! lol) I really think I need misting. I had thyroid cancer, and my "internal thermometer" just does not work well. Add that to "pre-menopause" and if I could stand in a freezer all day, I would! :cool2:

I just hate to lug all that stuff around.. it was different in the days of "the stroller", and you could hang the diaper bag on the handle! lol
*lordy, what did I say?! Reminicing about DIAPERS?! NO! NO! NO!

YEP...we love the stroller at the parks. My youngest one still uses one. We bring the one with the big basket, and boy do we back that thing full...I guess we take more then we need because of not having to carry it.

These misting fans are very small. The hold in the palm of your hand. I will take a picture of it in my hand later today after church so you can get a sense of the size. Plus the clip will make it easier for you to carry.

Yup - gotta love them strollers. We will be bringing a backpack that we can just dump on the stroller top! Sometimes when I go to the mall w/o Brooke I feel empty w/o the stroller and hate to have to actually carry my purse!

Walmart...Are all your Walmarts Super Walmarts or just regular Walmarts? Do you do you grocery shopping at Super Walmart?
We have a ton of grocery stores within a mile of the house. I prefer to drive to the 5 miles to the Super Walmart. We walked in at 10:40am, and the lines each had 10 people in it, no lie. I asked my husband "Is tomororw a holiday I didnt know about"
Do your Super Walmarts get crazy?

I think we just have regular Walmarts. We have two within 5 miles of here, probably opening just in the last 2 years. After hearing people rave about them, I have to tell you, I was EXTREMELY disappointed my first visit. I make a point to stay clear now. Maybe they are nicer in other parts of the country, but around here, they are very sleezy looking. For that type of "discount mass-merchandising" store, I prefer Target, Kohls, or Sears. Again - that may just be this area.:confused3

Any fellow stalkers own DVC? Or thinking of it?
We do not own DVC. We looked into buying when the BCV were up for sale but never did it. We just can't afford them at this point. Maybe someday... I would love to rent someone's points sometime if any of you have any though.....

The only Wal-Mart close to us is just a regular Wal-Mart and I have to agree with SingingMom that it is pretty dirty and yucky to go into. I still go once in awhile, like yesterday, and I actually found a nice top there but, in general, I absolutely love Target!!!

There are plans to build a Super Wal-Mart just about a mile from my home and maybe that will be better. Who knows? I prefer to do my grocery shopping at Wegmans - which is only big in the Northeast. That store is awesome and only a mile away.
