Well, I think I'll just go ahead and talk for a second about the elephant that surely everyone else sees in the room. I'm pretty sure that people got "The Call" today. (Beyond the simple calendar demands of the paperwork, I submit as exhibit B the tell-tale silence of several of this board's Top-20 contributors . . .)

Way to go you guys!

Oh, and what's this about "being spied upon by the sponsors"?:cool2: If you're watching, I'm the guy in the boat. You know. The one that BLOWS.

Anyone else in here feel like paddling?

I agree they are suspiciously quiet, but I still think no news yet.

Let me do some quick google searches, cause if they indeed found out, you KNOW that websites and stuff will be being worked on.

Keep the faith!!!

Circusgirl:
Tonight I am honored to introduce someone who is truly a special spirit. She
dwells in a world very different than our own, and understands what it is to be on the outside looking in. She brings a unique perspective to the next category
and I want you all to give a big splashy welcome to Ariel, The Little Mermaid!!!

(APPLAUSE)

Ariel:
Thank you all so much for having me here tonight! I especially appreciate the next award, Forbidden Film. I know what it is to want to be a part of a world and to be near and yet so far away. This award is for those who for could only dream about being CMO because their videos were considered ineligible according to the rules of the contest.

Bill Burke - This version is forbidden because there is a music soundtrack playing behind the whole video.

Cody and Toby - Two is terrifically sweeter than one, even if their duo video wasn’t considered a valid entry.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXN9rIPmPBA&NR=1

The Disney Dream Job Winners 2007 -
They were explicitly mentioned as ineligible in the contest rules, the whole pack of them, but we love them anyway.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yb7XQN6rQE

Donald Duck -
We admire his drive, his persistence and his general fluffiness.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDiHzDYyCjA&eurl=http://www.donaldcmo.com/

Rod Kroger -
Too long by far, even with some twiddling of the speed dial.

Congratulations to all the winners so far, and especially to our very own HMF.
This is so fun! I just made popcorn for my "For your consideration" evening video viewing.

Circusgirl! Awesome job--very clever, I love how you came up with the part of your world theme! :thumbsup2
And thanks for the nom for the brothers, they'll be thrilled just to be included!:goodvibes

Dr. Hans, do you know if Suz is around?

I'm about ready to present nominations, but just waiting on Suz and Cat, my partners in crime!

JG: I also starred in Best Picture nominee "Juno".

HMF: Yes, great movie, now onto the nominees.

HMF: Exactly Jennifer, voices just like that.

JG: (In a Donald Duck voice) Lets get on to the nominees.

HMF: About time.

The nominees for "Outstanding Achievement in Vocal Presentation" are:

CalDisneyFamily/Wendy for being able to transition so effortlessly from herself to the Magic Mirror: http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-236FD0B9D37363D3341B115B30EFC276

TLP127/Tracy for showing so much enthusiasm and excitement in her voice... and also for getting out so many puns in such a short amount of time: http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-64D7844B4EE86B77845BF1DBD2EBEC90

Luna99 for talking like Chip & Dale for the entire 60 seconds.... phew: http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-E44E7B17AAFA41C3D7A16A456D95953D

Mark for so talking about Disney with so much "passion" and "excitement": http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-3ABB64FD7B47C13A2F88121309F5D073

Mike for doing impersonations of ummm..... uhhhh.... I think Goofy at the beginning: http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-90B6415E38C95EC16FA0533E8DDFE4D1

HMF: Congrats to all of our nominees.

JG: And congrats to me Jennifer Garner.

HMF: You talked through the whole process.

JG: I'm just so excited.

HMF: Do you remember that tooth extraction scene from the first season of "Alias"?

JG: Yes, that was so tough to film.

HMF: Well keep talking then.

JG: What was that?

HMF: Nothing..... you look beautiful, congratulations to everyone.

ok, I could have SWORN I saw Bill Burke's video on the site without the music....so I just wrote up the whole thing (which I thought was funny) about Bill explaining what happened to the music and then was going to post the link to his non-music video...

But I just went through all the Disney videos thumbnails and couldn't find his...so now don't know if I'm smokin something or if Disney just didn't post it today (since it's only a 'sample').

Does anyone else remember Bill Burke (guy who tries to use his Key to the Kingdom card to open his front door) in the non-music version? If so, I'll go ahead and post...:confused3

It occurred to me that people may not have read the entire thread... (really? not read 200 pages? lazy.) In any case, I meant to provide some context with the actual posts that led up to the Outstanding Post.

...So now that the finalists have been notified, do we all still have to be nice Dis'ers and say "Your video was awesome!"... when really it was just awful? :rotfl:

I think the law of Thumper applies here.

"If you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say nohing at all"!;)

TC:cool1:

Good one! I will try to remember that as I try to regain the magic today. Thanks for reminding me!

Rabbit stew anyone? :rotfl:

I give you:

Marshay - You are right. I cheated a little because I thought the video deserved a little attention. The YouTube version has the music, therefore is the forbidden version. He talks in his comments about discovering the no music clause and pulling the music out before submitting it. Sorry - I wasn't trying to gaslight you!

Just terrific HMF. Well done. And you and Jennifer both looked gorgeous. :worship:

And GREAT nominees! OMG.. had to edit again for one nominee in particular. Such passion!!! Killer!!!

Love it HMF!!! You have quite a relationship with Jen! :lmao: Very clever!
Congrats again on your award too!

DR. HANS: And now, to present the award for Best Foreign Language Film, please welcome international star of stage and screen, none other than Zorro himself, Antonio Banderas!

ANTONIO: Muchas gracias, amigo. Y a todos mis amigos quienes hablan castellano, les doy un gran “shout out.” !Hola, vatos. Esto es por la raza! It is my honor to be here tonight, and thank you for letting me remove my shirt.

DR. HANS: No, thank you! I might remind you, however, estimado senor, that this is a show para la familia.

ANTONIO: Ah si. Enough sexy. (Shirt replaced, yet unbuttoned and draping.) From its earliest days, when its flagship was just beginning to blossom in the middle of California orange country, our sponsor has been daringly imaginative, boldly innovative, and sensitive to the language needs of all peoples. In our zeal to honor our colleagues esta noche, let us remember in our hearts that for every Snow White there is a Blanca Nieves, for every Donald Duck an Aku Ankka, and for every Mickey Mouse a Miki Egér. Tonight, we recognize those who, in their quest to become CMO, spoke in tongues that we may not know, but which we all understand.

And the nominees are:

Mr. “have a magical” Emilio
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJLJ9zScMhE

Ms. “come over and say Hi” Susan
http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-0C3FB94F7B8FDE6D20ED41731B1B447B

Doctor “never is it too much!” Bill (whose T-shirt will soon be available for $35.99 in the Discademy gift shop)
http://www.dreamcmo.com/view-dream-cmo-applicant.php?CMODID=CMO-CCE78AC108028163E2422EA59756B43B

Felicitaciones to the nominees. Paz out! Melanie, bring the auto.
