Diser's for CMO!

Hey, Marshay: You're not going crazy! ;)

If you dreamed it, then I did, too, because that pre-parade entertainment "bit" (task #3) also stands out in my mind. (It's actually part of the reason I didn't rush to apply. ...that and time constraints, which would have prevented me from putting together a competitive video. I decided that someone else would be far better suited than me for the pre-parade "show"! )

Hmmmmm - twin dreams ;)

A friend of mine won that and didn't use it so gave it to me to use in December. I didn't use it, so gave it to someone else. Hopefully it got used!

There were 5 of us in all, we gave them to the other Dream Job Winners for them to enjoy.

Holy cow. This thread has exploded since I was last here... wow! I'm excited to find out who the Top 10 are. What I'm most excited to find out about though, once the voting is over, is what the "reality-show type games" are going to be that the Top 3 will be participating in. Any guesses?

Sorry if it's already been covered in the previous 72 pages. ;) Just point me in the right direction if it has.

Well, there is the all new American Idol! :rotfl2:

Oh, I bet it will be quite in here tonight - both Survivor and Lost are on!

What are the non watchers going to do without us? ;)

I'm glad I've got TiVo. Deal or No Deal, Survivor, Lost, Apprentice, American Chopper and Ace of Cakes all in the same night. It will take me a week to watch them all.

I can use my DVR tonight thank goodness so I can relate! Lost and Survivor are generally shows I don't let my 5 year old see.

As a rabid watcher of the Oscar's, I still have a couple movies to see to be completely prepared, so tonight I am giving up Lost to go see "There Will Be Blood", it's the last night I can possibly go....thank goodness they have been doing the Lost repeat the next week (they are still doing that, right??)

Anne

How old is she? My son is 5, and the doc says 105 is when you need to worry. My nephew and a friends child both went into convulsions with 106 so I would start worrying at 105!

:wizard: (wish I really was so I could make her all better!)

thanks for the kind words...she's 2.5 years old...

Holy moly! I get busy at work and don't check for a few days and I have like 20 pages to wade through!! :scared1: Before I start replying, let me say...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Here is the fun part... anybody who posts "Count Me In" on this forum before 11 PM eastern time tonight will qualify for the prize.

If I match all five numbers PLUS the mega ball... I'll treat everyone who has qualified (plus 3 guests each) to 7 days and 6 nights at Walt Disney World in Florida in a Deluxe Resort. How can I do this you ask? Because I will have won $150 Million Dollars... so I'll spread the magic around!!!

Wow - we're not worthy! :worship: :worship: I miss one day, and see what I possibly missed??? See, that's why you didn't win the lotto, you had to wait for more of us to jump on the bandwagon so you can spend more of your hard-earn...err...hard-won money! ;) I probably won't be on on Friday, since I rarely get on in the evenings (tonight's the exception, since DH is at work). Can I put my name in for Friday?? ;)

Even if I don't make it to the Top 10, I will still pursue a job with Disney. I can't tell you how many times I have almost walked into Casting while on a trip. I may have to drop in in March.

I'm too scared to walk in. DH went in for a job fair, and I made him describe EVERY DETAIL of the building to me!! :rotfl: The doorknobs are from Alice in Wonderland, did you know that? They told DH all the salaried jobs you have to apply for online, which is they kind of job I'd want.

Congrats Tripp - I happy it went well for you! As for walking into casting on a trip - - -yeah, I've done that :)

Ooh, do tell?!!?!?! What did they tell you? How did it go??

Yeah!! Another girl! I can't wait to see the Top 10! Congrats, btw, to everyone on your interviews. I'm sure they all went great! :goodvibes

I've got EVERY digiprize from the new Disney Dreams contest I can send your way!

Oooh, is that offer open to everyone, or just to poster #1000??

Anyway, I am still interested in hearing other people's dream jobs....

I'd love to be on Disney's special events planning team, since that's what I do now and I love it. DH and I moved from Texas 4 months ago specifically so I could pursue my dream of working at Disney. Someday...

They are providing all Top 10 finalists with a prototype Kenny4000 promotional automaton. So... even if they can't say anything... you'll know when they have been contacted because the RoboKennys will be unleased on an unsuspecting public.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We also got dreamed at Typhoon Lagoon, coming off of Crush N Gusher. The funny thing was... the park was pretty empty that day. So... as we came off, we were given dream mouse ears (three of us there while the little ones napped).

We went to ride the other Crush N Gusher slides... then when we came back down, we got mouse ears again! Which was fine... because now we had them for the whole family.

After that... we were given mouse ears AGAIN after riding the slides two more times. We tried to decline... but it was clear that the dream squad couldn't get out of there until they passed out all of those ears. They practically insisted we take them... AGAIN. The 4th time, it was just funny... so we laughed and took them. So... I saved the extra 6 ears... and we played dream squad later in the day for another family of 6 that we ran into.

I am SOO jealous!! I want dream ears sooo badly, since I collect mouse ears. I've seen them being given out, but we've just never been in the right place at the right time. I didn't even know they were giving out dream prizes at the water parks!

In my research that I saw, the "reality-show games" were:

1) Decorate a Disney resort room to make it magical

2) Create your own CMO costume and hat

3) Entertain a crowd of people prior to the start of a parade.

Oohh!! I didn't see that anywhere, but that's interesting to think about. I don't think I would have done well at #1 or #2, so it's just as well I'm not a finalist! :scared:

It sure does help to just sit back and read everyone's comments! "I just wish I could fly away to the Happiest Place on Earth for the weekend to pull myself together. "

It does help to go to the parks!!! Energy/happiness/magic level goes right up!!!! I've been twice since discovering that I didn't make the top 20...(It also helps to live down the street from Disney, but hey, I would live no where else, exept maybe Florida!!)

Happy Valentine's Day to all!!!

CalDisneyFamily :lovestruc

Well, before I entered, I was reading everything I could on the CMO contest -- maybe it was in the "small print" of the rules? Either there or it was a newspaper article talking about the contest.

Did anyone else come across this?? I thought it was public knowledge...or maybe I just dreamed it...

You didn't dream it. But how fun would that be if you and DISgeeksfromDC had the same dream about the CMO position! Here's the site:

Now, I've got to go watch my recording of LOST. I wish I had a Tivo. I still use the old fashioned VCR. Do you remember when that was cutting edge technology?

iwynlea... you can get in for Friday early... if you visit the website listed on my video and follow the links.

My way of using my website in case it becomes irrelevant in the next few days.

Thanks for sending the link...now at least I know I wasn't making it up altogether!

It'll be interesting to see what the actual events are...I love watching some of the reality shows when I get a chance (AI, PR, ANTM) so this would be great to see...

Hmmm, sounds like Disney would have a big hit (at least for us DISsers) if they'd actually do a reality show on ABC at one of the Disney parks!

On that note, anyone going to try out for the new AI contest at DHS?

Random side note here . . . my wife and I went to see Lion King (the musical) here in Pittsburgh tonight for Valentine's Day. WOW.

Still in awe here . . .
