Remember today is the Donald QWA-HACK day!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

I don't know who it is... but somebody is very nervous right now. The first Top 20 interview begins in just a few minutes...

Congratulations not only to the finalists but to each and every one of you who entered the CMO contest. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the videos and am blown away by the wealth of talent and passion for Disney all of you have shown. I did not enter the contest myself (way too camera shy!), but I stumbled onto this forum when I became curious to see who the first round of finalists might be.

As much as I love Disney characters, my love of a good mystery makes me more of a Nancy Drew type, and I am more than a little intrigued by the “mystery” I’ll call “The Case of the Missing Thirteen.” Who are the other thirteen finalists, and why are they choosing to remain anonymous?

I agree with the theories put forth by others on this forum as to why the 13 might choose to fly under the radar, but those same theories might well lead us to their identities. Who wants to play? I’ll go first with my next post coming soon.

Not to sound too naive, but is it possible that the other semi-finalists just don't visit DIS? Perhaps they aren't the internet forum type of people?

When the first finalists came forward, there were a few initial grumblings of how loaded with special effects the winning videos seemed to be in comparison to most average home movies. That might have immediately discouraged any finalist whose video might be deemed as too professional and polished from revealing themselves, which brings me to my first guess as to one of the “Closet Finalists”… Chad Thompson. (If you haven’t seen his excellent video, go to YouTube and search Chad CMO.)

Here’s my reasoning. If you watch his video on YouTube, you might notice it was posted by someone who calls themselves rocketace, and the description posted with it starts by saying “All of us here at RAMP just wanted to throw our official support behind our good friend Chad Thompson.” Dig a little deeper, and you’ll learn that RAMP stands for Rocket Ace Moving Pictures. Their own website says they are a Toronto-based “cutting edge film production house” which “oversees various production activities throughout Canada and a core writing team of over half a dozen talented and award-winning writers throughout Canada and the United States.” Chad Thompson is an actor in RAMP’s Dead End Days, an internet mini-series. RAMP’s other mini-series is called Cerealized (episodes also posted on YouTube by rocketace but not totally G-rated so be forewarned) and GET THIS, the kitchen used in episodes of Cerealized is the same one used in Chad’s CMO video.

A couple of people have posted messages under Chad’s YouTube video asking if he made the top 20, but neither he nor rocketace have responded despite the fact that their last logins (according to the YouTube profile) have been more recent than those inquiries from well-wishers.

I think there’s a good chance he’s one of the “Missing Thirteen.” To his credit, he obviously loves Disney, and his video is totally entertaining and charming. I liked it so much that when his name didn’t immediately appear on this forum as a finalist, I kept checking YouTube for any news which is how I inadvertently became more intrigued by rocketace/RAMP and one thing led to another. Had his name appeared with the others who came forward in the beginning, I would never have looked beyond the video itself. I’ll be eager to hear if anyone else has any other theories.

Too funny! :rotfl: I don't know if anyone noticed, but all of the endorsements from Donald Duck's friends (Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto) originate from donaldduck@donaldcmo.com ("Entry by donaldduck@donaldcmo.com.") :rotfl2: And there's a "Contact Me" link from which people can forward a message to the same address. (I'm almost tempted to send something just to see what would happen ... :rolleyes1 )

'Gotta love Disney's attention to detail! :thumbsup2 They're not above adding little details that help authenticate a storyline - part of what makes Disney so magical, I think! :rotfl:

I just sent a little note of support for him. I guess I am the sucker that still believes in all of this stuff. Now, I kind of feel stupid !! I really hope I am not the only one that contacts him. Come on you all, wasn't Donalds breakfasourous worth one little vote?

I sent a note as well. It will be interesting to see what does happen with the notes we send.

I think they are lost on an island off the Indonesian coast. 4-8-15-16-23-42

Jinkies! (Ok... that's Velma..but she's Nancy Drew-like") You sure did your investigative work on that one! I'll check out the video. It will be interesting to see if you are right... but I suspect you and those meddling kids already know.

I've done some research of my own and I think I've got all of the finalist's figured out:

Finalist #8 is an inmate at Folsom Prison who made a great video in the style of Johnny Cash. (sing along... Because your mine... I walk the line... I want your vote, for C-M- Oat) I thought that lyric was a little odd, didn't you? However, he was eliminated by the background check because of that sticky attempted jaywalking charge.

Finalists #9 & #10 are a pair of siamese twins. Disney and careerbuilder have their lawyers on the case, trying to determine if they could award the prize to both. They originally were going to select only one of them for the Top 20... but the twins don't get along. So... they are afraid of problems if one twin wins, but has the other twin tagging along being snarky.

Finalist #11 is Miley Cyrus who should have been declared ineligble, but she entered as Rhoda Dakota... trying to hide her Hanna Montana connections.

Finalist #12 is an employee of Universal who is trying to infiltrate the contest like Slugworth in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Finalists #13-17 are laying low... feeling that Disney may be looking for someone who is introverted and shy. Sadly, they don't know that they each have 3 competitors for the painfully shy CMO vote. They will later form an alliance and vote for one another... if... only ... they can find the strength to communicate with other humans.

Finalist #18 is a Dis board member from the future. She invented a time machine to come back and do their phone interview. Ironically, when her time machine came back to the present, it accidentally squished a butterfly which ended up ending all life as we know it next Tuesday and made the contest a tad bit moot.

Finalist #19 is Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots. He is laying low while he has his minions secretly filming the lives of the other contestants... looking for some way to destroy them. (I think this is the secret one that Ricky Brigante knows about)

Finalist #20 is Rudolph Guiliani, who will begin his campaign on March 21st, right before the cutoff. His theory is that those last two days of voting will cancel out any momentum that the Painfully Shy Alliance is able to generate.

Of course, these are only theories. I could definitely be wrong about one or two of them.

I e-mailed Donald. You will get a message back that says...uh... well... I don't won't to ruin it for you. Just check your e-mail in box in a few. I better run before people start ripping my CMO video again. Good luck to everyone doing interviews this week!

I thought it was pretty nice of them to actually mention me by name on their blog.:cool1:

You have an incredible imagination - Disney and CB did good when they picked you - thanks so much for this. It did make me laugh!

lol Trippy - no worries! I did get a response back, and after that decided to send one from my son. So - I started it, and told him to let me know what he wanted to say. It has been sent.

While I loved the response, it is to bad they couldn't personalize them :(

Okay guys someone was asking about the other three that I mentioned earlier as some of my favorites, but I couldn't find their videos... well I dug around and here they are and one was Chad Thompson who someone else just mentioned here-

These were just a few of my favorites that apparently aren't in the top 20...or are they? I guess we'll never know!

Okay, who the heck is Benjamin Thompson? We have all of our email set to have people send read receipts, and the 'read' email came from him.
