Then he found me on facebook, we started talking more (we'd be chatting and texting til the wee hours of the morning :) ), and that eventually led to us hanging out one night and everything sort of fell into place after that. I still can't believe it, after talking about it so much with you girls. I'd been crushing on him for MONTHS!

Uh huh...it just eventually led to you hanging out one night. You failed to mention who basically FORCED you to say yes that first night. Multiple texts back and forth....who might that person be?? Probably the same person that on this very thread told you a LONGGGGGGGGGG time ago you needed to get with this guy....uh huh....let's just say I better be invited to the wedding. :lmao:

Oh and welcome aboard Amber!

:rotfl2: Ok, ok Shelby. Sorry I left you out of the story. When he asked me to hang out, I had no idea how to react and you and my sis talked me through it. :rotfl: Your invite will be the first one in the mail! Cause you're classy! ;)

Hi Amber! Welcome!

CLASSY!??! Who? Me??? You must have me confused with someone else. I've been told that I'm classLESS. :woohoo:

Hey ladies! The wedding is over and I didn't kill my mother in the process! A feat of extreme strength I tell you.

She is STILL driving me nuts about the stupid cruise though. I love my mom, I really do, but she has this ability to drive anyone up a wall. She thinks she knows it ALL and she thinks everything should be HER way. That's really funny right now because although I haven't been on a cruise in 17-18 years, I know far more about Carnival, the Miracle and cruises on the Miracle than she does now or will afterwards. Thanks you CruiseCritic. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The wedding was stressful but now it's over and it was beautiful. The pics are up on Facebook. I'm so glad that's over now. Jay is so shy and hates people looking at him, so he was soooo stiff the whole time. LOL I was nervous too but refused to admit it to him. :) I'm so happy to be married to him after all these years. We've known each other for about 17 - 18 years, been really good friends throughout those years, even though there were times we didn't talk for a lonnnng time (he had girlfriends that hated him being friends with me. LOL). And now, after being together 5 years we finally got married.

I'm just ready for the 29th to get here so we can get on that ship and head out for 8 days of fun. Oh, and according to my mom I'm not allowed to talk about the cruise timeline on facebook because someone might rob us while I'm gone. She read an article about it and since she has her salon at home everyone already knows she's going so by me talking about it even more will know and someone might rob us. You know, one of my FRIENDS might do it I guess. (insert MAJOR eyeroll)

Oh my!

I'm on Cruise Critic alot too! I don't post alot b/c, geez, they are snarky on that site! Anyway, I can't wait to see your wedding pics.

Hope you guys have a great time on your cruise and Congrats again on your marriage!

Congrats, Erin! Are you sure your mom isn't mine, they sound a LOT alike! :rotfl2:She does have a point about facebook, though. My hubby deals with that stuff at work, you would be AMAZED at how much info complete strangers can get based on someone's facebook status. Knowing the insider stuff I do, I don't ever post on facebook or twitter anymore when we will be away for extended periods of time.

Is it wrong that I take what you say more seriously than my mom???? LOL She has been driving me CRAZY so I just feel like a rebellious child right now...I want to tell her everything she says is WRONG! :lmao:

I've been obsessed with CruiseCritic for months now, so I've got a pretty good idea of what's going on with the cruise. So when she tells me something and I know it's wrong, I gently try to tell her otherwise, but she doesn't want to hear it b/c I haven't cruised since 1992. Ok, so I haven't, but I've been obsessively researching this cruise since we booked it...so nanny nanny boo boo! Oh, and thanks to my knowledge, they now have $470 onboard credit. We have $200...so not fair. LOL

Hello ladies!

Well I'm home from my vacation and HORRIBLY depressed. It was unbelievably the most amazing time, and actually I think beat the NKOTB cruise last year. WAY less craziness so more time for fun. I know it's not New Kids related, so y'all might not be as interested, but figured I'd give ya a quick rundown in case you wanted any details. I was HOPING to have my pics loaded online to go along with this, but I just haven't had the chance yet, so I'll be posting a link later. The pics really make the story better.
Just to give a quick rundown of all the acts onboard, we had:
3 Doors Down
Lifehouse
Shinedown
Angel Taylor
Black Stone Cherry
Carolina Liar
Finger Eleven
Green River Ordinance
Nic Cowan
Parachute
SAFETYSUIT
Secondhand Serenade
7DayBinge
Trailer Park Ninjas

We got up around 5am and headed to the airport. Had a great flight down. Once we got our luggage and got to the hotel we headed to the restaurant for lunch and cocktails. Then we headed back up to the room to organize our luggage, rest, and get ready for the Lifehouse concert that night. The venue wasn't that great, but it was fun to see the two opening acts perform because they would also be joining us on the cruise, and I wasn't familiar with them. They were Angel Taylor and Green River Ordinance. Both really great. Then Lifehouse came on and just killed it. They were really really great. It was standing room only, and we were about second row from the stage, and cutie pie lead singer Jason asked if anyone was going on the cruise, so of course I went nuts. He noticed me, pointed, and asked, "You? You're going on the cruise with us?" Swoon!

Relaxing day. Headed to the hotel beach, then met up with some friends who live in Tampa for dinner at Ruth's Chris
Thursday, April 15
Port day! Our friends were kind enough to drive us to the port. No problems checking in and getting on board. Once we got on, we hung out on the Lido deck waiting for our room to be ready. Lo and behold, who comes strolling up, Jason the lead for Lifehouse and Ricky the drummer. Managed to get my first band pic of the cruise with Jason, but Ricky had already disappeared. We got down to our rooms soon after and realized a bunch of the artists were staying on our floor, including the two we saw the previous night, Angel Taylor and Green River Ordinance. GRO was actually right next door, so I started blasting their music and they all came barreling over. So I got a couple pics in our cabin of them. Then we went back on deck for Sail Away, ran into Ricky from Lifehouse again and got a pic. Saw Carolina Liar kick off the cruise, then got ready for the Three Doors Down show for the night. Before the show we ran into 3/4 of Carolina Liar and got pics. Then the show. Three Doors Down was AWESOME. They put on a great show. We stayed up a while after the show, but we were so exhausted we didn't make it super late night.

Pool day! We hung out on the Lido deck sunning ourselves and listening to the bands play music. We ran into Ricky from Lifehouse again at the pool bar and this time I managed to chat with him for a half hour or so and get some more pics. That night was 80s night, but didn't really have crazy outfits. Once we were ready we went to catch GRO in one of the lounges. Lo and behold Jason and Bryce from Lifehouse walk in. I stopped to say hi to them and both of them look at me a minute and exclaimed, "Wait, I know YOU!" Bryce added, "You're the one who was tweeting on the ship to go here and there." I was sooooo embarrassed but slightly flattered that they knew me. We took some more pics with them and also with Ben when he showed up. After that we headed up to the Lido deck to get ready for Shinedown, when once again Lifehouse comes up behind us and all the members immediately stop to chat with us. SOOOO fun. Shinedown was great, then at some point between shows/lounges I ran into Lifehouse again, Angel Taylor, Nic Cowen, and some of the guys from Carolina Liar again. More pics.

Our day in Grand Cayman. We were prettttttty tired from being up so late but we managed to get up in time for Parasailing. It started to rain halfway through while we were up, and we were actually the only pair that were allowed to get up before the storm came in. Thoroughly soaked, we got back to the ship. We couldn't do much, so I headed to the gym, then the skies cleared and we headed up to the Lido deck for some sun. Lifehouse played an acoustic set in the atrium as we were leaving the Lido deck to get ready for the night, so we caught that as well. That night we caught some more performances. Lifehouse was playing host in the casino so we hung out with them some more, goofed around, and took more pics. We ran into some other musicians that night too, but it's all kind of tough to remember here without pics to jog my memory. We also caught Shinedown's main performance that night.

Last day. :( Spent the whole day by the pool, from 7am to 5:30pm. Lots of bands played, and we just hung out with all the people and musicians, having a great time. We got ready for the final show of the cruise, Lifehouse was the feature performance, and our good friend we made from Sixthman, Kappy, snuck us in to front row for the show. Carolina Liar played first and were AMAZING. I'm a big fan of them now. Then Lifehouse had another amazing set. They have the best personalities. And then we just partied the night away until the wee hours of the morning when we had to get ready to leave the ship.

Sounds AMAZING Kim!!!! I love a lot of those bands, what fun it must have been! We are considering going with my BFF and her hubby on the Zac Brown Band cruise in September. There are a bunch of other bands that will be there too. I wonder if it will have as fun as yours?!!

It WAS amazing, Heather! I'm sure you guys would have a blast on the Zac Brown Band one. Sixthman really knows how to put together an event. I already said that we are totally going if they have another one next year. Best part is, there's no crazy sell-out like the New Kids cruise.

Pics are up on my facebook page! I have way more pics, but I believe most of the important ones are posted on my page.

Glad you had a great (and even better then NKOTB) cruise! Those peeps on twitter seem to think there is no other cruise to take besides that one.

Glad you had such an amazing time on your cruise Kim! You really deserved a wonderful vacation! I'm going to look at the pics on FB! :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

My sister just bought tickets to the 6/18 show at RCMH! :woohoo: I had tickets to the 6/19 show but Kris is celebrating his 30th birthday that night and I'd feel like a total jerk if I missed it. So I told my sister if we could get tickets to another show, I'd give her those so she could go with her friend. So now she's going 2 nights in a row and I upgraded from the mezz seats I had to orchestra, 17th row!

Ladies...I'm about to lose my mind. LOL I feel like I've been packing for DAYS!! Oh wait...I HAVE!

I have nearly all of my clothes packed, all of the boys (just waiting on a couple of things in the dryer), Jay started his packing but I know he has plenty left to put in there. I still have to get all of the miscellaneous stuff together now...the toiletries, ipods, chargers, DS's and chargers, snacks for the ride up and home, sunscreen, stuff to keep the kids entertained on the ride, stuff to keep Carson busy in the dining room, etc etc.

We leave on Thursday at 5:15am to head to my mom's where we'll meet up with everyone else, load up the bus and head to NYC!!! We had too many people and stuff for a limo, so my mom rented one of those little buses from the limo service...except much to the dismay of myself AND my boys, it's not a true party bus...it's not all decked out or anything. It's just...a bus. LOL We wanted to arrive in style.

I'm so tired and we haven't even left yet. Packing for all of us for 8 days is a nightmare! I'm so glad we aren't flying because that would be more stressful. I know I'm probably taking more than I need to take, but I hate worrying that I won't have what we need...it's not like we can just head to Wal Mart or Target if we forgot something. LOL So, clearly I'm taking a break right now. Wyatt is at school, Jay is at work and Carson is at my Mommom's. She and her husband are already completely packed. Showoffs!!!!

Have a FANTASTIC time, Erin!!! I know it is so stressful to get ready, but it will be worth it! Just think of how much fun you will have... and how much laundry you will have when you get back! :rotfl2:Just kidding! Enjoy yourself! Can't wait to see pictures!

Have so much fun, Erin! Packing and organizing for EVERYone is a pain, but you're going to have so much fun it will be worth it. :)
