What happened with Jon & Jordan. They are thanking everyone for their thoughts during this time. Did they lose a loved one?

And what did they do to their feet?

Their grandmother passed away!!! Thoughts and prayers to their family.

Jordan had surgery on his right foot and evidently Jon has to have surgery on both!! Jon said something about arthritis. Not quite sure what was up with Jordan, but his doc said if he ever wanted to dance again without pain that he would need surgery.

Girls, I'm just exhausted. :headache: Noah's been sick since Sunday and last night he was up coughing and it sounded like a barking dog. Next thing I knew he was in my room unable to breathe. He could barely get any air in. I told him to quickly go get his nebulizer going which he did. It helped but took a few minutes. It broke my heart though, he was shaking like a leaf, his eyes were huge and he started to cry. He could barely get any air at all!! :sad1: He then used his inhaler which helped better. Even when he was done with both it still sounded like his throat was covered with webs when he tried to breathe. It was horrible. I ran a hot shower and he went into my bathroom and breathed in the steamy, hot air. By then he was breathing at least a little better but honestly, I was about 2 minutes away from rushing him to the ER. :sad2:

All of this happened between 2 and 4am. SO I'm BEAT!!! I'm sure he'll be tuckered out too. And of course he just started school last Tuesday and already missed Monday. We're headed to the Dr this morning and if they tell him to stay home I'm going to FREAK. (although they will be excused) But he's going to miss 4 days when we're away in 9 days. :scared1: What a perfect way to kick off the school year.

Sorry to vent but I'm STRESSED!!!

:hug:Sorry to hear about Noah! Poor little guy. I hope he's doing much better today. I understand completely where you are coming from. Braelynn missed her entire first week this year because of her surgery. Hopefully he will be much better before you leave for your trip.

It's been a crazy week here as well. Hubby is working 16 hour days to get done with a big job by the end of the month. We see him on Sundays and I think there is a body that sleeps in my bed with me (although I'm not sure sometimes). So it will be nice to have him back at the end of the month. Other than that I am trying to get a small side baking business up off the ground, so wish me luck with that!

It's Wednesday so the week is almost over. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Heather - be sure to tell Brian to be safe over there and we will keep him in our prayers! I think I remember her saying something about him leaving on the 17th!

Anyway, back to work for me.

Wow, Shelby, rough night! Here's hoping the doctor's visit goes well and Noah is past the worst of it.

OK, since we like to air our grievances here, as many of you on FB know, my new jerk bosses laid me off Monday. My original boss (who is still my supervisor and I love dearly) sold the business to these people early in the year and "supposedly," things were staying the same. These people suck. They have slowly been stripping our staff of responsibilities and throwing their own minions in.
Anyway, I put in for maternity leave early August and then I was told to train someone to take over my responsibilities just for that time. The person I am training was under that assumption also. So, I get this person all trained and next thing you know, I get laid off ... seven months pregnant. And then they have the nerve to send out a company-wide email and wish me well in my future professional endeavors! ***holes.
I'm still employed through the end of the month, but they are trying to make my life difficult during that time by demanding set schedules from me on what I am doing and when ... never happened before, I think they are trying to pin me in a corner. Since Monday, I've been coming down with what I think are regular seasonal allergies, but will only give the next couple of days before I go to the doctor. I haven't exactly been sleeping and eating well since I've been so mad. And if they stress me out anymore, I have a feeling my OB will recommend some sick time off come my visit on Tuesday. I have seven sick days left and if my doctor says I need rest, I dare them to try to not pay me for those days.
But there is a silver lining ... I already have another job lined up! A friend of mine started a business publication in South Texas and wants me on as his Web master, starting mid-October. YAY! I've also been asked by another Web developer if I would be interested in doing some work for that company as jobs come down the line.

Oh my Shelby! So sorry to hear about Noah. I can't imagine how scary it was for BOTH of you. I have asthma myself and have used a nebulizer in the past, but mine is not even remotely that severe.

Angey, I cannot believe your company did that to you! That's outrageous.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Thanks, girls. Noah went to the Dr yesterday and he is now on Prednisone, antibiotics and his nebulizer 4x a day. He is already improving and went to school today.

Only 8 days until Disney!!! SO excited!!!

Angey, I can't believe they did that to you! That's ridiculous!!

A couple of you know this via twitter but my cousin (only 28 yrs old) passed away. I was in Universal for work and my sister called me almost as soon as I arrived to tell me that she was found unconscious Sunday morning. She was in a coma and remained that way until she passed yesterday morning. It is just so sudden and shocking. She has a 6 year old daughter and I feel so awful for her. I haven't had the chance to see her yet but she must be devastated. She adored her mom.

I just can't believe it. I was just at an NKOTB concert with her in June...

I'm so sorry, Jenny. How awful. That poor little girl. :sad1:

Thank you. I saw her daughter last night and she seemed ok. I don't think it's really sunk in yet. I have to go to the wake later on today and the funeral is tomorrow. It's going to be a rough couple of days.

Jenny, I hope you're able to enjoy yourself on your trip. It's probably the best thing to get away right now.

Just popping in to say hi. I want to get all the kids' clothes put aside to be packed today. I have lots of laundry to do and some cleaning as well. I haven't had a chance since I'm working plus I've been sick. Thankfully the antibiotics kicked in because my face was TOTALLY aching. It was horrible.

Noah is on the mend and feeling good, the only thing left is a cough. Dan and I still have some nasal congestion but nothing like it was before. It was BRUTAL!!

Today Becca woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. (which is how all of us started when we got sick) :sad2: So, I'll be calling our Dr tomorrow to see if in light of our trip they will just call something in for her. I know it's going to be just like the rest of us.

I actually feel relieved that she's sick now, I knew she would get it and was so worried it would start Thursday or Friday or during the trip. I'd rather her get it, get medicated and be better. :)

So, the kids still have NO idea. SOOOOO excited!!! :cool1:

How are you all doing? Everyone healthy???

Shelby... hope everyone is feeling better soon!

Happy Monday, ladies! Hope everyone has a great week!

Feel like I haven't posted in forever. Just wanted to check in. Shelby, glad everyone is starting to feel better. Can't wait to hear the kids' reactions to the surprise! :yay: That's so exciting.

Jenny, I know I sent you a reply on twitter already, but SO sorry about your cousin :sad2: I think it's even worse when someone is so young and it's unexpected. I hope you're still enjoying your trip as much as possible.

Angey - that's ridiculous what your company did! I'm glad you have something else lined up. I don't know how they can get by with that.

I weighed today and lost 2.8 lbs. I think most of you already know about my blog from twitter or FB, but here is the link: http://thisisit-melody.blogspot.com/

I just got some good news. Donato's called to tell me I won their essay contest for a pizza party! I get 5 Lg. hand tossed pizzas with anything I want on them and 4 two liters. I can either get delivery or use their party room! Now I just have to decide what I want to do. I wish all of you lived close! It would be a DIS/NKOTB pizza party!

Have any of you heard the rumor that Jon is quitting the group? I think they just started because he dropped off of twitter. I can't believe he deleted everything he ever posted. I understand that he felt his privacy was violated, but I think that's a bit extreme. Privacy is something you give up when you decide to become a celebrity, which I know doesn't give people the right to stalk, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I hope the rumor of him quitting nkotb is just that, a RUMOR. I'm sure it is.

Jenny, I'm sorry to hear about your cousin.

Shelby, you've had it rough with the kids being sick the past week. But I agree, its better them being sick now then at WDW. I can't believe you have kept it a secret for so long.

Melody, awesome on the weight loss:woohoo:

As for rumors of Jon quitting. I would totally be ok with it. What does he do anyways?? I would miss him a little bit but not too much.

I hope that Jon comes back to Twitter... I miss his tweets, he is so funny! I doubt he is leaving the group. He's had too much fun this time around!

Melody, my job may not be getting away with what they did. We are doing some investigating right now :)

I'm beat down today. We've traveled to New Orleans the past two weekends for baby showers (and to Baton Rouge for LSU games) and the weekend before that, we flew to Seattle! Good news is we are home for two more weekends, only have one more to travel into Louisiana for (the doctor says it's ok, so we're going to the LSU/Florida game) and then it's "stay put" until Jonas is born. Time flies when you are gaining at least a half inch and one pound per week ... I can't wait to start running and lifting weights again!

I got an offer today, totally unsolicited from a coworker of my mom's, for $250 PER TICKET for our LSU/Florida tickets ... $500 total. I'm all over it, but Jason wants to "think about it" overnight. I keep thinking "oooh, that's a WDW AP." What is there to think about??? We can still tailgate and then just watch the game outside of the stadium.

Melody - great job losing the weight!! Great news!! I giggled though because you immediately followed that by telling us about the pizzas you won. :) I'd gain back the 2.8 lbs just looking at the pizzas!! :lmao:

I have NOT heard that Jon is leaving the group, but you never know. They could very easily go on without him but it just wouldn't feel the same. Ever since that hug, he's moved up my list of fav's.

Heather - why did Jon quit Twitter in the first place? Does it have anything to do with that loser Perez Hilton? He's always been really rude towards Jon.

Angey - I still can't believe that with your job. That is unreal. I hope you guys are able to get somewhere with the investigation you're doing. :thumbsup2

We're all feeling better except Becca, she just started with it. But she just have a stuffed up nose and slightly sore throat. No big deal. The Dr called her in meds anyway so she'll be good to go!

I am VERY excited about the trip but there's one thing bothering me....I never got my diet going and I'm bummed I'm headed to Disney World at the weight I am right now. I have about 20lbs to lose. :sad1: Oh well, no one else there will know, right? :confused3

Oh well, I'm off to do some dishes, that's right....still no dishwasher. :headache:

Shelby, just think of all the walking you will be doing at WDW and that should make you feel a bit better. :thumbsup2
And remember, the food at WDW is ALL low-calorie. :wizard:
