Saturday I have to work 7-3 and then I'm planning on watching the NHL Skills Competition that I tivo-ed because I haven't seen it yet. Sunday, I'm going to my brother's for a Super Bowl party! My nephew is a big Steelers fan but I'm secretly rooting for the Cardinals since they're the underdogs

jenny - bummer you have to work but it'll be a quick day and then onto Sunday with the Super Bowl festivities!!! GO CARDS!!!!!

I'm off to get something to eat and then clean!! I also have to put dinner on, I'm making chicken noodle soup! YUMMY!! None for me though, no carbs.

WooHoo I'm glad to see a lot of us are rooting for Arizona! I'm just rooting against Pittsburgh! I can't type what dh and I call them when the kiddos aren't around.

We are just having my parents over on Sunday. We usually have my cousin and her partner and kid over but she is having surgery today so won't be able to get out. It's over now and she's doing well.

I just can't admit I'm rooting for the Cards. My nephew might throw a fit about it. Apparently he's a "die hard" Steelers fan. Last year, he rooted for the Pats and when it looked like the Giants were going to win, switched gears.

Oh yeah I have a BIL like that. His favorite? Who ever is having a great season. It drives me and *especially* my dh (who has been a Bengals fan since age 2 thru all the losing and the rare winning!) crazy.


I'd like to see him around real, die-hard Steelers fans. They'd eat him alive! They take the Steerlers VERY seriously!

My best friend is a HUGE Steelers fan and I have told her that I am cheering for them, but I am secretly hoping the Cards and our Iowa boy Kurt Warner pull it out. I love underdog victories!!! Have a good weekend everyone! I am off to Kansas in a few. I will check in while I am down there...we will have a lot of time with nothing to do!

Oh and my team doesn't even know what the Superbowl is so there is no whining from them! Wha? What? We're supposed to go a "big game"? That's the point of the season? (They think it's just to not get arrested!)

Since you asked... ...ours was last weekend and Jordan's son placed 2nd or 3rd in his group. He was happy. Of course, Jordan wasn't there...World Tour & all...!
I was talking to his wife at the PWD, and asking if she ever goes on tour. She was like "No way...it's crazy. I like my small town cocoon for me & the kids." Very down to earth.

I always get so excited when you post, because I know it is a little tid bit about something Jordan. Yay for Dante for placing in his race. It's nice to know that he has a nice, down to earth wife! Thanks for keeping us up to date!

This weekend for me:
Friday - have to take Fuzzie (our Miniature Schnauzer) in for surgery because she has a bump on her back that has gotten larger recently and the Dr. said it's best to just remove it...there's a 90% chance it's JUST a cyst and not cancerous. We're praying that's the case. Hopefully everything will go alright. We drop her off from 7-8 in the morning and pick her up after 5:30. I hate putting her through it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Not to mention it's costing over $400 That's a VIP NKOTB ticket! Oh, I'm horrible for thinking that
Saturday - I'm having my Mom, Granny, Aunt and Cousin over for games and food....sort of the girls "Superbowl" I guess
Sunday - will watch the Superbowl with Doug, but I only watch for the commercials and get a carryout from Wings, Etc. to enjoy while watching. I'm sure Doug will be rooting against the Steelers, so I probably will too. It would be nice to see an underdog team win though, so I'll root just for that reason since I HAVE to watch anyway

Are you talking about Crosby??? Oh, I have a problem with him too. I hate how stinkin' HOT he is so that it makes it impossible for me to actually hate him.

His face has the opposite effect on me. As in, I want to put my fist through the tv when I see him. Martin Brodeur also has that effect on me.
