DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous...join the party *ahem* intervention!!!

OK, I guess I finally found a place where I can speak freely of my re-obsession with NKOTB.

When I found out they were reuniting, I was excited. Not life-altering excited, but excited mind you.

I saw them talk on the Today Show, thought they looked hot.

Then I saw them perform on the Today show. Thought they looked HOT and danced well.

So, I decided to spring for 4 star VIP's at Nassau Coliseum with me and my BFF from middle school, who was equally obsessed back in the day.


Well, we went. And I saw them. Pretty close. And we screamed, and danced, and acted like 12 year olds (except for when I yelled for Donnie to take off his pants).

So, we left the show, and on the ride home discussed if we would go again.
I went online when I got home at 2:00am, and proceeded to buy the 4 Star VIP's for MSG in Oct. for us again.

Then, the next day, we realized that they are playing Mohegan Sun on my birthday weekend, so we bought those as well.

Now, bear in mind that I have 2 small children, a house and a husband. And now I am chasing NKOTB all over the tri-state area. Not to mention the cash I am dishing out for all of these VIP tix.

But, and you know if you saw them, they KILLED it! They are just as good as they were back then, and their new album is AWESOME! So I had to see them as much as I could, because, c'mon, THE NEW KIDS ARE BACK!!!

I went online when I got home at 2:00am, and proceeded to buy the 4 Star VIP's for MSG in Oct. for us again.

This is exactly what I did! While waiting in line for GA I mentioned that I'd like to come back in Nov. My friend looked at me like I was crazy. About 10 minutes into the show she asked me for the date and said she definitely wanted to get tickets.

I did what you did, when we got home at about 2am I went online and got 4 Star VIP tickets for their show in Nov, the day before my b'day!! I can't wait!!!

You're so right, they are hotter than ever and they were awesome!!

I can't believe how many tix are still avail for Houston two weeks out. Row 15 on the floor is still avail! Isn't that crazy? I won't be taking it since I'm only 5'5" and never fail, the only 6'5" person always stands in front of me, but I can't believe VIP tix are still avail, let alone floor tix. I guess Houston doesn't know what's up!

Five-star is $375 and four-star is $175 ... at least for Houston.

OMG, this is funny ... a story from the Orlando Sentinel online of Pleasure Island's last night ....

8 Trax was mobbed. The dance floor was just bump-er to bump-er. Managed to get a last special drink from my favorite bartender there -- the infamous Red, White and Blue -- and then joined the throng. Among the last songs: "Staying Alive," New Kids on the Block's "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" -- the crowd loved it!?! -- "I Will Survive."

St Paul still has tons of good seats availabale, too.

I say do the 5* VIP!!! How long have you been waiting to for this and it could be your only chance to meet them!!! Of course, I say this as I sit here debating whether I should do the same for Omaha... which would be my 3rd show! Or, should we go from Denver on 11/14 to Salt Lake City the next day and do VIP there. VIP for the last show would be pretty sweet.

HMMMMM.... decisions. Let me know what you decide angey and maybe I will able to make my decision!

I am still sitting here watching my movers pack my stuff that is supposed to be out of here today. I am bored and totally annoyed because I don't think they are going to be done today and I really need tomorrow to clean! Maybe I will go search for a picture of the day!!!!!

Oh, I can tell you my decision ... I don't think my friend and I will be doing the VIP, especially since my husband and I are leaving next week for a week in Washington.
If it wasn't for the fact I went to WDW in May without him, I would say "Well, you just paid almost as much for the Shaq golf tournament," but I told him to do that since I did take the trip without him. Dang, I should have held onto my guns!
Anyway, I can't risk the chance of Jordan, Joe or Donnie meeting me and falling madly in love with me and then have to make that decision too. Imagine if they all fell for me and I had a decision to make amongst them and my husband! I think I'll quit while I'm ahead to save so many hearts.

I am upset because I had the chance to get 5 star VIP's at Mohegan Sun, and they next day after thinking about it, I went on the buy them and they were sold out! So I got the 4 star instead. Which is probably better in the long run because I think I would pass out and/or embarass myself if I actually met them in person!

I went there a couple years ago with my boyfriend and FREAKED OUT when "The Right Stuff" came on. Not to mention it was up on the video screen. He just looked mortified and trust me, it's not easy to embarrass him It didn't help that it was followed by "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany and I proceeded to act like a 13 year old fan girl.

He just doesn't understand the love.

What about those tight-rolled jeans Donnie is sporting? Those were HOT back in the day. The tighter, the better, and when you stood up, you either bent over to push the suckers back down or mastered the push-down with your feet.
