Ahem. I am an adult. Adults don't feel the need to drive several hours to see a band. Adults don't get excited to see a boy band (man band?) on TV. Maybe I am regressing????


My sister and I are going to see them Sept 27 in Atlantic City. We saw them when we were little several times (even saw them open for Tiffany..ha). Our DHs are going with us but refuse to go to the show. They will gamble while we dance and sing like 13 year olds. I think we will have a better time than them....well unless they win a million dollars. But then again then we will have seen NKOTB and won money cause well DHs have to share with DWs.

So tomorrow is my b-day and I have the best DH in the world! My b-day, christmas, anniversary, etc present this year was the NKOTB VIP tix I purchased a couple of months ago to the Chicago concert so I was not expecting anything tomorrow and he surprised me with an early present of The NKOTB Greatest Hits CD AND the Bonus DVD with the videos!!! Some of those videos are hilarious (what were thinking about fashion back them! )

What an awesome surprise!!! Gotta love good hubbys that understand little girl dreams and memories!

I know what you are saying about the fashion. I dug out my old videos and watched some of them while I was at my parents house last week. WOW! Bad clothes and REALLY bad hair. Rat tails? Am I glad they grew out of all of that! I am buying the new Greatest Hits today. Yay, can't wait!!!

I'm seriously considering going to Boston for their meet and greet there in September. My best friend lives there, and I found an awesome price on a flight...just gotta find some money somewhere!

You HAVE to go!!! The meet and greet goes REALLY fast and you can't take pictures, but it is sooooooooo worth it. We have all been waiting 20 years for the chance, right! My sister is in Boston for 3 months for work and as luck would have it she will be in D.C. for a wedding the weekend of the meet and greet! She is seriously considering skipping the wedding!

For anyone in L.A. or NYC, there are also meet and greets confirmed on nkotb.com for you!

We had SO much fun at the MOA! I am still recovering from the sleep deprivation but I would do it again tomorrow if I had the chance! I have tix to two shows this fall, but am seriously cosidering a 3rd show 5* after going to the MOA so that I can finally get a picture taken with the guys! What to do?

Make sure you get on Facebook to see if there is an event set up for Boston and check out nkotbfans.com. You will get an idea of how early you need to arrive to get a pass for the meet and greet. With a little luck, it will be as organized as the MOA thing was. Talk about well behaved women on a mission!

It has all of that, and then the MegaMix, Stay the Same (Joe), The Right Combination (Donnie and Seiko), and Angel of Love (Jordan and Ana). Oh, and it has If You Go Away, which I don't think the original one has.

ETA...at WalMart they had the CD only for $12.88, and the CD and Greatest Hits DVD (the old one), for $13.88. I got just the CD though since I don't really need another copy of the DVD.

Ok, I finally bought the new Greatest Hits and my girls are thrilled that they can now have my old one . I bought one for my sister, too, as her bday is next week. Who wouldn't want the New Kids wrapped up in a bow as a gift?!! Too bad it isn't the real thing! I am super excited to watch the DVD tonight!

I am joining the group...was a NKOTB addict from age 12-16. When they resurfaced this Spring and a co-worker brought in the recorded Today show concert, we sat in my classroom during lunch and watched it and my 13 year old self jumped back into my body for a while!!! But so glad I;m not that teenager anymore! She wanted to marry Jordan....

But the "adult" in me did marry the man of my dreams and we are now blessed with a gorgeous and smart little girl. Can't wait to tell her about my teenage obsession (like my mom did of hers, Richard Chamberlain of Dr. Kildare??!!) and have her tilt her head to the side and say, "Who???"

You can't tell me they have got to feel a little weird at their age saying, "Hi, we're New Kids on the Block." I mean it's one thing to be like Aerosmith and the Stones, but them???? I'd feel goofy.

Did anyone who watched them on The Today Show hear Kathy Lee (ugh!) refer to them as "Old Men in the Gated Neighborhood"? That hit a nerve with me, especially since I now live in a gated neighborhood! Another reason to dislike her ... highly!

I love it, my 13-year-old niece LOVES Summertime. And my 17-year-old niece loves Tonight. She downloaded the entire Hanging Tough CD from me. YAY!

You know, I did love Joey, mostly because he was "closer to my age" and I thought I MIGHT have a chance with him back in the day. Yeah, bad, huh? I was such a nerd. hehe.

But you know who my favorite is? One of the earlier members of NKOTB, even before the self-titled album .... grrrr.
