Disembarking Tips...

Hi there!
Anyone have any getting off the ship quick tips? I mean that doggone line thru US customs when we get back is a BEAR!!! I think about it as much as think about the cruise every year! We TRY to be the last ones off but it never fails...we end up lugging our bags around for an hour before we make it back to our car. Does anyone have any exiting tips?

I usually am up towards the front of the line..when they open the doors I walk off, grab a porter and in 5 minutes we are out at the car. The first time I didn't even realize we had gone through customes until we were through it...we just walked right out. I hope this next cruise is the same way!

We never had a long wait either...I handed in the forms, and next thing we knew, we were outside.

Even in September, when we were disembarked on Friday night, things went surprisingly well...

Hope we are this lucky for our 4th...

We've always used a porter and that seems to have sped up the process for us

It took us longer to find our last piece of luggage, was put on the wrong rack, than it did to clear customs. The customs officer just asked if we were US citizens, & waved us through. No more than 5 mintues we were in the parking lot waiting for the Budget shuttle. Was your "BEAR" experience with DCL?? I have never heard anyone complain about disembarking customs on DCL.

We completed our 3 day cruise today. We had 8 bags. The porter loaded them on the dolly.He said follow me and we walked in between the 2 lines and were out in 5 minutes.Spend about 8 minutes in waiting room before proceeding to "luggage room"
