I’m quite pleased to be situated on Deck 2 of the Fantasy for my upcoming first cruise for a variety of reasons. But it’s occurred to me that it should be really easy on the last day to head up for breakfast, then pop by our cabin and pick up our bags on the way out, versus leaving everything for the porters to handle. Is that reasonable? Where do we actually leave the ship anyway, through the same place in the atrium we enter, or down on the tendering bays?

We fly out the same afternoon, and while we should have plenty of time, not having to Scrooge McDuck our way through a sea of unclaimed luggage should be a natural choice... Thoughts?

You will exit in the main atrium where you came in on the last day. If you have first breakfast, you shouldn't have a problem leaving your carry-ons in your room until afterwards and then collect them before you leave the ship.

You will board and debark the ship on deck three. They do ask that you clear your cabin by 8 AM, so if you have second breakfast, that creates a little bit of an issue with luggage. You can take it with you but you'll need to leave it outside the restaurant. The other option on the last morning is to go up to the buffet area, Cabanas, and eat there and then return to your cabin to pick up your luggage. It really isn't an issue to set it out the night before. The luggage all is well organized, and you'll be given color-coded character tags the night before to attach. You just go to your section of the luggage hall to pick up your bags.
