Disembarking from bus

I think we all agree that seperating a child from the rest of the family when exiting is never courteous. My DH and I usually hold hands at when exiting WDW buses just to avoid our family being seperated. -- Suzanne

I regularly take public transportation... some days, it's more polite than others. But the general rule seems to be - sitting or standing, bus or train - nearest to the door clears first. Standing doesn't necessarily mean that you get to exit before seated people who are sitting closer to the door that you are standing.

There are approximately 36,756,666 Californians. It is necessary (or sensible) to paint them with such a broad brush and make such a generalization? I hardly think that one person represents 36+ million people, just as this website does not represent the greater US population.

I put those sitting by accident. I believe it should be those standing.

I feel differently - however I would never get my knickers in a knot over it...

Standers get off first. They have been standing the whole time, and I have been sitting - they can have the courtesay of disembarking first.

Now, if there is a gap in the "standers" line, certainly a sitter can get up and into the standing line (I do not expect anyone to wait if I am being slow) - just no pushing in front of standers or expecting them to "let you in" because you happen to be seated in front of them

I would say 'something else' I say that you exit however it works. Normally if I'm standing, I will let those seated 'in front' of me go. So those standing up front would leave, then those seated in front, then move backwards. And if it unloads front and back, you do the same thing
