Hi there
We are going to book Discovery Cove for June 16th 2011 and are hoping the Grand Barrier Reef will be open. We are also interested in doing the SeaVenture experience. My husband are both suffer slightly from asthma and wondered if this would stop us from doing this.

Thanks in advance for any info given.

I don't think so how well controlled is your asthma? Having an asthma attack under water wouldn't be that big a deal since they can get you up pretty quick. Unlike diving where you are down pretty deep and have to come to the surface in stages.

Our asthma is well controlled so hopefully we won't have any problem. We will not be there till the middle of June but will post how we get on.

Opening date is supposed to be June 10th - you should be fine!

I wish they would post the date and let us sign up for the new adventure. I'm really keen to give it a go!

I emailed Discovery Cove because we are scheduled for June 7th. The lady that emailed me back, told me that they didn't have a definite opening day for the Grand Reef. I'm hoping that they get it opened before we're there. I already have every day of the trip planned out and I don't have any room to move things around. I'd have room if my DH wasn't such a Star Wars fan, but I'm not going to mess up his chance to see Star Wars weekend.
