We are going to WDW Dec4th to the 14th and I'd love to do things "other" than Disney. Anyone ever been to Discovery Cove? I have 3 sons age 10, 6.5 and 4, I realize that the 4 year old won't be able to swim with the dolphins but what about the other activities? Could he participate?
Thanks for any input.

I haven't been yet, but you will be able to get a better response and get much more info under the "Univeral Studios Forum", click "Seaword/Discovery Cove".

There's an FAQ thread and plenty of people sharing their experiences there. I hear you will not be dissappointed - enjoy your trip :D

We did Discovery Cove 2 years ago with our daughters who were 10 and 12 at the time. They both enjoyed the experience, although we all agreed that we wouldn't spend the money to do it again. The time you actually spend with the dolphins in the water is quite short, maybe 20-30 minutes, and you are in a group of about 8. They did take you out in some deeper water, and a younger child in our group was very uncomfortable because she could only stand on her tiptoes. There are other things to do, feed birds, snorkel, and feed the rays. The place itself is beautiful and since they only take a limited number of reservations, it is not crowded. However, because of the cost, my personal opinion would be to wait until your children are a little older. Pam::MickeyMo
