Hi guys, thanks so much for all of the well wishes for Tim- his knee was KILLING him at Epcot this morning so we broke down and got an ECV for him (we're just using it at the park, didn't want to do it on the bus for many reasons : ) It definitely isn't cheap and wasn't in the budget but will be worth it for a few days so he can join in on the fun with us!
Today couldn't have been better weather wise, a wonderful breeze and overcast skies with no rain meant NO heat and NO sweating in the World Showcase today= HEAVEN! It was wonderful!
Can't wait to write this TR, so many fun things to share, new things we have experienced and funny videos to share.
Tonight is a sad one for us because Diane, Brian, Matthew and Eric move to the Boardwalk and we will miss hanging out with them daily- it has been such fun having a fun Dis family to hang out with at the parks and in our resort - we will miss them terribly but we'll meet up for sure and have a meal planned together on their last day here - gotta love how Disney dining online comes in handy changing dining plans while you are here.
Well, better get to bed - had a late night hanging out with Diane and the family!
Can't believe we still have SEVEN more days here in Disney - this trip has surely been amazing!!!!

I can only imagine how much fun you have had with Diane and her family! DIS families are the best!
I'm relieved to hear that Tim got the ECV, I don't blame him for not wanting to mess with it on the buses though.

Hi Tim and Lesley! I'm glad you're having a fun trip. I'm also glad you like my "home" SSR. We like the quiet, but I do want to try another resort some time. I hope Tim's knee feels better with rest. It really stinks. my DH had the same surgery in Oct, and he still feels it when he runs or something. He expected to be 100% in 2 months - not happening. I hope you'll heal without more surgery.

Wow... it feels like you guys have been gone for an eternity, and you still have a full week to go. That is amazing!

I can't believe Tim made it this long without help.... so glad you finally broke down and got some assistance for him. I'm sure his knee thanks you both (as do the folks riding the buses)

I'll join in with everyone else in saying that I can't wait to see all of the pictures and videos from this trip, too! It is going to take you until NEXT SUMMER to get this TR done!!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your time there. But, how could you not!
So sorry about Tim's knee. It's no fun to be on vacation and be in pain. I know those wheelchairs are expensive. Hopefully a few days of him not walking on it will help. Someone said ICE it. Yes, ICE does wonders, and Motrin for the swelling. Good luck.

So glad your long awaited return to WDW is going so well...well, except for Tim's knee! I hope all the rest that knee is getting with the ECV is helping out!!

I'm glad you are having fun at SSR! I think every DVC resort has good points, and they are all sooo different. I just LOVE "trying them all on" to see how they fit! Every time I stay somewhere new, I have a completely new experience- it's great!

Hey guys! Thanks for all of your awesome posts. The 4th of July crowds have officially arrived, YIKES!!! I've NEVER seen crowds like we saw at Hollywood Studios today - wait til' you see the pics I took- you won't believe it. So based on that we decided to skip parks today and tomorrow - just not worth it. We'll enjoy some pool and resort time instead and hope they go away on the 5th or at least sleep in so we can enjoy the parks our last 3 days here. We've gotten to do and see so very much that I can't complain - it has truly been amazing!

Sooze, I agree, SSR is really nice, that's the beauty of DVC, all of the resorts are a new vacation unto themselves!

I agree too, we've stayed at 3 DVC resorts so far and they are all so different. But I've loved each one!

When we went about 5 years ago during that time period, we did a water park on the 4th and 'Ohana (with ressies) for dinner. We were late for our ressie b/c we had trouble getting past the gates since the MK was closed to new entries and they were turning people away! There wasn't even parking at the Poly and they did comp valet since we had a ressie. We were able to see and hear the fireworks during dinner. And the waterpark was not mad crowded.

Glad to read your updates. So sorry about Tim's knee!! Maybe taking a few days away from the parks will help. You cannot wait to write your TR & I cannot wait to read it!! I remember sitting on my deck last summer reading your TR from last year. Enjoy the rest of your time there!!
