So Glad you are having a great time. Thanks for the info about the kids activities. That was what I was most interested in. Sounds like you could just stay at the resort and have so much fun without ever entering a park!

Hi Lesley ~ I don't think I've ever responded to any of your posts/trip reports, but I am a devoted reader. I'm pretty sure I saw you on the bus coming home from Magic Kingdom 6/27 around 11:15 or 11:30. I stayed at AKL 6/19-6/28 and I knew you'd be there so I was always kinda on the look out for you guys, but I was too shy to say anything. It was almost like being among super stars, lol. I cannot wait to read your trip report for this trip...

I have a feeling you are going to be disappointed in SSR. We just got back from a stay at OKW (layout very similiar to SSR), and like you we REALLY love AKL and VWL. Our main disappointments were the MULTIPLE bus stops, no indoor corridors, and our location was SO FAR from the main pool, restaurants, etc. Here's some pixie dust hoping you get a good location at SSR!!!

Well, you are probably right, we stayed at SSR with the last of our developer points a few weeks ago. It's sure not AK! When we left for the Beach Club I was a little sad thinking we might never stay there again, but we have always had really good locations at SSR. So I hope they experience the same magic!
Our last stay at OKW was right by the general store so we loved it too!
Like they say, it's all about location.

Your review of AKL has me catching a MAJOR case of RESORTITIS!!!!!! Sounds SO wonderful!!! I am sure SSR may not live up to your AKL experience, but I am hoping you have a great time there nevertheless!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get home!

It took Matt and I three trips to finally fall in love with SSR. I agree that it is VAST, and multiple bus stops and long, outdoor walks seem overwhelming.. at first. But we ended up really falling in love with just those things!! Hope you guys end up enjoying it and appreciating its differences from AKL!!

Can't believe you still have tons of time left to enjoy it!!

Sooze, I agree, SSR is really nice, that's the beauty of DVC, all of the resorts are a new vacation unto themselves!

I just wish Lesley would stop in and tell us how they are doing!

We're doing well, got a good location here and are enjoying sleeping in and pool time. Things here are GREAT, thanks for thinking of us! Sure do miss AKL but SSR is growing on me, kids LOVE the pools, I love the transportation! Enjoying being at the same resort with Diane and her family - great times!
Alright, time to get some Disney sleep, Lauren's BBB day and dinner at 1900 Park Fare tomorrow. Tim's knee is KILLING him and he's really having a hard time getting around so we're taking it slow.

So glad that you are enjoying SSR. It is so close to DTD, I think that would be great with your dining plan. Sorry to hear Tim's knee is giving him problems. Disney can really test your endurance. However with a trip as long as yours; you need to take some days slow. Have fun at 1900 Park Fare and BBB.

So glad you are having a great time. So sorry to hear about Tim's knee. Maybe you need to rent a wheelchair for him if it gets really bad? Lots of ice on it while the kids enjoy the pool and at the end of the day.
