Discover the Magic Tour advice

Ok fellow DIS board members. I need a little advice. My family and I DW, DS (7) and DD (5) would like to take this tour, but are unsure as to which day to book this trip? We will be there on a Mon, Tues, and a Wed, 7/23- 7/25. We are staying on property so we have EE both Mon, and Tues. So I guess the question is do we book this on day two or do we do it on our last day in the parks? Also one other question, I know you are not gaurenteed to meet characters, but do you ride any rides during the hunt? Any advice would be great.

You may want to call to verify that this tour is being offered during your dates. I know they currently are not offering it because it needs to be reworked around the new Pirates Lair.

I noticed that, I am hoping it is up and running by then. I mean it should be Pirates Lair has been open for a few weeks already. I can't imagine it would be change.

The tour is usually at 10 am if I remember correctly. I don't really think it makes a difference which day you do it because EE will be well over by then and the parks will be getting more crowded. It may be a nice way to end your trip by doing it on your last day. . .

The only attractions we went on during the tour was the Carousel, raft to TSI and rode the DLRR to Toontown. Our character interaction wasn't the greatest, but we still enjoyed the tour.

We want to do it as well, but I heard that it is only going to be offered on the weekends. If you hear differently or when it will be offered again, let us know. Thanks!

I did as DangerMouse suggested today and called DL. The CM said they have nothing listed on this tour all the way until at least September, but that does not mean that they will not start it up again at anytime. After reading about this tour on the board I hope they start it soon. I really think my kids would love it. Thanks DangerMouse for the input.

on the site it says returning in summer of 2007 so lets hope it gets back soon

We did the tour on our last full day of our trip and it was a perfect way to end our wonderful trip. I'd say save it for Wednesday. We met a quite few characters and had such wonderful interaction with them. The characters we met were Peter Pan & Wendy, Snow White, Mary Poppins & the Penguin, Woody & Jessie and a surprise character I won't mention the name of. We got to ride the carousel, the raft to Tom Sawyer's Island and the train. We had such wonderful tour guides and an overall exciting time on the tour that our kids wanted to do it again the following day.

I called today and it's not going to be running all of July. She said they were expecting it to be back by now so to call in a few days.

We're there until 6th August so there's a glimmer of hope!
