The 7 for 4 deal comes up available for Easter week. I know those dates are excluded in all of the literature, but two different people I work with were able to book it anyways.
Don't get your hopes up too high. We have gone every year at Easter for the last 15 years and this is only the second time there has been any kind of discount. The time previous to this 4/3 deal was a room only discount --I believe in 1999(could be wrong on that).
We were able to book the 4/3 deal over Easter this year even though all the printed info excludes those dates. Was able to book online and by phone call.
That being said.....we absolutely love going at Easter even though the prices are generally higher as are the crowds. When you live where it is either brown, white or gray 8 months of the year...it seems that Easter spring break brings just what the Dr. ordered---sunshine, warm temps and beautiful GREEN landscaping as only Disney can do.
Yup, the 4/3 deal has been available since the day the deal was first released. I didn't call at first because I noticed the Easter blackout. But then I looked here on the Dis and saw everyone booking it for Easter, so I called and sure enough it was allowed!
I think it is important to remember that you can not really judge what the discounts may be in a year or 2 based on this year alone. This year is a very trying year for a lot of buisnesses due to the economy. We are seeing disney offer discounts that we don't always see. The 4/3 deal is not offered every year, offering free dining last year in Nov and Dec was unheard of before. If things turn around for the economy( and I hope they do), the discounts will go back to more "normal" .
Agree - depending on how the economy continues, you'll see more offers like this 4/3 for the rest of the year. And continue to keep an eye on blackout dates as they may not be blacked out after all. Same goes for end dates...
On this past Dec, the Visa FD promo was to be good until Dec. 20th. It was actually good for checkins as late as Dec. 23rd for up to 14 days after. Xmas in Disney with free dining... yup. Will it happen this xmas? Who knows...
