Discounts in early December?

Do they ever run the free dining program in early December? Don't want to get my hopes up.

Last year was the first year for this version of the dining plan.

The only free offer for it was fall, and it's being offered for fall again this year.

Sorry, but you shouldn't get your hopes up for Dec.

I did read that last year there was a discount on the room package though, but I don't have details.

We're going mid-Dec., so we're hoping for some kind of discount too.

In December of 2004, we got a room only code. We got POFQ for $69/night I believe. I think there was a room only code last year. Check mousesavers to see the histroy of codes. We are considering a trip this Dec. I really hope they give out codes.

Last year there was a room code. It was released the last week of September. It covered last week of October to mid December. For us it saved $425 at POR for 2 adults and DS2.5 for 7 nights. Hope this helps!

Wow- what a deal! Hopefully they will offer rates that low again for the 1st week in December.

Do you know if the discount was for all resorts ? We are arriving 12-14 for 7 days and a discount would be a bonus Christmas present?

How does it work with a code? Do you wait to make reservations until you get a code? Or do you make the reservations, and then call and add a code?

I am new to this, but any help at all is appreciated.

Make the reservation now and you can apply the code when/if it's released. (but you have to do it. Disney won't automatically apply it. They're nice, but not that nice.

They really only offered the free dining in late Aug and full month of Sept because there is more vacancy then with hurricane season and kids back in school. If there is a chance to fill up the resorts without offering free dining, you know that's what is going to happen. Dec has Christmas parties, decor and Candlelight Processional. Plus the Pop Warner stuff.

We are usually paid in full by September, so how would that work also? Would they just credit your account? Thanks for all your help.

It depends on what type of code is offered. I think I read that both room only & package codes were offered last year.

In 2004 they applied the credit to our room charges. In 2005 they applied the credit to our credit card.

We are getting married on Dec. 11, 2006... we are arriving on 12/6 and leaving around the 17th... anyone know if there will be any discounts then? We are thinking of staying at the Grand Floridian... thanks.
