We arrive late the night before our flight and I really want to stay at the Hyatt right there(not even bother waiting for a shuttle to another close hotel). Any one gotten a good discount somewhere??? thanks in advance.

I have gotten the Hyatt in MCO for $65 a night using "Name Your Own Price" on Priceline. I tried for another airport area hotel for my stay starting 6/14. I got 2 rooms at the Marriott for a total for $104 (not per room). I bid $43 and it was accepted. I think rack rate for the Hyatt is about $250. It may be well worth it to wait 10 minutes for a shuttle, in case you would get the Marriott.

Hyatt MCO has been coming up lately on priceline for bids of $43! This is for the 3 1/2 star zone at Orlando Airport. So start there. Be patient if its a Sat. or Friday. They may only be released the week before.

You may also get Marriot MCO. But they are nice also.

I just got it off of hotwire for $75.00 a night:banana:. More than priceline but with hotwire, the ammenities are listed and I was pretty sure of it being the Hyatt:goodvibes. I had been waiting a few months for it to come up.

If you want me to post more info (ie. ammenities, etc) I can. :wizard:

I would love more info. What is the max per room? Do they have shuttle to the parks? I would love to get a hotel like that for even $75 a night!

It would be for a Wednesday night.... The kids will have gone to school all day, then fly out of Pittsburgh at 7pm, so I just want to bed as quick as possible. Willing to pay the $200 a night(AAA rate) but would love to pay less.... thanks for the pointers.

This place is best if you are arriving late in the evening, or departing early in the morning, and which to spend a night *in* the airport. It would not be a good choice to use as a home base for visiting the parks.

This is how I got the Hyatt Orlando Airport (4*) on hotwire. There are two 4* hotels at the airport that share the same ammenities (airport shuttle, restaurant, fitness centre, business centre, pool, high speed internet).

The way to tell them apart is when you click on the 4* hotel listed, the next page with offer some additional clues. For the Hyatt you will see something like "rated 4.5 out of 5 on trip advisor based on 140+ reviews. When I went to trip advisor, the other 4* hotel only had 50 reviews and the Hyatt had 150. This was what I used to determine it was the Hyatt.;)

Good luck!:thumbsup2

I got the Marriott for our upcoming stay. Have you stayed there? Is it nice? I only paid $104 total for two rooms, and we aren't going to be there long.

I've stayed at the Marriott. A nice property, close by, shuttle. Rooms felt "business-traveler" more than "family" but in a good way, not a bad way.

We stayed at the Marriott MCO last fall with a Priceline bid. Agreed with Brian that itis a business hotel. Nice and definately worth the price. What I didn't care for was if you have a car, parking is $12.00 per night.

I also have used the strategy that Bea used and received the Hyatt numerous times...it is so nice not having to drag yourself and family anywhere that late at night.

I've gotten the Hyatt this way too. Esp great if your late arriving flight gets delayed due to t storms like ours did last Sept. It's so nice to just walk to your room. :lovestruc

We prefer to go thru Hotwire for 2 reasons:
1. We can see that it's available and being offered that night or not with 99.9% confidence. With PL it's kind of a shot in the dark and hope you get it.

2. We are a family of 4. PL only guarantees that the hotel will provide bedding arrangement for 2. You can ask the hotel for 2 dbls but they don't have to give it to you. HW allows us to search for 2 adults, 2 kids so I know the room will be a good fit for our family.

I've been waiting to get the Hyatt precruise in late Oct. So far I've haven't seen it available later than Oct 4 when I plug in various dates.

If you never see it on HW, you can also buy a "Stay Certificate" from Hyatt which is still much cheaper than reg price or AAA. You basically prepay a 1 nt stay and they FedEx the cert to you.

Hyatt MCO is on the 'Choice' level so it's $135 + $6 s/h. This will cover all taxes; just hand them the slip when you check in. They are non-refundable so be sure they have availability for your stay for a stay cert. It's not the same availability as reg price so you have to call to make sure.

Good luck!:thumbsup2

Can anyone tell me the other 4* hotel on Hotwire it has only 50 reviews and the Hyatt had 150. I'm curious as the Hyatt is not coming up for my dates.

Back from the Marriott. It really was a business hotel. It was good enough for a 9 hour stay. The bathroom wasn't nearly as big as the one at the Hyatt. Since there were 5 of us, I booked 2 rooms, but I called a few days before our stay to request double beds. Wasn't any problem at all. I did the same when I won a Priceline bid for the Hyatt.
We didn't have to pay the $8 self-park fee as the gate was open when we left. :confused3

I got it for $45 :) But the key as you said is to be prepared to take another hotel if that's what you get.

This is what I got off of the site betterbidding.com

4* Renaissance Airport (previously 3.5*)
Amenities: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business
(VP also showing Smoke Free but hotel product not currently)
(same as Hyatt)
As one of the previous posts stated, when you click on the continue button on the hotel listed as 4* I believe this one is the one listed by tripadvisor with the 40+ reviews...not the 150+ reviews. That one is the Hyatt! I'm looking for Nov 1st and Nov. 6th for my sister.

Hope this helps someone :)

The other 4* is the Renaissance. Be sure to check on TA to double check that the #s match. No guarantee as * ratings can change. (Hyatt MCO used to be a 3.5* a couple years ago.)
