Discounts During Pop Warner

We were there last year at that time, part of the week after Thanksgiving, including the Saturday of the parade and when Pop Warned was there. I am sure we had a room only discount and then later got a pin code that dropped the price more. Maybe I am confused.

Also, Pop Warner doesn't make a big crowd difference in the parks, but maybe if you are straying at the same resort, you would notice.

Really? I would swear the OP asked about discounts in general.

If the question is "Has Disney completely blocked out Pop Warner week for discounts?" then I answered that question. Obviously if they offered me 40% off all resort categories (and I have never gotten a pin before), discounts were out there.

I specifically said in my post the we were talking about general public discounts, not pin codes. Not even sure why you quoted that.

Also, there had never been a general public WDW discount, at least since 2005, that included 40% off for all resort categories - that used to be the offer for deluxe resorts, but there hasn't even been 40% off general public WDW discount for deluxe resorts in the last 2 years.

Pop Warner week has been blacked out for general public discounts for the last 3 years.

I like to go there at that time of year also. We've gotten free dinng in the past by checking in before the Pop Warner/taping blackout began. This year since free dining looks less likely, I called to ask about discounts for that period and the castmember suggested using a AAA discount. She said you can request that from WDW Travel, don't need to book through AAA if it's just for a room discount. If you want a room and ticket package discount she said that needs to go through AAA. So this may be a way to save a little money if you're a member.

I think they will still have October - December free dining discounts. Free dining allows them to fill the resorts and parks during historically low crowd weeks, and even though those slow weeks aren't as slow as they used to be, they will still want to keep up their occupancy rates.

The bounce back dates for December are
Nov 30 - Dec 4 th
Dec 15 - Dec 19th

Any idea what the bounce back offer is? We check in on December 1st and I'll be there in early October with my BFF so I could rebook w/ the bounce back if needed.

Last December we went during Pop Warner week. We arrived the Thursday before Pop Warner week and got FD. We later traded that for a Room Only Discount (30% on Poly) because that saved us more money.

I am going on the Tuesday during Pop Warner this year, but I'm hopeful the Room Only Discount will be available to the general public.

The people who check into resorts in October will probably receive a different bounce back than the current one, so you most likely won't get one for December 2013. Last year's October resort guests were offered free dining for select dates in Aug and Sept 2013. (I don't know the exact dates, but it is listed somewhere around here. ) But the general public discounts for December 2013, if there are any, should be released in July or August, well before you check into your resort in October.
