Just curious to the rational of why some nights aren't discounted. Do they expect bigger crowds or more sales? We did one last year on DVC discount, but the date we want this year isn't available with the discount. It's only $4 a ticket difference so it's not a big deal. Curiosity is all.

Yes, they expect larger crowds on nights which are not discounted. Several nights have already sold out this year.

I haven't seen any sold out yet as we are purchasing ours today. None of the dates show unavailable on the website....and don't they sell the same amount for each night?

Sorry....meant to say that the Halloween parties are selling out. I'm sure some of the Christmas Parties will, too. But not weeks in advance. Most of the time it's just a day or two out that specific dates will sell-out. (Tonight's MNSSHP is sold out.)

In theory they would have the same number of tickets available for each night. The logic is pretty simple. On days with the highest (historical) demand, they stick with full price and hope to sell out. Days which typically have smaller crowds will offer a discount. If they happen to sell-out a discounted night...so be it.

Generally speaking, the mid-week dates are most likely to be discounted while the weekends are full price.

Someday we'll have to get down there for the Halloween one, but it's easier for us to take a 3 day weekend in Dec easier than Oct.. We did the MVMCP last year and the kids were so happy. Doing it again this year, got 2 SV BLT studios and free airfare through my dad's CC miles.
