Answering a few of the questions.

It appears that it will be in the Mickey Monitor. So you have to be a current Passholder to get the new/current issue.

If you are a Passholder and have not received the MM with the card, there is a procedure in place. There is a special form available at Guest Relations Offices (but not ticket windows, since they don't have "normal" printers) to send in to get the MM and card. The AP or PAP will then be sold at full price. The purchaser then comes back with the receipt and the card by July 31st and gets a 10% refund. (And there is also a procedure in place if they cannot return by that date.)

Since a MYW ticket can be upgraded to an AP or PAP at the discounted rate, the regular "Upgrade to AP" rules apply, including bridging prices if the original tickets were purchased at a discount.


This does apply to DVC discounted APs also, but the DVC Mmeber must have their Membership Card with them as certain data from that must go into the system.

After several email communications over the last 3 weeks with Disney it appears that as I live in the UK and do not get the Mickey Monitor there is nothing in place whereby they can send me the May issue with the pass along savings cards in it. We are due to visit Florida in 8 days time, I allready have an annual pass issued last Nov and as my husband and daughter do not have any passes for this visit I was wanting to puchase 2 additional annual passes for both of them and get the 10% discount.
You have said in your post that there is a procedure in place for those that have not received the savings cards to fill in a special form. As you work at Disney guest services/tickets Do you know if I would be able to pay the full purchase price and if they would send the MM with savings cards to be delivered to the Beach Club where we will be staying for 3 weeks? I would then be able to return during our visit and get the 10% refunded.

I would expect that this probably would not work either. I don't know if the restriction is arbitrary on the part of Disney or not, but sometimes promotions such as these have legal restrictions as well. It is possible that they cannot send the gift cards to residents outside the U.S. for legal reasons.

Just a heads up you need to provide your 1st name to whoever you give the discount cards out to. It appears that when you use the discount card Disney asks you what the person's first name is. Only the 1st letter is on the discount card. If you don't know the person's first name they won't give you the 10% off.

Huh, that's interesting. That could be a problem for a lot of people.

I'm going to make sure the people I sent cards to have the first name.

Can anyone verify that the first name is needed? I have mailed out three of my cards and I don't know if the people who have them know my name. That would be awful if they weren't allowed to use the card!
