Discounted Annual Passes - Information and Official Exchange Thread

Just wondering, Seeing as there are so many posts here, has anyone actually had anyone ask them for these?

Like I said just curious.

I asked for one; received it in the mail yesterday! DW & I will use it to purchase AP's when we arrive on June 14!

Four passes here! PM me with your name and address if you need one and I'll send it right out.

I still have a couple of these if anyone is in need. You can send me a PM here and I can drop it in the mail for you tomorrow.

Just got back last night. Good news.

I used a pass along card mailed to me by someone on this board. Short version - I got full credit for my UTC tickets, applied DVC rate & used pass along discount resulting in a $102.83 CASH back!

I did this the afternoon of day 2 at Epcot. First I tried to do it a the ticket window/ Vacation Planner. They could not complete the transaction because of the credit & sent me to Guest Relations with the Bridge ticket they had already issued. There I had no problem s. I was a little surprised to get $ back.

One note: at the ticket window/ Vacation Planner, they wanted to know the first name of the Pass Along Card supplier. I could not remember her name (I said Katey or Kathy , I knew it was a K) . I told them she was a friend of my mom's who was out of town. They said in order to give proper credit to the referrer they needed her first name. I thought there was a number on the card to identify them.

So get your referral's first name!

I can't understand why they need this information at the time of purchase. They KNOW the names...the card has a code on it that links to the referrer, and the referrer's first initial and last name.

Yet another speed bump...

They said there were several K. Last Name w/ APs. I asked abouth the code# & didn't receive an good answer. I almost felt like they were trying to bluff me.

Because the CM was new & had never done such a transcation she had to call a supervisor . There were 3 people in the box.

Actually, the CM was telling the truth about multiple people with the same first initial and last name who have annual passes. I'm the one Melani got the pass from and I have a cousin with the same first initial and last name as me who also has the annual pass and would have gotten these cards.

Still, I don't know how knowing my name would have clarified that necessarily because I also know at least two other people in just my hometown area who have my exact first and last name... although I don't know if they are annual passholders, too. Relying on just the name to get the gift card to the right person seems to be inefficient. There must be a number code on the cards to indicate which annual passholder they came from.

edit: there is even LESS chance that they'll get my husband's gift cards right if they are relying on names given when the cards are used since his last name is SMITH!!! There are thousands of men in the US with his same name...

Which UTC ticket did you have that resulted in cash back?

OK....I tried reading through pages, but didnt find what i'm looking for, so I hope someone knows!

I have my passholder savings card that I want to give to my brother for use. he isnt going down until later this year, but a friend of mine is going this month.

Can I give the savings card to my friend to use at the gate to purchase an annual pass when he goes down this month, and then have my brother activate it at a later date this year?

Any help is hugely appreciated!

No. The savings card can be used only for an active pass, not a voucher. And it cannot be bought for another person; that person must be present with ID.

Of course, your friend can use it for himself to buy his own pass!

OK, I might be missing something, but if I have my friend purchase his, can't he purchase another one also w/o the person present and then that person registers when he gets there? I have 2 people using them, just different dates....

No they require photo IDs when people purchase the APs on site.

Online you can order as many vouchers as you want but in person you have to be there. And then once you get there with the voucher you would need an ID to activate it.
