Is there any way to save any money on these passes?

Thanks ahead for your response!:D

YES! YES! YES!

Of course, the easiest is to purchase them in advance at your local AAA office.

But here's the biggest upcoming discount of them all!

Universal is once again partnering this Summer with the Florida Lottery. There will be a Universal Orlando-themed Florida Lottery game.

Anyone bringing their Universal Orlando Florida lottery ticket to any of the pass sales booths in the front of either park may use it as a coupon to purchase a 2-day 2-park pass for just $48 + tax. Yep! You heard right, it's basically buy one day, get the second day free.

There will be restrictions (i.e. the 2nd day will expire within a certain number of days of the 1st days use). But it will certainly be the best lottery investment ever!

But will this be for Florida residence only??
When will these lotto tickets start to come out?

Thanks
Joe

I'm interested in the question about whether you have to be a Florida resident and when this will start also--I'd also like to know if this pass will allow park-hopping--we only have one day to spend at Universal and I'd love to see a little of each park but can't bring myself to buy the extra day for 6 people just to be able to hop.

You cannot park hop. I would like to know if you can use both days at IOA or does it only allow for 1 day at each park. Anyone???

The Florida Lottery promotion ticket WILL allow for 2-days of park-to-park (sorry, Universal doesn't use the term "hopping" since Disney copyrighted it) access - so yes, you can go between parks on each day.

Also, it will be open for ALL guests, not just Florida residents.

i also would like to know how long this is good for or when it starts. i will be there mid june and this would be an awesome savings!

Any more info (press release, anouncement etc.) anyone has on this would help a lot..

Only have about a week before i need to order tickets online if i am going to do it but this is a much better deal....

Did a search on the net for any possible info on this and it came back only with last years promotion... apparently that one got you a two-day pass for $60 (they were $85 retail back then though..) and it sounds like they got more losing tickets redeemed than they were anticipating...

I highly doubt they would do a sweeter deal (2 for 1) if last years less enticing deal got more bites than they were expecting but you never know...

thanks

This is by far the best deal out there if you meet the requirements... (luckily the family is from FL)

I think those from Georgia and Alabama can get in on this too...

From May 1 through June 30, 2001, Florida Lottery players residing in Florida, Georgia and Alabama may present a non-winning FAME, FORTUNE & ADVENTURE Scratch-Off ticket at Universal Orlando® on-site ticket outlets.

Does anyone know what Universal needs as proof of FL residency? My brother is 11 and sis 14 both live in FL but they don't exactly have licenses or any other ID. Also, my dad and I have the same name (he lives in FL, I do not) so all I need is some sort of ID method that doesn't require a picture (cheating, i know but anything for a deal). I think Disney let you use a piece of mail (maybe specifically a bill) as proof w/ a license...

thanks for the info on this great deal...

It does note that they need VALID ID, which usually implies a Drivers license or a State ID.

I am curious as to whether these can be used for children. I tried the number listed but it just rang.

I called today and was told that yesterday it was not showing as a park hopper pass but that today it is. Apparently they changed their minds because the lottery web site said no park to park access yesterday. Good news!

The web site above still says it IS NOT park to park !

Not to worry. The fla. lotto website doesn't update as frequently as they need to. The tickets DO allow park hopping. Someone changed their minds.

This is great news!! Finally, I live in a state that gets a benefit of some sort!
:)

I can't believe it. They offer a 2 day pass for UN/IOA for $48.00 and I just bought my tickets off ticketmania. If that don't beat all. I am soooo mad with myself. aahh!!

Anyone want to buy 3 adult/1 child 2 day park passes for UN/IOA?......LOL!

Man, I'm so mad at myself over this. I thought I was doing really good getting my tickets ahead of time and at a somewhat discounted rate & then this shows up. aahh!

Talked to a Universal representative who sounded like she knew what she was talking about..

As long as children are with a qualifying resident (Florida, Georgia or Alabama) then they can use this deal as well. While she did not know for sure, I would bring one lottery ticket for each person (this req. is actually on the website).

Also, as far as ID goes, you can either use a FL, GA or AL drivers license or a utility bill from either state with your name on it and some other form of ID (ie another state's license)

Hopefully, this operator was correct as this should allow many more people to use this deal... under $200 for 2 days for 4 people is the cheapest I have seen tickets in a while. plus i guess you get a shot at winning some $$$$ too- a win-win situation!!

They are now showing commercials for this on TV and in small print towards the end of the commercial, it says no park to park access. So...I take it that it means you can't park hop.
