Discount Code for National???

Anyone know any good discount codes for National Car rental for Full size, or more preferably for a Premium car rental???

if you go to www.nationalcar.com

they sometimes have specials to go and other promotions along the left side of the web site before you even start to make reservations

if you are a disney club member they should have sent some national information in the start up package....but they also have the "from our partners" listed on the side at the disney club web site

I am not a DC member. I could purchse the card for $30.00 if you think it is worth it for whatever discount that I may get for having it for the car rental?

National has some new discount rates today (I check daily). A full size is now $168 per week (with smaller cars being slightly less). If you're staying on property you can add 6700083 as a discount code and get an extra 10% off. I know there are other discounts with EA membership. Good luck! I too passed on the Disney Club because of the resort discount and I will most likely join EA. If you reserve and the rate goes down you can change to the lower one.

so the 30$ spent on the disney club is more than made up...for in your first discount....if it stays at 20%

might be worth a shot...right now the disney club discount seems even better that the Emerald club discount which right now for the same thing is 181.50$

even with the quotes i just posted for you.....it may change right up until the day you leave

also with the disney club you can get the fee waived on the Emerald Club membership....

with Emerald Club if you reserve at least an intermediate ....you get to choose what ever is on the aisle when you rent and skip the counter all together.....what happens is they pre approve you and have all your details on file .....eg licence, credit card info, things you decline on something called a "master rental agreement".....

by the way, side step ( a new tool found on US air website and integrated into IE for now ) came back with National having the Best per diem rate for the "rental agencies" it searches for that time span

Thank You for the time that you spending here with me. How does everything work out for a Premium Car. I need to do premium for luggage space. I have my wife, two kids, and mother-in-law with me.

I am even wondering if I should check out the other rental places as well. I have used National the last three years in a row, but last year I only paid $244.27 for Premium in the same time frame.

I just used Gaile Haydens product code NCRWEB and Emerald Code 5007125 to book a full sized car. Here's the breakdown.

Base Rate = 158.99
less entertainment discount coupon -15.00
and less Discount w/the above code -23.85

SubTotal 120.14

Add surcharges and tax and come up with a grand total of 160.46!!!

Hope this info helps.

By the way. Extra days are 22.99 and
extra hours are 11.50

my friend read this post here earlier and we went and knocked $29 off of our car rentals. Then I came back and read about the NCRWEB and sure enough, got another $19 knocked off of my 12 day rental.

It pays to keep reading. Thanks again!!

One thing though, the $158 didn't come up everytime, once it came up $168. I don't know why. and yes I did click Leisure travel, so it wasn't that.

I just called. To join the emerald club is $50.00
There wouldnt be savings there for me. I'll keep trying. Why cant they just give me even close to the rat that I had last year from them. I like to use them each year. Them being National. But I will not pay the rates that they are quoting this year. You would think that repeat buisness would mean something to them!!!

I personally would double check something. If you are not a EC member and use the code, I think you might get caught. I don't know from experience, I am a member. Everything I have read says you need to present your EC card when leaving the lot?? Just a thought...

just a thought....not much difference between a regal and a leSabre.....you could probably get a regal on the emerald aisle .......someone even posted today they got a leSabre....but u cannot count on that....depending on the time you are there...she said they just got back...on the 13th

Thanks Stinky Pete. I could not remember the Biztravel name for the life of me. I registered with EA this way and it worked like a gem. So go this route and save the $50 fee.

I am sure that you need your EA card when getting your car, so don't try to fake it. Also, you need to present the same credit card that you used for your reservation. I would print out your confirmation just in case there are any problems.

Here's how EA works. You can reserve a midsize or full size car. Reserve the full size. It costs the same as the midsize. Then, if a minivan or a more desirable car is parked in the Isle, you can take that car rather than the full size for no extra charge.

not so sure the ncrweb code really does anything special....

i have used it......and get the same prices with or without IT....

not to say some codes that you put into the product rate code are not good...

for example someone posted about one that was on the web site last week....NHOL

it gave full size for 179$ even though on the site it said it was for 189$...

but since then they have also lowered their rates for cars in february......at least up to 11th or 12th....to base rate of 154$

alamo also now seems to have a similar rate for those times......144$ base rate for intermediate...

keep checking .......right up til you leave

you never know how "inventory" will make prices go

I just got a 11 day rental for a full size car with National using DC. I was'nt sure which code to use for the DCc. I read somewhere on these boards that it was 5901600. Using that, and the one free weekend day coupon from my welcome package. I was able to get a full size car for
$259, and that includes taxes!! Did I get a good deal? Is that the right code to use for DC. Would joining the Emerald Club do any more for me.
And does anyone know where we(DC members) can join for free.
