I wanted to share some of the boutique/customs my girls wore to Disney last week. None were made by me. Lori (taylor*tot*designs) made quite a few for them!

Hey Ladies and Gents!

As many of you have heard the ongoing saga of my now officially cancelled WDW trip I have reservations that I will be cancelling and I wondered if anyone who had a trip scheduled for the dates I was going to be there would be interested in them.

I have the following reservations:

2/11 Crystal Palace 11:50

2/12 Askershus 11:55

2/15 Mama Melrose w/ Fantasmic 4:10

2/16 Cinderella’s Royal Table 9:05 am

2/17 Chef Mickey 9:30am

I will be cancelling them tomorrow so if you are interested please let me know so we can work out some way for you to get them.

I feel a certain allegiance to this board so I thought I would offer them up here first.

How nice of you to offer, especially during the third busiest week of the year! (I read that somewhere.) I’ll be there for some of those, but they don’t fit into my schedule. And so sorry about your cancelled trip. That’s the pits!

Thank you! It is a studio tantrum euro pattern called the "Laguna" It was SOOOOOOOO HARD! I had to throw all conventional sewing methods out the window!:rotfl: But after I did and found the sewalong, it went together pretty quickly, and I really like how it looks! BTW- that is NOT the shirt she will be wearing! I want to get a white tee and put something on it, but we will see!

JHAM,SPONGIE, and UMA-LOVE your Hannah pics! You are ALL GORGEOUS!!!!!!

This dress is so cute.

WooHoo! DD picked out that easter egg fabric for her easter dress. She wants a patchwork twirl jumper and peasant top.
DD picked the Eggs out. I'm going to do a really cute Peeps Bunny dress for her.
Here she is ladies! She was ready for school and willing to let me snap a few pictures. hahaha Its a bit bigger then I expect, but at least she can grow into it and wear it for a while.

Even cuter on.

Has it been requested that we be given a sub-board? Or have they only heard us saying that we only want a thread?

Our last post was almost at 25,000 posts, wasn't it? That's almost 10 threads just for that thread. So, what's going to be difference in having 10 different threads stickied to the top of a family page, or having our own sub-forum? With 10 (almost 11 now) frozen threads, and an ongoing thread, aren't we pretty much a sub-forum already?
I agree I think that we definitely need a sub-forum just for us.

I have scrolled thru most of the pages of this thread, you ladies are amazing!!! I am a self tought sewer and don't have the first clue on how to use a pattern (i make my own) Do any of you ladies shop for fabric online? Any where inperticular you prefer?? All I have near me is walmart and a ben franklin, I don't like BF because there prices are high knowing they are the only fabric/craft store around and they are 45 mins from my house. and wal mart didn't have much disney selection last i looked. So any suggestion??
I did just throw some tigger/pooh fabric in the wash that i bought almost a year ago to make DD2 some curtins for her room.
I have not been in a BF since I was like 9. I thought they were all closed down by now.

Not the best pic, But the first one I found LOL This is from last year CNY at Epcot

She is beautiful and so is her outfit.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to my dh!!!!

I have been cleaning out my house, and craft area. I listed a BUNCH and I Mean like 19 auctions on ebay. He had shipped out about half of those for me. WELL.....instead of using the paypal print shipping label from work, since then our printer wasn't working right. He DID NOT!!! The man bought STAMPS.. yes I said STAMPS~! and put stamps on ALL the packages.

Needless to say, since he did not weigh these and just guessed and loaded them up with lovely (Disney) stamps, 6 packages were RETURNED to me today! I have been warding off questions "where is my stuff" and I kept asking for the shipping recipt and he couldn't find them. Well no wonder why!

SOOOO Now, after much wasted time, and MUCH wasted stamps. I have to double up on shipping costs because my husband didn't do it right the first time! We got the printer working the other day, so I can print my labels thankfully!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo UPSET with him! His response??
"oooh, I thought it would be easier, and I just guessed on the weight, I was wrong" DURRRR

Vent over!
That's just how men are. My DH is exactly the same. Sometimes I think he does stupid things like that on purpose so I will stop asking him to do things.

This turned out very, very cute! Great job! It may have been hard for you, but you certainly can't tell It turned out great!

I just wanted to say I think it is great you celebrate Chinese New Year! I have to run and mail the rest of my Chinese New Year cards. We plan to go to Epcot to celebrate CNY in the China pavillion (it has become a tradition). Sadly it is the one event all year I don't make a "custom" for. DD wear her silks from China:cheer2:

CNY would be another great reason to do a Mulan custom. Mulan is my niece's fav "princess" - but I'm just at a loss as to how to make her a mulan custom. I can't find any Mulan fabric. Any ideas ladies?

Okay, I finally finished my "Minnie Head" outfit :rotfl: I ended up doing the bodice twice. My first one, I lined with white then heat'n'bonded again to the floral and started appliqueing it with regular thread :scared1: So I started over. It had too many layers and was too stiff so I just used white for my background fabric on the front of the bodice. The back and the lining of the front are still the floral. Then I caved and bought some purple embroidery thread. I always use embroidery thread on my appliques but for some reason this time I tried regular first. All I can say is the thread made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!! It went from crapplique to applique! So I am much happier with it now! I still have to put buttons on it. I found some perfect ones today at Joanns and by the time I got to the checkout, Lily had tossed them out of the cart. Of course they were the last package of those buttons :headache: Lily refuses to try it on until I get rid of the "sharps" (pins) :rotfl: I wish it was fuller, but I ran out of fabric.

IMG_0924_edited-1.jpg

Here is a closeup of the applique. I did all the purple outlines (except the middle of the eyes). It was good practice! Especially on the tapering of the lines, although it looks like she has too much mascara on! I also used a purple fabric marker to change the bow from pink to purple.

And now A GIVEAWAY!!!

I have a few of the Minnie Head panels to give away. I have one with the pink background and three with the purple background to give away, so for the first 4 people to PM me and correctly guess the names of my 4 kids (spelling doesn't count) I will mail you a Minnie Head panel. They are a great size for a toss pillow.

You're right! I'd just like to point out that Teresa is the hardest working person on the Disboutique thread! She is putting all of the pictures that are posted on the photobucket site (which involves saving them to her computer, then uploading them to photobucket, then recategorizing them), keeping up with the bookmarks, and trying to recover the links from our old thread to put on a new site. These are for you, Teresa:
:worship: :worship: :worship:

I’ll add my :worship: :worship: :worship: . And a big THANK YOU.
As for getting a sub-forum, I like the thread all in one big long list. If we HAVE to get a sub-forum, could we keep the big long list? When it hit 250 pages, it could be “stickied” to the top. So all of our bookmarks, links, pics, etc would always be there. Does that make sense?
Oh, and Heather, I just noticed your siggy. Married to the Disney-hater. :rotfl2: Last time I looked at it, I think it said Love of my life.

Okay, here's a hint. All of my kids' names are mentioned somewhere in posts I have made (with photos of them) on the new thread.

Very mullety don't you think?!?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG! This is making me laugh sooo hard! She is sooooo cute, though! what can they say, they are bringing back the mullet! and making it look GOOD!

Shhhh........ I am working on a Mulan custom for DD. She will wear her silk in "Disney's China" and then change to Mulan. She has no idea I am working on it (she has only asked me for a Mulan for a year :rolleyes1 ) I will be working on it tonight after she goes to bed and will try and post pics tomorrow.
