Okay, I finally finished my "Minnie Head" outfit

I ended up doing the bodice twice. My first one, I lined with white then heat'n'bonded again to the floral and started appliqueing it with regular thread

So I started over. It had too many layers and was too stiff so I just used white for my background fabric on the front of the bodice. The back and the lining of the front are still the floral. Then I caved and bought some purple embroidery thread. I always use embroidery thread on my appliques but for some reason this time I tried regular first. All I can say is the thread made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!! It went from crapplique to applique! So I am much happier with it now! I still have to put buttons on it. I found some perfect ones today at Joanns and by the time I got to the checkout, Lily had tossed them out of the cart. Of course they were the last package of those buttons

Lily refuses to try it on until I get rid of the "sharps" (pins)

I wish it was fuller, but I ran out of fabric.
Here is a closeup of the applique. I did all the purple outlines (except the middle of the eyes). It was good practice! Especially on the tapering of the lines, although it looks like she has too much mascara on! I also used a purple fabric marker to change the bow from pink to purple.
And now
A GIVEAWAY!!!
I have a few of the Minnie Head panels to give away. I have one with the pink background and three with the purple background to give away, so for the first 4 people to PM me and correctly guess the names of my 4 kids (spelling doesn't count) I will mail you a Minnie Head panel. They are a great size for a toss pillow.
