Hi everyone! I haven't been able to keep up the past few days! We had a death in the family and just a lot of stuff going on! I did manage to finish my DD4's valentine day skirt! I really like how it turned out! I will hopefully be able to post some pics this afternoon! I know I have missed some cute things! but hopefully things will be calm for a little bit and I can keep up! Just wanted to say "HI!"

I have scrolled thru most of the pages of this thread, you ladies are amazing!!! I am a self tought sewer and don't have the first clue on how to use a pattern (i make my own) Do any of you ladies shop for fabric online? Any where inperticular you prefer?? All I have near me is walmart and a ben franklin, I don't like BF because there prices are high knowing they are the only fabric/craft store around and they are 45 mins from my house. and wal mart didn't have much disney selection last i looked. So any suggestion??
I did just throw some tigger/pooh fabric in the wash that i bought almost a year ago to make DD2 some curtins for her room.

Here she is ladies! She was ready for school and willing to let me snap a few pictures. hahaha Its a bit bigger then I expect, but at least she can grow into it and wear it for a while.

So I am looking through a quote book for a friend for something she is working and I came across this one...

Has it been requested that we be given a sub-board? Or have they only heard us saying that we only want a thread?

Our last post was almost at 25,000 posts, wasn't it? That's almost 10 threads just for that thread. So, what's going to be difference in having 10 different threads stickied to the top of a family page, or having our own sub-forum? With 10 (almost 11 now) frozen threads, and an ongoing thread, aren't we pretty much a sub-forum already?

What do you guys think about putting all the important information (i.e. instructions, ideas, ...etc) into a website or something similar (maybe a blog type website???) so that way it won't be link to the original thread..and if they ever take away the thread again, we would have all the information stored somewhere else to go back to. If you let me know what kind of information everyone wants saved...I would be willing to take all those information and put it on a website for everyone to share. I am thinking something like blogger or maybe wordpress? What do you guys think?

Oh, just wanted to add if you guys think it is a bad idea, it won't hurt my feelings...just a suggestion.

I think that's a good idea! I'm pretty sure that's what Teresa was thinking of doing, if we could just get the site back long enough to copy the instructions off of it!

By the way...the absolute BEST time to go to Wal-Mart is during the game. It is so dead in there it is unbelievable. When we lived in a town with a Wal-Mart, it was sort of our tradition to go during the game.

I agree, I got groceries at Walmart and Meijer yesterday during the game and you could hear the crickets chirping. It was great!! I was gloating about how smart I was until I got to the checkout and they only had 2 lanes open and a new cashier. I waited in line for 20 minutes...GRRRRRRR!!!!!

I love the little Chip applique on the Belle dress!! CUTE! It's got me thinking I should add one to Tessa's Belle dress! The Belle bling is fantastic and will look great with that skirt!

Heather, Ariel is great! Does Sawyer have any customs for disney? I think Tessa has more then days you'll be there.

Um...no....Am I a bad Mommy? But, I am working on a Prince Charming outfit. Plus, I have fabric to make him a Cars button up shirt and a Buzz Lightyear button up shirt. I'm also thinking about appliqueing Sebastian (from the pillowcase) onto a t-shirt for him. He also has a Peter Pan costume to wear. So, I've got ideas, I just have to actually do it!

I am not sure how to multi-quote yet, but I love all the pictures everyone has been posting. You guys do some amazing work! I can only hope I can get that good one day!

Have you read the tutorial on the first post in this thread about multi-quoting? It's not too hard!

I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the HP printer and not the mac that has issues. Too bad my DH, the systems engineer, apparently was too busy with his World of Warcrack to bother with fixing my computer. I shouldn't be surprised, he managed to ignore all 6 of the trash bags that needed to go out this morning too. I sure wish I was able to render things invisible so I didn't have to deal with them too.

That's like my Computer programmer of a DH not seeing the 5 loads of laundry he promised to fold with me, so he could go on his "guild quest".

Warcrack. I like the name. Glad I'm not alone....not really. Sorry for everyone else in the boat.

I mailed out the fabric today. 25 packages!! So no one be surprised if you see another little kid in pink vintage minnie dot and minnie hearts the next time you go to WDW.

I was thinking....we are already about half way there to getting locked and havign to restart, and they haven't even re-posted the old thread!!! We are a chatty bunch!!

I agree with a central place for instructions and the like. That would be nice.

Well, I have to get the kiddos off of the bus and finish folding laundry. I have a big sewing day planned tomorrow, and I don't want anything messign that up!!

I do like how they look cut off some but if I know my "drama mama" of a 3 yr. old, she will not like that I cut her face off and not wear it!

I know exactly what you mean! Tessa had very strong opinions about what I did with that Ariel applique! She did not want me to cut ANY of Ariel off and she wanted me to use the BIGGEST picture! LOL!

I think this is adorable! It's not as twirly as you were going for, but it's still really cute! You did a great job on the applique! Going around Mickey's head with all those curves is hard, and you did it really well!

They didn't have my size either. I bought a size bigger and altered them

Mine are too big in the hips (because my waist is so big). I didn't think I'd be able to wear them, but maybe I can test out my new sewing skills on altering them....

The boys and I ended up passing around the flu the whole time we were there and we lost most of our adr's Haven absoluted loved seeing the characters. Goliath spent about 10 minutes playing on the floor with her.

Unfortunately Dh wants this to be our last disney trip, besides maybe a mother/daughter one a few years from now. It was our second trip and the boys were very much been there, done that, let's get back to the pool!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to my dh!!!!

I have been cleaning out my house, and craft area. I listed a BUNCH and I Mean like 19 auctions on ebay. He had shipped out about half of those for me. WELL.....instead of using the paypal print shipping label from work, since then our printer wasn't working right. He DID NOT!!! The man bought STAMPS.. yes I said STAMPS~! and put stamps on ALL the packages.

Needless to say, since he did not weigh these and just guessed and loaded them up with lovely (Disney) stamps, 6 packages were RETURNED to me today! I have been warding off questions "where is my stuff" and I kept asking for the shipping recipt and he couldn't find them. Well no wonder why!

SOOOO Now, after much wasted time, and MUCH wasted stamps. I have to double up on shipping costs because my husband didn't do it right the first time! We got the printer working the other day, so I can print my labels thankfully!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo UPSET with him! His response??
"oooh, I thought it would be easier, and I just guessed on the weight, I was wrong" DURRRR

You're right! I'd just like to point out that Teresa is the hardest working person on the Disboutique thread! She is putting all of the pictures that are posted on the photobucket site (which involves saving them to her computer, then uploading them to photobucket, then recategorizing them), keeping up with the bookmarks, and trying to recover the links from our old thread to put on a new site. These are for you, Teresa:
