What I love aout ths thread is that it's just streamlined. I don't have to go back and look at each thread when I want to read something. Maybe I am just lazy>:confused3 ...Maybe I am because I never learned to post pictures!

I have been here from the beginning and make outfits for my DD all the time and never post. Can somebody walk the lazy one through? Maybe I should change my name?

BTW, I have a photobucket acct but my Kaspersky Anti-virus doesn't like it.

Going to answer this question but I see it was answered already after I saw all of your beautiful outfits! Great Job!

fun with vents and bishops!

Didn't save them all but they are all gorgeous! I would love to learn how to smock. I'll have to put it on my to do list. It's getting pretty big!

I'm way behind! I'm on page 20 and we are up to 33 so I'm not commenting on all of the wonderful and beautiful creations I've seen. Great job everybody!

You can solve this problem by going to the local hardware store and buying a rubber gasket the size of the jibbitz....put the gasket on the INSIDE of the shoe, but the jibbitz through the mickey head and through the gasket. Now the gasket will hold the jibbitz in, and for most styles of jibbitz, you won't be able to see the gasket as the entire mickey head hole will be covered. I did this for the girls' regular size holes because I'd read so many people complaining about the jibbitz falling out even on regular holes. At $3-4 each I don't want to be losing these babies....I'm too cheap.

That's a good tip. And you're not cheap. You should have seen the fit I through when the dog chewed up DD's Cinderella, Buzz and Castle Jibbitz that I had bought in WDW.

I didn't even know that minnie's house had a sewing machine until this thread!
I didn't realize that it was there until this thread also. That is too funny.

This is what I did yesterday. It is size 3t but I tried it on Megan just to see how the mickey head looked. I can't believe I put it too high. I guess I didn't judge how much room the casing for the neck elastic would take. Does it look bad? The bottom is not finished because I ran out of minnie dot and I am getting some more to put a ruffle on. Be honest!

I think that is fine the way that it is. If your DD likes I say run with it.

Heather ~ Congrats on your 500th post!

Jahm ~ I love your customs ... especially seeing them in the park looks like you had fun!

luv2dressemup ~ Tooo cute! Did you guys like the tea? Was it the perfectly princess one? I was thinking about it if we have a girl at the time till I saw the price yikes lol.

stephres ~ I like it and I agree if your DD likes it just leave it alone. Course I know taht is much easier said than done lol.

k_s_m~ I adore this shirt such a cute cute way to do it!

Ok as you guys know I am not much of a sewer. I am really not good with following patterns so I think I am going to start myself out very small. I want to make a pillowcase dress. I say this thinking they are easy ... are they? I bought a little mermaid panel last night at Walmart and I think that I can turn it into one. So my question is what is the easiest pattern to use for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Camping Griswald, where did you find that fantastic Little Einsteins outfit?! Did you do that one? It's amazing! I'm glad DD didn't see if but DH did and he wanted me to find it or make it (?!) Making it would require a skill level that totally dwarfs mine currently.

All your DD's outfits are fabulous!

Thanks!

I thought you have made twirl skirts before? So you've bought them and made the ribbon t-shirts? So confused!

Anyway, I love it! Megan does too. She already told me that I need to make her one so she can wear it to Crystal Palace when we go in March. I haven't even made ADRs, so I'd better get going. Where do you find the storybook fabric? Is is with the other licensed stuff?

Nope, first twirl skirt for me. DD has a Christmas set that I got on ebay and eeyore3847 made her Valentine tutu twirl skirt. Other than that I can't think of any other skirts that she has.

The Pooh Storybook is a Kit. They also have Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Buzz Lightyear, Various princesses, and I think Raggedy Ann. It is a kit and comes with the batting to put between the pages. In both of my Joanns they have been on endcaps (end of an aisle) in the fabric department.

Does anyone have a pattern for a Sailor's hat? I'm looking for a pattern for a hat that looks like this:

Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas for a Hoop De Doo Revue Custom.

The girls are 7, 5 and 3.

Thanks,
Marianne

what abour red bandanna fabric and some cow fabric. how about a twirl skirt or a little tutu skirt with a halter top with an applique on it?
lori

Tnmom25 The mickey "quilt" fabric is awsome. What are you going to make with it?

I have no idea! I just know I'd never seen it before and I have a rule that if that happens, I must buy some!

That's some great fabric! Did the saleslady try to talk you into unecessary features? I'm sorry I couldn't help you out with it, but I don't have an embroidery machine!

Nah! I just spent 2hrs playing with a $4000 machine to decide that I like appliques better. They are more original. Anyone can sit down to an embroidery machine and create the same design 1000 times, but appliques are unique.

I think it's a little high for Megan, but it might be ok on the 3yo.

I just wanted to post that this is my 500th post!! I'd like to thank all my disboutique friends for helping me get to this very important milestone in my life! ;)

On another exciting note, we're getting a new dog today!! It's been a little over a year since my sweet 16 year old dog, Tomia, died. Here's a link to her story on my website: http://www.geocities.com/heaths32/tomia.html
I wanted to wait a while to see if I still wanted to have 2 dogs again, and I do!

So, I looked on Craigslist and found someone giving away a 7 year old miniature schnauzer named Pierre! I e-mailed her, filled out an application, and she picked us to be his "parents"! His current owner says he's housetrained, doesn't chew, is great with kids, and knows some cool tricks! She's giving him away because she's moving to Canada and apparently there are some loopholes to jump through when taking a dog over the border. :confused3 Anyway, we're really excited and I hope everything goes well! We have to drive 2.5 hours to get him, so I probably won't be on again today. I'll post pictures of our new doggie soon!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: on 500 posts!!!! And on getting another dog! I like having two, I always feel that one is lonely.

CastleCreations - Why didn't you tell me?!?!? I was just on the cruise boards, and read that Brent isnt on the Wonder anymore! I was looking forward to seeing... I mean meeting him!! It was mentioned that he's getting married? Are you holding out on us?

Actually I hadn't heard that. I know he's getting married in Australia next month. He must have forgot to mail the invitation. LOL. I guess it wouldn't look good if I tackled him right before he said I do...:rolleyes1

I was at a second hand store that my friend suggested. Usually I can't stand them, and stay far away, because of the smell. Long story...but I hate that musty moldy attic smell....ick
Anyhow I found something that doesn't fit my dd but had to have...

I just thought it was the funniest thing. I was laughing in the store and people were looking at me..LOL.
I will have to list it because it is way to small, but I just thought it was a total riot...it would definately stand out against all of those plain ponchos.

WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND HERE????? I leave for a few days and BAM! you've got a new thread. Ya'll were probably trying to dodge me, but see that! I'm cleverer than you think! I found you sneaky girls anyway.

So, the bobbin kept bunching up on my MIL's machine last week and the peasant top is still in pieces. I am going to try to work on it today a bit. We'll see. I have GOT to get internet at home so I can keep up w/ ya'll better. That and a job that doesn't work me 24-7 so that I can actually get some sewing done.

Now, I have like 34 pages to review, I'd better get to it:surfweb:

...t.

IMHO i think it is a smidge to high on Megan BUT on a 2-3 yr old it will be fine, other than that it looks great ,;)

wow that is too cute:cutie: and yes it would definately stand out among the plain ponchos.... ;)

So do most people/children wear crocs???

I've seen them, though we only have the basic pairs here -I've never seen girlyfied ones - all are the same clog shape, I thought they looked strange. So are they actually comfy??

DH has some knock offs that his dad gave him when they were boating, and I just can't see the appeal (sorry) maybe I need to find out more lol ;)
My whole family loves their crocs - they are sooooooo comfy!!!

Waiting for bus from campground to Epcot

Minnie admiring her Epcot outfit
I loe your EPCOT outfit - is that red fabric the same you used for the minnie outfit?
Thanks, Wendy
