Ok, I'm going to ask once again. WHERE IS THE ORIGINAL THREAD? It was stated that it would be back in 24 hours. It has been well over 48 hours. The thread has not been reposted. Where is it?

Yesterday morning I requested that a MOD respond. I even reported my own post that contained the question to a MOD. No one has resonded to me. Not even "forget it, it's not coming back."

When is it coming back? Is it coming back? Could you please just respond to the questions? Anything.

An update from Webmaster Alex

The experiment with removing the long threads surprised even us! As you can see the boards are flying and there were no other changes made. Because of that we need to find a way to deal with this issue. We want to see what happens on Monday, which traditionally is our busiest day of the week.
I want to assure everyone that we will be bringing back the posts in those threads, we just need to work out the best way to do that and keep the performance of the boards where it is now.
In the mean time please feel free to start a new thread.
Alex

I will laugh WITH you, along with Heather! At least you weren't scared of the baby!

Lydia hates hair in her face too, so she is always asking me to cut her bangs. I've threatened her to NEVER try to do it herself though! I hope she listens!
I am always begging Arminda to let me cut her bangs, I love the way they frame her face. She always wants to grow them out and I'm always trying to get her to let me cut them!

Thanks for laughing with me and not at me! :rotfl: I really thought she had some kind of medical issue.

Megan has cut her own bangs a couple of times, so I really have to stay on top of her! Isn't it funny how they never listen to our hair and fashion wisdom?

Cute! Is this at the conservation station? I have never seen Jiminy in the parks before!

Cute! And your first ever appliqué looks great! And I did not notice the tree at all. You will find that I am not as nosy as some of the other people around here. :snooty:

Hello ladies,

I don't know how to do this, but I need help... I want to buy some High school musical fabric... but I can't find any... I'm from a small town in Canada and our Wal Mart is closing down the fabric department... I'm sooo upset, because they do have a little bit of Disney fabric and I was happy with it... but when I ask for some High school ones, they replied that no, we can't get it because we are closing down the department :scared1:

If anyone can help me out here, I would be very happy and how to do this, I don't have a pay pal account, don't even know how to get one :confused3 ... appreciate any help... thank you!!!

We have high school musical flannel down here. I bought a high school musical pillowcase at wal mart. I haven't decided what to do with it, but I thought I could use it somehow.

Cute costumes! Your daughter looks like a model.

The animal kingdom outfit is totally cute! I love it!

I am sorry that the peasant top is stiff, but it is totally adorable. Another great way to use the pillowcases, I love it! And your daughter is a total cutie-pie!

Love the valentine jumper and she is so cute checking herself out in the mirror! That picture of her going down the slide is precious! That Belle dress looks so beautiful and I am sure your daughter felt so special. Does she ever get jealous that the little ones gets so much attention?

And the Cinderella jumper is so cute. Those crocs match perfectly!

Good job on getting the required pic! I have been looking at that mickey head fabric and trying to decide it I "need" it. It really looks great on the boys. I love your dauhter's pose in the family shot, so cute! And meeting Minnie in the minnie dot is so cool.

Love the family shot! Jayden looks so cute in her pink and black pirate outfit. When someone tells Megan she is cute she usually says, "I know!" It is so embarassing! I love all the matching nemo outfits. I wanted to make my son a nemo shirt but he said he wouldn't wear it so I can understand. I love the peasant top, it is pretty and disney without being babyish. You did such a great job on all the outfits!

Okey Dokie, Im not doing the whole multi quote thing but do want to comment.:cutie:

Jham, Looks like you have a GREAT time, thanks for posting the photos. Where did you get your dd's red shoes with the dots? I love them. How much were they? I also love the material with the Mickey, circles, flowers, and maybe paisleys that you oldest DD was wearing ridiing the horse, where did you get it and how long ago?

The THEATER dress is a great combinataion of colors. I love the hat/bow. Way 2 go.

That ANIMAL KINGDOM dress make me want to reach out and pet my computer screen :confused3

Luv2DressEmUp The photo of you DD in the tea cups is priceless.

Tnmom25 The mickey "quilt" fabric is awsome. What are you going to make with it?

I also love the storybook panel twirl skirt, what a GREAT idea.

everyone have a super Sunday

I love the Cinderella dress, I have yet to try a princess dress. Well at least he liked his jacket, lol. Boys are so hard to make customs for, especially when they get older. Less is more I suppose. I love the crocs with socks!

The minnie outfits are great! I love that style skirt and I like that you can use just a little minnie dot and it still is definitely minnie. Hope that made sense!

I think Nana was talking on the other thread about selling a custom off a child's back and she (the child) was complaining that she would be "nakit!" Next time you will have to make sure to bring extra clothes so you can sell them to interested tourists!

Princess Tea Party w/Sleeping Beauty

All the pics are great, I love this one! We did that too, and Megan had the best time.

NO! So bummed! I wanted the required picture with the girls too! Do I have to leave now? :sad1:

No, please don't leave! You can get it next time you go. I didn't even know that minnie's house had a sewing machine until this thread!

I never made it about 65 today and the rain was a mess but we still managed to spend from 10 - 1015 to almost 445 there! had a blast - but Im TIRED!!!

That's a long time, I bet you are tired! Sorry it rained, but glad you had fun!

Yes, this is the Conservation station at AK. We have seen Jiminy here a few times, I think he just started appearing recently.

Cool. I love going there but DH does not, so we don't go every trip. The last time we went we saw Pocahontas so it was worth it! I love the petting zoo too. And being able to just sit after all that walking is fine with me too.

THANKS SO MUCH! I was very frustrated. I DO wonder what it takes for a mod to respond. But that's a whole different frustration. At least now I know to hold tight until Monday. Thanks, Cindee!

This is what I did yesterday. It is size 3t but I tried it on Megan just to see how the mickey head looked. I can't believe I put it too high. I guess I didn't judge how much room the casing for the neck elastic would take. Does it look bad? The bottom is not finished because I ran out of minnie dot and I am getting some more to put a ruffle on. Be honest!

That's some great fabric! Did the saleslady try to talk you into unecessary features? I'm sorry I couldn't help you out with it, but I don't have an embroidery machine!

I also got this in the mail the other day! I loved glorib's Marie outfit so much, I went on the hunt for fabric. I got this on voldemort and it came from Malaysia. I can't wait to make dd2's outfit!
th_Mariefabric.jpg
 I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I went to Walmart and I didn't find amazing fabrics, but it was a success. I think we're going to do the ribbon shirt, but I have a few questions for the ribbon shirt lady - did you carry the ribbon all the way to the back? Did you use basic black for Mickey or silky black or does it matter?

Another question for everyone I picked up HeatnBond iron on adhesive and didn't realize until I was home that it was a no-sew version. Has anyone used this before?

I think most of us use basic black for Mickey heads. The silky stuff would probably ravel easier. I don't like the regular heat 'n Bond for anything! I've tried using it several times and it doesn't hold at all!

Nope, I don't think it's weird. My DH and I have always wanted gobs of children (we currently have 5;) ). We were thinking 7 sounded good. Anyway, after I birthed my 4th I cried because I was more than halfway done and it seemed sad to me. Pretty pathetic huh. I don't know what I'll do when we decide that we are not having any more children.
So no... not weird at all.
Thanks for not thinking I'm weird! I didn't have a choice not to have any more kids. That's probably why I'm having a hard time with it. I would really love to adopt someday, but DH isn't sold on that idea.
One of my friends, DisneyMom5 (on the Dis, Sarah IRL), has 7 kids and everything seems to run so smoothly at their house!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Okay, I just got back from the World last night and was all ready to do some catching up and it was gone! So I found you all again right away, and it looks like I still have plenty of catching up, but I feel a bit weird that I missed so much! Maybe when I get caught up I'll know more of what's going on, or maybe not :rotfl: So I can't wait to post some photos! I'm currently trying to upload 700 photos from my camera and I need to order my photopass CD. I have 164 photos on there. I think I may have to do a mini TR on the TR board just so I can tell you all about my trip and share a ton of photos! My disboutiquer friends will probably be the only ones who show up to read it since this is usually the only place I hang out. We had a great trip, Lily got tons of attention in her customs. I'll probably be caught up on this thread (except for the missing week! I feel like I have amnesia or something) by the time all of my photos upload and I get some into photobucket.
:welcome: back!! I'm glad you found us!!! I can't wait to see your pictures!

This turned out really cute! I love the storybook skirts!

Thank you all for the compliments. She loves it so that is the most important thing anyway. She has been all pissy around the house in it today. :) We are potty training so her wearing overalls has been LOTS of fun. :rotfl: And yes she is a doll we adore her. She is going to be the one that rips my heart out when she goes, well not just me my hubby and my kiddos as well. We are just trying to focus on she and her brother and the hear and now. And how that if and when she goes she will be going home to grandma who loves her dearly. :goodvibes
You sound like such wonderful foster parents! You are what these kids need- a family who loves them and will miss them when they are gone!

I LOVE THIS, TOO!!!

So do most people/children wear crocs???

I've seen them, though we only have the basic pairs here -I've never seen girlyfied ones - all are the same clog shape, I thought they looked strange. So are they actually comfy??

DH has some knock offs that his dad gave him when they were boating, and I just can't see the appeal (sorry) maybe I need to find out more lol ;)

I have a pair but I only wear them around the house. They look really bad on my feet. My kids wear them a lot when it was warmer and they wore them in Walt Disney World a lot. They also wore their sandals. Good walking shoes are important in WDW.
I almost forgot Animal Kingdom! And a funny story that goes with it. All 4 of my kids had black t-shirts with various animal print appliqued Mickey heads, the girls had bows so I guess theirs were Minnie heads :lmao: We spent the day at AK then had dinner at Boma at AKL. After dinner we were browsing around the AKL gift shop and this couple (probably in their 50's) cry out "there they are!" :confused3 and run up to us. They seem so happy to see us :confused3 The woman blurts out "where did you get those shirts? I have looked in every gift shop and have asked everyone and no one knows what I am talking about!" (they saw us earlier in the park) I said "oh, I made them" and both of their faces just fell. It was funny but sad. They really wanted those shirts! In hindsight I should've sold them the ones off my kids backs :rotfl: (just kidding) but it was the end of the day for us. Hmmm...

Ok, I know this is going to sound bad but I am finally getting around to uploading some pics to show you guys our THANKSGIVING trip!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: We had SUCH a great time - it was our first famliy trip with our daughter to Disney.

Had early reservations so had whole Main Street to herself...love the skipping to the castle! She was SO amazed to see the "REAL" everything!

Sewing at Minnie's

Laughing on the teacups!

Princess Tea Party w/Sleeping Beauty

Thanksgiving at Fort Wilderness Dancing with Goofy - but he covered up my applique - I'm going to have to talk to him about that next time!!!!

Waiting for bus from campground to Epcot

Minnie admiring her Epcot outfit

We were having so much fun that we decided to stay one more day - I should have made an extra Animal outfit - I'll be prepared next time :) How embarassing that she had to wear the same outfit twice:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry for taking up SO much room! But had to share

I love :lovestruc :lovestruc all the pictures taken in WDW! Thank you for sharing them!

okay! so after a small panic attack:confused3 i found you guys again,:lovestruc
and everything posted is adorable ,
tr pictures are wonderful and look at all those cute kiddos ,
i am once again having the pleasure of being up at almost 3 am with a 2yr old who is having horrible nightmares,(thanks to dad and a movie that he should not have let him watch, while mom was gone on her girl's night) anywho:rolleyes1 i am all caught up now:thumbsup2 love ,love everything posted:banana: way to much to quote on :rotfl:

Been there, done that! Hope you get some rest today! I am the mean mommy now because every time DS wakes up at night I can directly relate it to something Daddy let him watch!

Sorry for taking up SO much room! But had to share

Loved them all! She looks dressed WAY too nice for a campground! I know it isn't really like that and we love Ft Wilderness! but looks so fancy!

We love our crocs! I wear them all the time (with socks in winter) but usually at the parks I opt for tennis shoes. I am just not sure I would like them all day long.

Okay, I'm having major computer problems, but hopefully I can get this to go through before it crashes again! Here are some pictures from our trip:

Here is Lily in her Valentine's jumper and bows I made at the last minute for the plane trip. This in at our layover in Atlanta after a long plane ride (hence the hairdo). I woke and dressed her at 4am so this is the first time she realizes she is in a pretty new dress!

th_IMG_0183_edited-1.jpg

Okay, better post this batch before my internet crashes again, more photos on the way!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great time it looks like you had! I LOVE the matching family and that everyone pretty much went along! LOVE the outfits!

Fabric softner is my only suggestion also. Too much heat n bond or lining will make things stiffer, but honestly I LOVE it and think it is fine!

I like the way it turned out. I think it would fit differently on a 3 year old.

Thank you so much for my Avatar! It was hard picking which picture to put up there. I couldn't decide between that one and one of Sophie.

1. Some of us are custom sewers so if you want to buy a copy of something you can ask.
2. Some of us are ebayers and you can see the id in their signatures.
3. You could just take your chance at buying off ebay.
4. You could guilt your mom into making some stuff.
5. You could look at some of the tutorials and learn how! We will guide you!

Let us know what you decide!!
Just make sure you ask in a PM, so we don't get in trouble for talking about :wizard: !

Someone, I think it was Teresa or Heather offered to help me with my avatar. But now I can't remember which one it was and I can't find the post.

Can someone help me with my avatar?

Pretty Please with Sugar on Top?
It was me, but Teresa's pretty darn helpful, too. So is Stephres, apparently! It looks like you got some help and I love your new avatar!!!

How cute is that?! I love it!

That is so unique! Great job on your first applique!

Oh my gosh, what a couple of cuties!!! Oh, I mean, how mysterious and dangerous your DS looks! :rotfl: I have that pattern your DD is wearing! I always thought it would be cute!

th_CIMG0519.jpg

Good thing that ya'll can't see the front door.:rotfl2: After I took down the tree I undecorated the front door also and the fireplace.
:rotfl:

The AK outfit is SO cute! It's amazing how many animal print outfits we can make, and they all look different! I really, really, love the Ariel peasant top! Your DD is absolutely precious!!!! I showed Tessa the picture and she say "Awww...how cute!"

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures and the mini TR! Tessa liked getting to see her "boyfriend" again. Where's his signature pose? ;)

I just hope it looks ok on her and the mickey head doesn't look bunched up.

You are very welcome! I'm glad I could help out.

Wow, I have been on the computer all morning! I bid on Marie and Bambi fabric from :wizard: so wish me luck! I need to get off my butt though. Have a great day disboutiquers!

I did a pre trip report of all of my daughters outfits. Please take a peek. I don't know if this will work, so if not, it's under the Trip Reports Thread, then under the sub heading of pre-trips. The title is, "Mommy and Me "Do Disney" all by ourselves."

This is what my "little helper"was wearing while I was taking all of those pictures:
pretripreportpics011-1.jpg

Goofy face, and horrible hair, but the excitement of us leaving in 3 days is so contagious! She keeps switching from Snow White, to Cinderella, to Mulan, to Tinkerbelle, to Ariel.

Now Tessa's saying she's going to marry him. So, he's moved from boyfriend to fiance in 1 post. :rotfl:

So do most people/children wear crocs???
Crocs, crocs everywhere! I am one of the last holdouts on crocs. I hate the way they make my feet look and when I tried on Teresa's, I didn't like the way my feet "sloshed" around. I'm thinking I might try the Mary Janes. I have some sketchers flip-flops that are made out of the same kind of stuff and they are WONDERFULLY comfortable- like walking on air!

Personally I think they are rather ugly on women, not so much on men and frankly cute on children.
LOL! I think they're ugly on men, but not so bad on women and children! But, it's all about the comfort!

Thank you for sharing these great pictures and your customs! Please see the first post for the "NO APOLOGIZING" rule! ;) Did you make this Aurora dress? It's so cute!

:cool1: Yeahhh I found you guys again!!! I haven't had a chance to catch up yet but what I have seen is absoultely wonderful. You sewers ROCK!!!!!

P.S. DH will not be going to CA for a week in February so no Disneyland BUT I did kinda get an "almost yes" for a December 2008 WDW trip!!!!
Hey, you have new siggy pics! SOOO cute! :woohoo: about your almost yes!

Hey heather we got us another shutterfly- (long name/address) user. ;)
I know, what's wrong with you people?! :rotfl2:

Yay!! You found us!! Sorry to hear you're up with a scared toddler. Tessa keeps coming and sleeping on my floor at night because she's scared.

You can solve this problem by going to the local hardware store and buying a rubber gasket the size of the jibbitz....put the gasket on the INSIDE of the shoe, but the jibbitz through the mickey head and through the gasket. Now the gasket will hold the jibbitz in, and for most styles of jibbitz, you won't be able to see the gasket as the entire mickey head hole will be covered. I did this for the girls' regular size holes because I'd read so many people complaining about the jibbitz falling out even on regular holes. At $3-4 each I don't want to be losing these babies....I'm too cheap.
Aren't you handy! What a great idea!

:snooty: Really is wasn't my fault. Jacob was the strangest, most well-behaved baby in the world. I just didn't realize it then. When I took Megan in for her checkup at 18 mos., I asked if she could be autistic because she wouldn't let me brush her teeth and hair and I had to physically hold her down with my knee to get the car seat buckled. He laughed at me and said she is a toddler, look out! I really didn't know if both of us were going to make it out alive for those 3 years!
 Oh, I feel for you!! Tessa was the exact same way! I had to wrap her up in a towel, really tightly to brush her teeth. Sawyer just lets me do it. Luckily, I had my stinker first and my easy baby 2nd, so it was a welcome surprise! I couldn't take my eyes off of Tessa for a second. She was always into something! Once she hit about 3, things got much easier. Now, she's really a well-behaved girl! When people say how much busier boys are, I just look at them like this: :confused3

I knew it would look great on!! It turned out really cute!

I think it is a little high. always do applique last on a shirt like that.but if she wears it with pride and love it should not matter.

WOW! What incredible outfits you have planned! You guys are going to have so much fun!!

I just wanted to post that this is my 500th post!! I'd like to thank all my disboutique friends for helping me get to this very important milestone in my life! ;)

On another exciting note, we're getting a new dog today!! It's been a little over a year since my sweet 16 year old dog, Tomia, died. Here's a link to her story on my website: http://www.geocities.com/heaths32/tomia.html
I wanted to wait a while to see if I still wanted to have 2 dogs again, and I do!

So, I looked on Craigslist and found someone giving away a 7 year old miniature schnauzer named Pierre! I e-mailed her, filled out an application, and she picked us to be his "parents"! His current owner says he's housetrained, doesn't chew, is great with kids, and knows some cool tricks! She's giving him away because she's moving to Canada and apparently there are some loopholes to jump through when taking a dog over the border. :confused3 Anyway, we're really excited and I hope everything goes well! We have to drive 2.5 hours to get him, so I probably won't be on again today. I'll post pictures of our new doggie soon!
