These are all fabulous! I REALLY love the birthday party fabric! Where did you find it? SO cute!

I found it at Joann's I thought it was adorable and a little different!

Have fun at the world! It is 50 degrees here in Tampa so she might need the tights! I love the black and white dress with the triangle hem, so cute! And she is such a cutie playing Mrs. Potts!
I never made it about 65 today and the rain was a mess but we still managed to spend from 10 - 1015 to almost 445 there! had a blast - but Im TIRED!!!

Well I decided to Disney-fy my sailor outfit. Here is the results. I haven't put the hooks inside the top, so it's just pinned, that's why it's hanging funny in the front. Also there will be a red ribbon on the front...eventually..LOL

Hope you all like it!

How CUTE!
I've seen the Hannah Montana satin but I haven't seen the Hannah flannel. DD saw the HM satin and wants an outfit with that. So I guess that is my next project.

Here is DD's Mardi Gras dress and hat.

DD with the crown.
CIMG0514.jpg

The applique on the top of the dress. This is my first ever actual applique. I did the detail on the face myself. I wouldn't have done it without the motivation of you people. Thanks.
CIMG0516.jpg

And the bow.
CIMG0518.jpg

Very cute too!!!

I'll post some pics of Em at Animal Kingdom tomorrow - I am in the process of uploading pics tonight so I will post them sometime tomorrow.

To any others I missed I apologize! The outfits are GREAT!!!!

Kristina

Hey, you are the ONLY person to have ever read my (never finished) cruise TR! :rotfl:

I tried to quote your pics from Disneyland but that was one of the many times my internet crashed today. I think it's mad at us because we ignored it for a week! I love how your outfits turned out! The girls looked great in their skirts! I love the picture of Seli and Scout looking over the railing at Jedi Training Academy! And I have never seen all of your boys with such short hair before (okay, I've known them since birth, I guess I should say it's been a long time since they've all had such short hair!) Tell Hallden we went to Pizza Planet JUST FOR HIM!

Yeah...still waiting on that cruise report...:rotfl: Your outfits look so amazing! I am in LOVE with Cinderella (her outfit too!)!! So, there's been some talk about crocs on the thread...I'm really liking your mary jane style...are they comfy? I just cannot get into the regular crocs, I think it has something to do w/making my feet look ginormous! They are comfy though! And Uggs are Uggly? WHAT? :scared1: I LOVE MINE! I don't think I've worn anything else for weeks!! No, they make my feet look huge too....ahh well...
Hallden will be thrilled, if not somewhat jealous... Yeah, they all got their hair chopped before the trip...Hallden was looking pretty shagadelic before he got it chopped (and that is about the shortest it's been for 3 or so years???)....
OH! Seth looks GREAT w/glasses! FUN!!!

Elisa - CASE away!

I love alll of the pictures from the World!! It's getting me even more excited to go in 2 weeks!!

All of these photos have been terrific! Love the park ones!
You did such a fantastic job!
Makes all the hard work, broken needles, pin pricks, broken thread, seam rippers, sweat, frustration, and machines that we have threatened to throw out the window, WORTH IT ALL!:lovestruc

I second that!!! Everybody on here does such a wonderful job with all of these outfits. I know that everyone of us has some very happy children.

I love this picture. Did you enjoy the party? I'm taking my daughter to the tea party in March. Her custom just arrived today.:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed it! Dad even went with us! She felt like a princess from the moment we stepped in the hotel. They do their best to make the girls feel special. Briar Rose was an excellent story teller and did a great job including all of the girls. And DD4 was engaged throughout the whole event. It was so precious watching her pour her tea and pouring her Daddy's tea, playing with the doll etc. Definately a time to remember!

**Hint**The adults lunch plate left a little to be desired...didn't take away any from the fun we had though...just a heads up!

Castle- That turned out really great- Good Luck on :wizard:
What a great Idea- I suppose we are using pillow cases- why not the sheets too!!! And that baby is sooooo sweet- I am totally baby jonesing- My baby isn't really babish anymore and I am realizing it more everyday- she even wants to sit on the potty- at 18 months!! I don't think she'll be "trained" any time soon- She is just getting so big!!!:sad1: I don't know if we will be having more,dh says no more, I'm just not so sure yet! We're young we got time to change his mind. ok sorry- Any way thanks for sharing your precious little one with us in her sox diaper. I bet she even still smells new :cloud9: :SIGH:
th_sewing019.jpg

I agree with the others- don't ripe open the jeans again:headache: - ANd I don't think they look to big for her- so hopefully she will get to wear them out a few times even if she doesn't stay with you.

What a great find- I love that fabric
So more questions from the newbie ....

Do your children wear the outfits all day in the parks?? or is it normally for special stuff (character meals etc).

What shoes do they wear so they fit in with the outfit but are still comfortable enough for all that walking??

It looks at this stage that we will be in Disneyland October 09 (sounds much better just saying next year) Can someone tell me what the weather is like around october? What sort of clothes can you suggest?.......

I think I'm going to have to start a "to sew" list

Already on there is the Amy Butler Weekender bag - think I might try to disneyfy it :rolleyes1

A big disney quilt for each of the girls (this is for christmas) made from Minky :cloud9:

Some outfits......

Is there anything else I need to get addicted too :rolleyes1
Have you checked out the Creative DISigns threads they have great stuff- Directions to make "passports" , autograph books, And a TON of iron on designs- They are really great over there. THey will personalize most anything!!
I'm so excited, my first outfit to share on the new thread!! After much debating, i finally decided on my first ever twirl skirt for dinner at The Crystal Palcace! I love the way it turned out! I'll be making more of this type of skirt!! It is made from a storybook kit from Joann's.

I am so excited!! I just got this fabric in the mail today from "the site that shall not be named!". I paid way too much for it, but I've tried to get it for some months. Kirsta has had 3 variations of the Blue cinderella fabric for her special dress with Cinderella and this is new and different!!

Sorry this got dropped:confused3 I am trying to catch up here- I think we must be in a race to catch up to our old thread- 30 pages in just a couple days- are we chatting cathys or what!! I got together with my BF and all the kids today and totally fell behind!! We ended up going grocery shopping this evening-And not even alone! We are in dire need of a mommies night out!!
Ok back to you-
Those are beautiful- the purple cinderella will be great too- Can't wait to see what you do with it!!

So do most people/children wear crocs???

I've seen them, though we only have the basic pairs here -I've never seen girlyfied ones - all are the same clog shape, I thought they looked strange. So are they actually comfy??

DH has some knock offs that his dad gave him when they were boating, and I just can't see the appeal (sorry) maybe I need to find out more lol ;)

There are a few different styles that are "girlyfied"....my girls have the Mary Jane and Alice ones and they are quite cute and girly looking, and definitely NOT cloggy looking. The women's alice style doesn't have any holes for jibbitz, but the girls' alice has 3 holes and they each have their favorite princess in the middle hole. We were going to get them the Castle jibbitz, that you apparently can only buy at WDW or DL....but we didn't really like it when we saw it, it's all gray and blue, not very vivid colors like the princesses. So, we're still debating whether we want them or not....since we'll be here for another couple weeks I'm guessing we'll wait until the last minute and then I just really think they're going to want them because it will be one of those "can't get this anywhere else" moments, lol.

As for the knock-offs.....having tried on many different versions of knock-offs and then finally breaking down and getting a real pair of crocs......I can say that the knock offs only LOOK like crocs....they most definitely do not have the comfort of a real pair. Go to www.crocs.com and see if there is a retail store near you that has real crocs.....we actually found the girls' alice shoes at a local mall, and their Mary Janes at Dillards (which I don't normally shop because it's so overpriced, but the MJ's were the same price as online).

I got me a pair of the Rx because I have so many problems with my feet....and I have to say that hands down these are the most comfortable shoes I've worn in YEARS. I would normally have had to bring at least 3 pairs of shoes for WDW because usually I can only wear one pair of shoes for a day or two and then have to change out or suffer blisters.....and we've been here at WDW for 17 days and I've ONLY worn my crocs. They're not pretty, but heck, for comfort I don't care! And.....it appears that they are very much "in style" which is not words normally associated with anything "I" wear. Not only here at WDW, but everywhere else we've been in Florida I'm seeing tons of people wearing them....not necessarily my style of crocs, but then I kinda like mine better than the ones with all the holes in them. I'm not one to want a jibbitz, so I'm fine with my style having no jibbitz holes.

All I can say is ya gotta try them....and be sure you're trying the real thing. The knock offs all feel like plastic, but real crocs aren't at all plasticy feeling.

ebay is the placeto go or check out some of the signatures for ebay id's

Love the fabric!

what date does Mardi Gras Start!! Love the dress

Love the required pic! oh sadly DL does not have a minnie sewing machine?
Lori

DL had a Minnie house with a sewing machine (though I don't recall the flowing piece of fabric) in 2006 when we were there. Not sure if they've changed it or something? I didn't bring our DL photos on this trip, so I can't post them until we get back next month.

Crocs are pretty ugly, but very comfortable. Of course you need to find that style that best fits your own foot. The Mary Janes work best on my foot as the original styles are just too wide an my foot slops around in them. The Mary Janes are narrower and look more like a normal shoe. I hear there are Minnie Janes available in the parks now. The Mary Jane style with Mickey Head holes instead of the plain round holes. The only problem with the Mickey Head shaped holes is that the jibbitz fall out.

Here I sit at 5 AM because I woke up at 2:30 AM with a million ideas for sewing projects and I haven't been able to get back to sleep yet. I think I'm in for a long day tomorrow.

I am so sorry i am awake and would rather be awake because of sewing ideas than a very miserable 2 yr old ...:sad1: i like my Mary jane crocs ...:lovestruc

You can solve this problem by going to the local hardware store and buying a rubber gasket the size of the jibbitz....put the gasket on the INSIDE of the shoe, but the jibbitz through the mickey head and through the gasket. Now the gasket will hold the jibbitz in, and for most styles of jibbitz, you won't be able to see the gasket as the entire mickey head hole will be covered. I did this for the girls' regular size holes because I'd read so many people complaining about the jibbitz falling out even on regular holes. At $3-4 each I don't want to be losing these babies....I'm too cheap.

Well hopefully in the next year they bring some other styles out over here in New Zealand so I can have a wee looksie.

It's just on midnight here but I know what you mean about all the ideas in your head floating around. No sewing today from me though - I did however finish my knitting - a pair of ballet slipper socks for a friends DD :) Now I want a pair :)

On the twin comment-she may have, we don't know.
I took a quick look at your trip report. I think we saw you at the gate of Epcot on the first. Looks like we were there the same day. I think I remember seeing your girls Minnie dot skirts.:confused3

I knew it!!!!!!!!!! Do you remember what your dd was wearing? We went to Epcot from CM and they did have on their Minnie outfits.

OMG that Ariel top is adorable!!! I have that pillowcase, but had no idea what to do with it, I have an idea now ;). Try washing it and using fabric softener. I don't know what else. Your AK outfit is very cute too! I found a new shop yesterday that had loads of different fabric that would be perfect for AK... now to plan the outfit and go back to shop!!

I still have a wintery wreath above my mantle. I think I'm gonna keep it up for a while though. The tree has been down for several weeks, though.

When I read your post, I realized that I still have a Christmas rug in my kitchen!!! I thought I had it all put away.

I love the mirror pic!!! She's a doll! I'm going to have to show dd8 that if Jayden can wear customs, so can she! She thinks she's getting too old for them

Yay!! You can stay in the club! So cute... I bought that fabric today to make dgs something. Your kids are so cute!

Cute, as usual ;) We got tons of comments on dd2's Nemo outfit too, one CM let us go in the VIP entrance at the Nemo ride because she loved it so much.

Love the Cinderella outfit! Did you make that?

Funny! That happened to us at BBB, someone was searching for the outfits my dds had on, then finally came to ask us where we bought them! They were astounded when I told them I made them ... if you had shown me a year ago and said I made them, I would've been stunned too!!!

It's about time!!! Just kidding, those pics are great and your dd is so cute! How dare Goofy cover your applique, don't they know the custom rules! :)

That sounds just like me. Although I have been wearing my crocs all winter also.

Crocs are all I wear! Their not 'crocs', but they are Skechers and I love them. I put on some sneakers the other day, and I thought my feet were going to suffocate!! LOL

Ok, I'm going to ask once again. WHERE IS THE ORIGINAL THREAD? It was stated that it would be back in 24 hours. It has been well over 48 hours. The thread has not been reposted. Where is it?

Yesterday morning I requested that a MOD respond. I even reported my own post that contained the question to a MOD. No one has resonded to me. Not even "forget it, it's not coming back."

When is it coming back? Is it coming back? Could you please just respond to the questions? Anything.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you!

:snooty: Really is wasn't my fault. Jacob was the strangest, most well-behaved baby in the world. I just didn't realize it then. When I took Megan in for her checkup at 18 mos., I asked if she could be autistic because she wouldn't let me brush her teeth and hair and I had to physically hold her down with my knee to get the car seat buckled. He laughed at me and said she is a toddler, look out! I really didn't know if both of us were going to make it out alive for those 3 years!

It looks perfect to me! The pea is my favorite. I would really just draw Junior's mouth on with a sharpie, but I am kind of lazy. When I'm done, I'm done. Your little model looks very cute from the back. Maybe we will try to see the movie today (cross fingers).

I love it! The Aristocats was one of my favorite movies and I used to play it with my stuffed animals. I can't wait to see what you make with it.

So more questions from the newbie ....

Is there anything else I need to get addicted too :rolleyes1

1) I make all my stuff comfy enough to wear all day. I make enough for my girl to wear something each day and a couple of family matching shirts for all of us. The boys I really have to talk into it, so I only make a few for them.

2) My daughter has a couple of shoes that will go with most everything (pink mickey head crocs and sneakers/sandals). They may not go with everything exactly, but comfort is more important in my opinion.

Haven't been to DL since I was 3 so I can't help you with that one. Isn't it pretty nice all year round? Good luck sewing!

I thought you have made twirl skirts before? So you've bought them and made the ribbon t-shirts? So confused!

Anyway, I love it! Megan does too. She already told me that I need to make her one so she can wear it to Crystal Palace when we go in March. I haven't even made ADRs, so I'd better get going. Where do you find the storybook fabric? Is is with the other licensed stuff?

So cute! I remember Cinderella's working dress! On the minnie one, is she wearing a pettiskirt underneath to make it poof like that? And that tink one is just too cute!

I am so excited!! I just got this fabric in the mail today from "the site that shall not be named!". I paid way too much for it, but I've tried to get it for some months. Kirsta has had 3 variations of the Blue cinderella fabric for her special dress with Cinderella and this is new and different!!

That is really darling fabric. I remember last year's Cinderella dress and it was great so you have your work cut out for you to make it even better (I know you can do it!). :cheer2:
