Thanks for sharing these great pictures! Norah looks absolutely adorable all ready for the show! All the girls look cute in their Hannah Montana gear! Too funny about :woohoo: ing over the loin cloths :rotfl:.

Teresa and I are taking all the little girlies (courtesy of my mother) to the Hannah Montana movie on Tuesday. Your pics got me excited about it!

Today I was working on the second V.D. set :lovestruc and the other thing I have been doing is a little secret research....Disney style of course!

I think I may have planted a little seed (of hope) on a Disney vacation. Its a long way off but I am hoping/planning on Nov of 2009????!!!!! :confused3
We would go with another family and share a house for 9 nights....count em....9!!!!! Here's our house :cool1:
http://www.themagicorlandorental.com/palace.html

Its obnoxiously Disney and quite close by...I've actually been there (Windsor Hills). And a home away from home is very appealing to all of us! :cloud9:

So we shall see if this ever happens....I am trying not to get my hopes up! :cool2:

That place is AWESOME!! Have you stayed there before?

I was SOOOO sad when I thought our thread had disappeared :guilty: I know I am mostly a lurker. I mean let's face it, I don't really know how to sew so I can't offer much advice on anything other than dog training which is way off topic :lmao: but it was ALL of you that inspired me to learn how to sew! DH did buy me a Disney Brother SE270D which has been sitting on my dining room table taunting me and daring me to learn how to use it  I am scared of it and the manual doesn't help matters  So, when I thought our thread and all of you were gone I panicked :scared1: and I was moping around thinking , now what am I gonna do :confused3 Oh I am so happy I found everyone again :grouphug: All righty then...I am going to go initiate another staring contest with my machine :3dglasses I am going to learn this blasted thing today :teacher: and I am only stopping for the most important thing on tv later...COMMERCIALS :happytv:

A Big Hello to you!! I'm glad you found us...have to tell you though you can get 40 pages behind by taking a short bathroom break...:lmao:

hi! i just finished looking thru the photobucket link. i wondered if anyone has made any ariel customs? i didn't see any posted. dd is dancing to "part of your world" for her solo this year in dance, and i'd love to have a custom designed for her. i'm no good with coming up with ideas, so i was looking there for inspiration. can anyone help?

I made a costume for DD5 last year.. I used green scale fabric I found at Joanne's to make a skirt and then used shimmer green fabric for the tail and scales around the waist. I had the tail like a ruffle around the bottom of the skirt around her feet. You could make a stuffed one to drag behind her. Then I found a peach colored shirt and glued real shells to it around her **** area. Got some red hair spray and she was good to go. Of course I can't find a picture of it, but I think you get the idea?

UtahMama(me), Spongemommie, and Jham (Jhammie) and our girls went to the Hannah Montana concert/movie last night. They have tons of pics too. NO, we didn't make any outfits since it's FREEZING cold. So I think we all went to Walmart for cute outfits since that seems to be Hannah Montana Central these days!

We went to the Mayan Restaurant first which has a Tiki-Room, Lion King, meets Indiana Jones (the ride) queue vibe to it.

Don't know when I've had more fun!!!!!

Hardly any of my photos turned out non-blurry, so I hope there's turned out. Here's some of the kids (mostly Norah...sorry :lovestruc )

Wow what an AWESOME night!!!! And my little Norah looking all grown up in her Hannah Montana hair!!!! What a cutie pie!! Glad you enjoyed the movie so much! Geee I wonder if its too late to find out about it around here?? Hmmmm...perhaps I will take a little look-see later today. :confused3

I've

I can't help but remember what VD stood for back when I was in school! :rotfl2:

That house is FANTASTIC!!!!!! I LOVE the princess bedroom and the master bedroom with that huge canopy bed!

If you don't care about the Disney theming, you can get a house similar in size for less than 1/2 the price! Teresa and I are renting 5 bedroom/ 3 bath houses for $500/week (plus taxes and cleaning fees).
I think for our first time, we really want the Disney theming. After staying once...perhaps we will go more economically. I think split it comes to $1000 for 10 days. Which is $100 a day!!! :cool1: For a whole house, real kitchen, private pool and hot tub and private on-room suites, private game room and then a whole huge onsite pool and playground. :woohoo: Oh don't listen to me...I am way too excited...I can't sleep!

That place is AWESOME!! Have you stayed there before?
Tina, I haven't stayed in that particular villa but I did stay in the three bedroom three bath condos. They were absolutely awesome and part of the reason I returned (after a 10 year hiatus) to Disney to become my present :mickeyjum Disney-Fanatic-Self!!

Well, aren't you Miss Fancy Pants? That's so cool, I didn't even realize I could do spell-check on here. I'm sure most of you realized that I don't use it! :lmao:

I hope you didn't put away your laundry yet! I was going to get you a "laundry is still on the dryer" ticker! :rotfl2:

I can't spell to save my life so I use it on every post. I consistently spell the same words wrong and it drives me crazy!

Well, last night I had to wash Jacob's soccer jersey, so I folded the clothes in the dryer so I could dry it, but never fear, they are still sitting in the basket but at least they are folded!

Cute! It looks like they had a great time! When did Norah's hair get so long?

I can't help but remember what VD stood for back when I was in school! :rotfl2:

The photobucket site is a little hard to navigate. We're thinking of making a few less categories, so there's less clicking. What does everyone think of that?

This sent me into a fit of giggles!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
It's true, but such a funny way to phrase it! You cracky me up!

1) I think that too whenever I see VD!
2) It is hard to navigate but I don't see how less categories would be easier. I don't know!
3) I am jealous of those who can get their little girl's hair into those bows and they stay on. I fix Megan's hair every morning but it is thick and fine and whatever I put in usually falls out lunchtime.

I'm glad you found us again! We'll here to cheer you on! :cheer2:

Ok, this was my first time with CarlaC'S a-line jumper. I bought the fabric at the end of last summer really cheap. This is the before picture. After this we went to Jacob's soccer game and she got mud on her knees. If I can't get it out, I guess I'll have to add some patches to cover. I was so mad!

This is very cute. Love her pose too.
This style would be great with the top in minnie dot and the bottom as black with minnie dot trim.

so whom is sewing during the super bowl and whom is watching?

Sewing! I don't know who's playing and I didn't even know it was the superbowl this weekend until my 4th grader told me. My husband is staying home and watching it and he is really good about playing with the girls while he does. They love "watching sports" with daddy so I should get some good sewing time in!

Steph - that outfit is soo cute! I love te yellow with the top! What pattern did you use for the pants? I may have to go check out that a-line top pattern!

BTW - I laughed over the "Emily has the cutest head" comment too!

Oh man, I thought I was going crazy trying to find the old thread. I'm so glad I found this one but with over 120 pages, I'm going to have to accept that I'll never get caught up. Hopefully people will remember me since I feel I was gone so long! I needed to get back here because it's official - we're going to Disneyland in May. We don't have the specific dates or reservations yet but both sisters & brothers-in-law plus a few of their adult kids have committed to the trip. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to make all new outfits for Zoe or just have her wear the ones she has. So far she hasn't been to Disney in any of them but it's so tempting to make all new. I guess a lot will depend on how much time I find to sew for her.

Oh, I so understand your feeling about the mud. Zoe did that on Christmas day to jeans I'd appliqued and a new hoodie. I think I used 4 or 5 different products to get the spots out. Eventually the applique came out looking good but the spots on the hoodie never came out completely. I think your idea to add patches is a good one. Depending on where the spots are and how big, you might even just need to applique a butterfly or two from the red print.

I used the sewing for dummies pattern, the one with the twirly skirt and the peasant top. I am really pleased at how quick and easy the jumper was. She got lots of compliments from the moms at the soccer game!

OOOOH! I love love love it! Those colors are great for her, too. Beautiful job! A-lines are such a nice break from ruffly twirl skirts, aren't they? Thanks so much for sharing!

In the image code, you type th_ in front of the actual name of the picture that is at the end of the code before the end quote.

I hope I explained that right!

Heather has a tutorial for this on the first page as well. Probably better explained than mine!

Oh good! I was wondering about that myself! :)
