Oh she just loves it! She couldn't stop twirling around. :goodvibes When she wears it to WDW she'll have white jean capris to wear with it and some super cute ribbon bow flops that I made. (She doesn't know that of course since our trip is a surprise.) I'm going to have the the photo guys do the magic tinkerbell picture with her.

Have fun on your trip! I love love love what you've made for your little ones.

Do you know what size this top was made to? I am trying to decide if I can get enough face on one before I cut the pillowcase. Thanks!

so whom is sewing during the super bowl and whom is watching?

I am sewing! I don't care a thing about professional football!

UtahMama(me), Spongemommie, and Jham (Jhammie) and our girls went to the Hannah Montana concert/movie last night. They have tons of pics too. NO, we didn't make any outfits since it's FREEZING cold. So I think we all went to Walmart for cute outfits since that seems to be Hannah Montana Central these days!

We went to the Mayan Restaurant first which has a Tiki-Room, Lion King, meets Indiana Jones (the ride) queue vibe to it.

Don't know when I've had more fun!!!!!

Hardly any of my photos turned out non-blurry, so I hope there's turned out. Here's some of the kids (mostly Norah...sorry :lovestruc )

I was SOOOO sad when I thought our thread had disappeared :guilty: I know I am mostly a lurker. I mean let's face it, I don't really know how to sew so I can't offer much advice on anything other than dog training which is way off topic :lmao: but it was ALL of you that inspired me to learn how to sew! DH did buy me a Disney Brother SE270D which has been sitting on my dining room table taunting me and daring me to learn how to use it  I am scared of it and the manual doesn't help matters  So, when I thought our thread and all of you were gone I panicked :scared1: and I was moping around thinking , now what am I gonna do :confused3 Oh I am so happy I found everyone again :grouphug: All righty then...I am going to go initiate another staring contest with my machine :3dglasses I am going to learn this blasted thing today :teacher: and I am only stopping for the most important thing on tv later...COMMERCIALS :happytv:

Glad you finally found us! I think we still have some that are MIA!

Ok, this was my first time with CarlaC'S a-line jumper. I bought the fabric at the end of last summer really cheap. This is the before picture. After this we went to Jacob's soccer game and she got mud on her knees. If I can't get it out, I guess I'll have to add some patches to cover. I was so mad!

th_100_2232.jpg

Too cute! This looks adorable on Meagan!

Oh man, I thought I was going crazy trying to find the old thread. I'm so glad I found this one but with over 120 pages, I'm going to have to accept that I'll never get caught up. Hopefully people will remember me since I feel I was gone so long! I needed to get back here because it's official - we're going to Disneyland in May. We don't have the specific dates or reservations yet but both sisters & brothers-in-law plus a few of their adult kids have committed to the trip. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to make all new outfits for Zoe or just have her wear the ones she has. So far she hasn't been to Disney in any of them but it's so tempting to make all new. I guess a lot will depend on how much time I find to sew for her.

Glad you found us too!

Good morning ladies (well it's morning here anyway :) ) Lovely outfits as usual :)

I was lying in bed last night thinking..... I have 2 girls, 14 days in anaheim with a 14 day disneyland pass, and a week in hawaii - so that is about 21 days in total and a girl can't be seen in the same outfit twice sooo..... I wonder if I need to make 42 custom outfits  :cool2:

Luckily I have about 20months to do it - so just over 2 outfits a month. Gee better get my bum into gear lol :)

I would go insane trying to make that many outfits for a trip!

Yes, they are! Since you asked, here is a shameless post of the babies! Enjoy!

skipperpups5wks.jpg

Those are some of the cutest puppies I have ever seen!

Ok, I'm needing ideas. SOmething is missing from these dresses, any ideas? There is actually 2 of each.

th_P1020805.jpg

One thing that I have seen people do with these dresses is add bows to wear the t-shirt and skirt meet. Or like someone else said cut out a square and applique it to the chest.

OK, Here is my first attempt at posting photos on the DIS and my first contribution to the DISboutique!

Backstory - DD9 wanted to learn how to sew for Girl Scouts so I figured it was time to teach her!

Here are her PJ pants that she made herself (her first project)! She picked the fabric herself.

I wonder if there is any chance we could have the old thread temporarily so we could copy and paste info from the thread before we lose it forever.
I have been trying to find the posts that I have linked to from the bookmarks by doing a Google search, the old thread comes up, but I haven't had much luck finding the EXACT posts I want. I am working on it though! Of course, if they would give me just an HOUR with the old thread, it would save me DAYS of work! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...................

If you don't care about the Disney theming, you can get a house similar in size for less than 1/2 the price! Teresa and I are renting 5 bedroom/ 3 bath houses for $500/week (plus taxes and cleaning fees).

I don't think they are adding a cleaning fee on since we are staying a week. These houses have a private pool and game room too. We are so exctied!! Heather's house is right across the street from our house. It is going to be fun!
Here's what our houses look like:
http://dolphinvillaflorida.com/

The other house had a website, but they are redoing it, basically, it looks just like this one, but without the dolphin in the pool!

I was happy to find out that we have wifi in the house too!

If anyone ever does do the rental house thing, make sure you email them and ask for a lower price, everyone I emailed for our houses this year came down quite a bit from the prices they actually had listed!

:) Could you change your link though, so that it doesn't take us to the mobile Photobucket account? There are directions in the first post of this thread to show you how to post the pictre. :)

If anyone is trying to figure out how to get out of the mobile Photobucket account now, just click on the link in the lower left corner, and all will be right again!

Oh, I so understand your feeling about the mud. Zoe did that on Christmas day to jeans I'd appliqued and a new hoodie. I think I used 4 or 5 different products to get the spots out. Eventually the applique came out looking good but the spots on the hoodie never came out completely. I think your idea to add patches is a good one. Depending on where the spots are and how big, you might even just need to applique a butterfly or two from the red print.
Who are you again???? :confused3 :confused3

:welcome: and GREAT job!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

This is the exact reason I haven't done my pillowcase dresses yet either. I am soooo afraid that I will have to cut off too much of the face for the bodice.

I thought the same thing. However, I found a pillow panel at waldamort yesterday. I think others have used it. The princesses are a little smaller. I think those will be better for the smaller kiddos.

Woops! I was talking to my husband's friend, and then forgot to comment on your pictures!! I was trying to talk sense into him about someone he's dating, but he isn't listening to me! :headache:

OOOH!!!! Norah looks so cute!!! I love the way you did her hair!! I'm hoping I will be able to do somethign with Arminda's hair before we go. I have to pick her up right from school though so we will make it in time. Maybe I can do her hair in the bathroom of the school! She's going to have to change her clothes too......

That restaurant looks really really cool!!! We don't have nuttin' like that 'round these parts!

The aforementioned friend of my husband's took some girls to see this yesterday, and even HE liked it! I can't wait to see it!

ETA: I just showed the girls your pictres, and they were so excited!!!

Megan said to say: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I guess she liked it!

:goodvibes Glad she liked it!!!

Oh she looks ADORABLE!!!!!!! How fun!!!!

I've had a couple of people PM me for the "recipe"(you'll see why that's in quotes in a minute), so I'll post it on here, too.

I'm not sure on the exact proportions, so I'll just tell you what she did. She put some dry oatmeal in the blender until it was about the consistency of flour. Then, she just used that in place of flour in her pizza dough recipe! She just dissolved the yeast in water and added the oatmeal "flour". It didn't really rise, but she wasn't sure if that was because the yeast was too old. She then rolled it onto a pizza pan (about 1/4 inch thick) and cooked it at 350 for 13 minutes. She took it out of the oven and topped it with a homemade pizza sauce (don't know what was in it besides tomato paste and some seasonings) then topped it with veggies and just a smidge of parmesan cheese. She cooked it about 5 minutes more. Voila! Core pizza!

Wow, that sounds easy enough!!! Thank you!!! I might just have to try that!!!

I'm glad you found us...have to tell you though you can get 40 pages behind by taking a short bathroom break...:lmao:

Love them all! Sparkle fabric is so cool. I so need a daughter!!!

Heather and I both just made Ariel customs, with the same pillowcase from Wal Mart. I used tutti fruitti fabric on sale from JoAnn's and Heather used pretty sparkly fabric. Here is mine:

ok everyone. I have to catch up here on the thread. went to a crazy super bowl party last night, and am just feeling better now! oh noy, will share soon! I will be reading here and then start quoting.

What do you guys think about putting all the important information (i.e. instructions, ideas, ...etc) into a website or something similar (maybe a blog type website???) so that way it won't be link to the original thread..and if they ever take away the thread again, we would have all the information stored somewhere else to go back to. If you let me know what kind of information everyone wants saved...I would be willing to take all those information and put it on a website for everyone to share. I am thinking something like blogger or maybe wordpress? What do you guys think?

Oh, just wanted to add if you guys think it is a bad idea, it won't hurt my feelings...just a suggestion.

I really like the Nemo fabric. I have never seen that fabric before. Maybe you can add an initial applique to the top? I also like the idea of a ribbon bow around the waist.

By the way...the absolute BEST time to go to Wal-Mart is during the game. It is so dead in there it is unbelievable. When we lived in a town with a Wal-Mart, it was sort of our tradition to go during the game.

Definately sewing!! I need to run over to Joann's to grab something before kick off!!!

She does have the cutest head! I love her face shape - I just want to pinch that adorable little chin!

Steph - that outfit is soo cute! I love te yellow with the top! What pattern did you use for the pants? I may have to go check out that a-line top pattern!

BTW - I laughed over the "Emily has the cutest head" comment too!
