Enchanted Princess - DEFINATELY DO NOT leave your house key and leave the builders to themselves. You need to supervise everything they do and plus questions will come up etc. I know it is tempting to think how nice it would be to have it all done. Also take the timeframe and expand it out some. Just my thoughts and opinions here. We havent had good "builder" experiences.:rolleyes1

On a lighter note....I absolutely love and adore your outfits you have planned. Seriously cute stuff there! ::yes:: :thumbsup2  Have a wonderful trip! :yay:

It took me a few hours to catch up....all three DD's recital is this weekend. I am up to my eyeballs trying to cope and keep track of everything. I will post pics soon though cause I am sure you all are dying to see the costumes!

Awesome outfits today everyone!! :thumbsup2

I think everyone has dance recital this weekend we had rehersal tonght and recital tomorrow. This is the first one for us. i will have to share costume pics too.

there is some on :wizard: at the moment. and some cute flannel

Thanks I checked it out and am watching a few things lol.

Okay, here is Lily's pre-shirred, pre-hemmed Minnie dress from Joanns. I did not adjust the length at all, just sewed it up and added ribbons. She inisited on wearing it even though it is FREEZING outside right now. Good thing we're not going anywhere! And please NO CASING this!!!!! ALL of my creative powers went into this one!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: (just to be sure, you know I'm all kidding, right?) And hey, it matches the purple purse she must carry everywhere!

I love this fabric! Does everyones Joanns have a lot of it? I am going to dallas next week hopefully it will still be there. :)

http://
My daughter has Beach day tomorrow and I've been eyeing this fabric for a while at Walmart. Decided to get it and made this today using TJ's gathering method. It will be for our cruise as well.
Another question. I was on :wizard: and saw customs made out of beach towels. Has anyone done this? Are they hot to wear? Guess I can add towels to the list of odd things to make customs out of. I even looked for a cute one at WalMart today with no luck. They had some cute bathroom towels with appliques though.

I love the fabric! I bought some a while back at Hancocks for DD. I paid to much for it though in comparison to Walmart. sigh.

Hey Callie...you are an angel for doing what you do. I will be praying that all works out for you and your family. Major hugs to you!!

So sweet but it is nothing different than what you do. ;) Hope things are going well with your little prince!

I finally got Violette into the pooh outfit....um yea...this is the best I could do, she just wants to run around..hehehe...hopefully that's clear enough :) I just pinned the shorts because I don't want to put an elastic in them til it's time to go to Disney. But I'm thinking I might add another ruffle to the bottom instead and make it a dress. What do you think?
th_004-3-1.jpg
Absolutely precious! Love that fabric!

Aunt Update!

She is HOME!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I just talked to my Uncle and he told me she is sleeping on the couch right now:thumbsup2

I am SO glad to hear that! :goodvibes

SO, I had a sudden trip to Dallas come up! I'm going tomorrow to meet with a bride and mom of a wedding I'm coordinating. SO, before I meet with them, I GET TO GO TO JOANN'S! WOO HOO! That's reason to celebrate!:cool1: :cool1:

When you add a ruffle to say a shirt bottom how big to you make it? Twice the size of what you're adding the ruffle to or more?

I'm thinking of making a simply sweet top with just a ruffle on the bottom. Like the red one on the cover of the e-Book. I think from scanning it quick the pattern calls for twice a big.

Thanks!

Teresa and Heather,

I have been a part of the Disboards for many years. I don't post very often, but I am always online reading the Disboards. I'm not sure if anyone has ever told you how much that you are appreciated for all the hard work you have done with The Bookmarks, and The Photobucket account. I know how time consuming it is to keep this information current. I don't think I have ever known anyone, let alone two sisters so willing to help people that they have only known through the Disboards Families thread. Your mom should be very proud of both of you, she has raised you both very well. Please don't stop doing what you do!!!

THANK YOU TERESA AND HEATHER:cheer2: :cheer2:

Marianne
I wanted to echo that statement. You guys do a fantastic job and are very much appreciated. I dont have much to add, but i uploaded a few pics to the new photobucket page. It was so great to log on to it for the first time and see so many pictures.

HI All! This is a dress that I made Lexie this morning. I bought Minnie and Mickey fabric from Malaysia and had never used it. So today I dragged it out and cut out the Minnie and Mickey. Lexie told me what she wanted. I wanted to use some yellow, but she said no...:confused3

I had really wanted to just use the Minnie and make a pink dot skirt to match Minnie's skirt, but in light of all of the discussions...LOL that we had last weekend, I decided since someone recently used pink dot, I decided not to. Sad huh?

I LOVE this one!!! Great job

There have been so many great things lately! You guys are a great source of inspiration, Thank you

We got the blood rest results on Oscar back on Tuesday. It was kind of good news. All of his tests were normal so they are thinking that he probably has epilepsy. The vet wants us to chart when he has seizures and their duration. Hopefully they won't be too frequent or last for too long (apparently seiuzures raise their body temp. and if they last for longer than 6 minutes he can get dangerously hot for brain functions). His first seizure was only about a minute (although it seemed like an eternity to me). If they are too frequent we have to take him to a neurologist who will do an MRI on him to make sure it is epilepsy and not a brain tumor. There is medication for epilepsy but the vet doesn't want him on it yet. Apparently the phenylbarbitol (I probably misspelled that) makes their liver function increase and the excrete the medication before it gets a chance to work completely and then they need to increase the dosage and the cycle continues. So best case scenario is that he has short seizures very infrequently (if ever again). Silly mutt making his Mom worry like this! He's my baby and I'm just glad he is okay. I was a mess when I took him to the Vet on Saturday! Crying in the office holding him on the floor. We must have looked like a pair to the vet! A hugely pregnant woman with a 230 pound dog laying across her on the floor :rotfl2: while crying! So even though this isn't perfect news, it is welcome news and I can handle this! Thanks so much for all of your prayers!

I was hoping she'd get a new princess dress for her bear but apparently it has switched gender again and is a boy again. I'm probably going to have to get the bear in therapy, he's probably very confused right now, he started as a boy, then was a girl and now is a boy again. Poor guy. Fickle preschooler. :lmao:

:rotfl2: I thought my daughter was the only one that did this! LOL We were just talking about it today. She's 3. She has a blue hippo webkins. She named it King Louie Bluey....a boy. BUT he wears a dress!!!!!! LOLOLOL

I'm working on two of the preshirred tops. I got them at walmart. A tink one and an ariel one. I just have to put the straps on. The girls are wearing them to school in the morning. I'll have pics tomorrow. I've got to finish up the teacher gifts. Koozies. I've got one done and I'm about to put the other one in the hoop to embroider. Nighty night!

Aww, poor pup. Mine has had a couple of seizures too so I know how you feel. Feel free to PM me with any questions regarding phenobarb and other treatments - I have a ton of info on the subject.

I'm using a sheet for my applique for my BIG GIVE outfit. So I would say go ahead and use the pillow case. I already messed up on part of it and am now trying to redo it. The whole piece that I had needs to be thrown away, because there is no way it can be saved. It looks horrible.
Awww, I bet it is not that bad?? You make such cool things!!!! So cute!

So sweet but it is nothing different than what you do. ;) Hope things are going well with your little prince!
Thanks Callie....! However, I think a baby is a tad bit easier than a 4 year old. Hahaha....he can't talk yet, though I think he is trying!!! Hahahaha. He is just too stinkin' cute, I love him to pieces!!!

Hey BIG GIVERS - Alicia wanted me to pass on the link to her Pre-Trip Report. She said she will be posting pictures of Isabelle in all her Big Give outfits on there!!! (Ohh I can't wait to see Isabelle in all of them). I highly recommended she NOT stalk the DisBoutique thread for awhile, if she wanted to be surprised when the outfits arrived. :rotfl2:

Anyway...here is the link for those interested:

I found some Princess fabric (not disney but cute) I really wanted to make 2 Halter dresses for the girls but the only pattern I found was for a halter top and short set. and the dress option is a pillowcase dress which Kaitlyn already has I will post pics tomorrow. I have it in my head the halter top with Grosgrain ribbon to attach to bodice, then a simple skirt.

LORI!!! I just had to post to tell you what Brian said! When he got home last night, I was looking at your Fancy Nancy outfit, but I really didn't think he noticed (it was just Ella in her outfit, he couldn't see the book). At the library today, Lydia picked out that Fancy Nancy book. When we got home, she had Brian read it to her. About halfway through the book he stops, looks at me and says,
"HEY! This little girl is wearing an outfit that looks EXACTLY like that one that was on the internet last night!" I told him that that is what you were trying to do, and he told me to tell you that he thought it looked PERFECT and then he said, "Wow!"

Aw, that's so nice of him to say! If your DH is anything like mine, him noticing that is a HUGE compliment, so you'll have to thank him for me!

My daughters teddy is called Mr. Bear, but has a variety of outfits and earrings..LOL

I haven't seen Jurassic Park fabric, but they do have dinosaur fabric at Walmart. It isn't babyish at all, it looks like realistic dinosaurs.

Great Idea!! as long as the Jurassic Park symbol is in the shirt that should do, right????? I'll check it out!! Thanks so much!! Wendy:)

Vegas is back to being a girl today. Delaney picked out a Cinderella dress, shoes, and a Hannah Montana t-shirt instead of getting another bear (thank goodness, we are over run with stuffed animals.)

I think Vegas will have an exciting trip to Disney and she/he has a few outfits to wear. Now I just have to finish sewing.

Thank you for letting us know about the pre-TR. I will definitely be following along with her story. Sewing for other people is such a personal thing for me - which is why I haven't made anything for strangers yet (also because I am not so secure in my sewing abilities). I will appreciate knowing a bit more about Alicia, Isabella and her husband as I sew for Isabella.

Glad to hear good news.  Don't worry about crying. I think the vets see it a lot when their patients are sick.

When I took my schnauzer in to get her blood sugar tested and it was really high I started crying too. She is improving and her sugars aren't as high. Which reminds me it is almost time for her insulin. But knowing she has a chronic illness makes me sad.
