“Official” 2025 Hurricane/TD/Weather thread for the 2025 hurricane season

If landfall is imminent, an official track will be made. Until then it’s possible Humberto could move it further from the coast. If that doesn’t happen, it could head to the Carolinas. So much is up in the air and unknown.

Here’s what Denis had on his social 4 hours ago.

“Overnight Tropical Update:

1. What will become Imelda will impact the Carolinas next Monday-Thursday. Yes, 3 days. Why?

2. Looks like it stalls out, just offshore. Decent chance it's a hurricane, but major rainmaker either way. Euro is forecasting 12 to 24 inches of rain.

3. All boils down to the relationship between Humberto and Imelda. (Sounds like a soap opera). Humberto will stay WELL offshore, but could coax Imelda to stay far enough off the coast to limit hurricane conditions. Still, the rain remains.

4. Cruisers to the Bahamas will have a pretty rough go of it Sunday-Monday night. Doubt they cancel, but definitely rough waters.

5. No impacts on the Bay Area and little on the 1st Coast.

6. If you're concerned about travel to the Carolinas from Monday on...you should be. I would expect some weather related delays even if it never moves onshore. As always, updates 24/7.”

My oldest ds and his wife leave tomorrow for Cozumel and the Bahamas. They still aren’t a bit worried. But I am for them. When he was little he’d get sea sick on a calm day.

I'll be watching. I have to go to East TN to get DS on Friday (might leave Thurs night,) and I really can't drive in the rain. I don't see well, and I'm already stressed about this long drive. Then we'll be driving down to Orlando on Friday afternoon, and the bulk on Saturday, so I'm very concerned about how rainy it might be for all of this.
We were also there last year for Milton, At Boardwalk, top floor, and had a lot of rain come under the door in the bedroom, about a third of the room's floor was soaking wet, maintenance did help
While Disney took wonderful, wonderful care of guests, it totally changed our plans, and I hope to not be there during something like that again. Also, our HHN night was almost completely rained out. While you can do all of the houses, the 5 scare zones, which is a big part of the experience, are empty, no scare actors. We only have 1 night's chance at HHN, so just moving nights is not an option.
But right now, I'm more concerned about the drive down and how much rain we'll have.....

Looks like the storm, if it continues along the forecasted path, will be well gone by the time you start your drive.
