So here's some pictures from Disney!

This is the girls at the hotel room - they have no idea where they are going.
IMG_0503.jpg

Here they are on the Monorail - still no clue.
IMG_0504.jpg

Here we are on the carosuel. They were so excited that they were going to the PPP, especially that they were going together. (Yes that is Belle on Cinderella's horse!)
IMG_0505.jpg

Here's my DD5 dancing with Sebastian. She's the one in the white Giselle dress with the matching white bridal ears that she had to wear. "This is Giselle's wedding dress, Mom!"
IMG_0509.jpg

Here they are at the end of the night - yeah it's about 1am and we're being thrown out of the MK. You can see the castle in the background.
IMG_0535.jpg

This was them trying to be GLAMOUROUS!
IMG_0537.jpg

Sorry about the back and forth.

OK newbie here! I don't really sew, but have a $500+ Pfaff machine my mom bought me when I got married that I have been using for the past 12 years to "repair" and I have made some simple valances. But I am sure I could get by with her help.

I have admired your work on various other threads and on e bay, but here's the deal: DD turns four in June and wants to have a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party, so I would like to make her an outfit that she could then where on our October trip.

Need help, any suggestions for a "simple" pattern? I am thinking a two piece something or other, I love the cropped pants with the ruffles on the bottom, I actually really like the ruffled one at the top of this page or the previous page.

Also, where do you get the "Mickey/Minnie" red and white dot fabric? Is that available at JoAnns or is there some place special I would need to get that?

Thanks

This is for everyone that posted pics today. I love everything!!!! Every outfit is just too pretty.

I love the pics of the princesses from WDW. You guys look like you were having a good time. Me and Jenna plan on staying at the PPP until they drag us out. :lmao:

I am so glad that you did this! I wanted to see all the stuff you had done. You guys are going to have sooo much fun and get soooo much attention! Everything looks GREAT!

Welcome!! I think the ruffled halter I posted would be adorable in the Minnie dot fabric! You could pair it with a pair of denim capris with a matching ruffle on the cuff. Ebay might be the easist place to find the Minnie dot. I don't think any stores are really carrying it now.

Here's another idea - It's a storybook skirt. It comes as a kit to make a soft/cloth book. It comes in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! You just cut it apart and sew it into a type of stripwork skirt. I did a Pooh Bear one.

Day 1, Magic Kingdom:
Tessa and Sawyer:

I love the Cinderella dress! DD just told me last night that she wants to wear the mice dress to 1900 park Fare for dinner. Did you use a pattern for it?

Ruffles, Ruffles, and More ruffles!!

This was made using the ruffled capris and ruffled halter from YCMT. DD wanted to wear it to ballet practice (they are in regular clothes and outside today). I wouldn't let her wear the capris. It's too cold here today - low 50's.

The pants gave me a bit of trouble. I'm hoping it was user error and not the pattern.

I made an outfit with that same fabric:

My daughter wore it for Easter! lol, Just thought I would share since we used the SAME exact fabrics! lol

I thought you and Teresa bought Minnie Dot fabric for matching shirts. Did that not work out? I was looking forward to seeing your "grown up" outfits.

Heather!!! Everything looks fantastic!! You did a wonderful job and should be super proud!!!!

newbie here! I absolutely love yalls outfits!! I have seen several ppl posting about the youcandothis tutorial and was wondering where to find it?? Also how simple is it to make a pillowcase dress?? Is this something that anyone could do?

LOVE this too! What fabric is it? Where did you find it?

HELP!
I have a problem. I have the Brother Costco version of the i6000. Something is seriously wrong! It appears to be a problem with the area that the bobbin sits. It's not spinning, but it's kinda turning when I attempt to sew. The needle keeps hitting a part of the bobbin casing thing, and won't sew. Does anyone know what's going on from the description? Is there anything I can do? help me please!

All this talk about bows so thought I should share a picture of what I got yesterday! I am going to use them to keep my hair pulled back in a pony tail, they work great!

Here is what I'll be wearing them with.

I never posted a picture of this shirt either. I am not sure what I think of it now. I might make the M bigger. At first I had it all in more minnie font, but changed it, but now the M looks too tiny.

th_bc95f3f7.jpg
I love the Minnie exactly how it is!!!

Ok, here is Arminda's Cinderella dress. She tried it on this morning before I put the sleeves on, and she looked pretty cute in it!

WOW! That is beautiful!!!!:worship:

We will be looking for you!! Can you come to the campfire on Thursday?
I would love to meet you guys but I don't think I'm up for the campfire. I'll be alone with DD(5) and was planning on hitting AK EMH that night-she really wants to try EE and I was thinking if that goes well earlier in the week we could try it out in the dark. I'll post my itinerary-maybe we could meet up elsewhere.

th_IMG_1441.jpg

And I finally finished the monsters Inc outfits. I psyched myself up this past week. I re-read the youcanmakethis tutorial on applique and re-read, and re-re-read HeatherSue's tutorial (which is the best, btw) and finally gave it a try. I feel pretty good about how they came out. I wish that I could have found a shade deeper thread, but that was the best that I could do.

Did you try changing the needle? It sounds like it might be bent. I don't have that machine it's just a guess.
