Believe me, we've tried the counseling thing...but she won't have it. It's a waste of money.

most likely he will get his party. I don't like it. I know he shouldn't. I know we should hire the worlds most BORING baby sitter and leave him at home, but our time with him is precious and if he is getting a 40 guest party next weekend, missing this one isn't going to do much to him at all. It will just prove the point that he is loved more elsewhere...as I'm sure that is what he will be told.

cuss words.

:headache:

My grandma had a cat called Possum!! We called him Poss! He was the fattest cat I have ever seen in my whole life! :lmao:

goodness...can you imagine a pageant queen saying "I was born and raised in Possum Kingdom!"

not so much...

:goodvibes

I'm sure it is so hard! I truly think though that once he gets older he'll understand that "love" doesn't mean you can walk all over us. He'll get that the love you have for him is a better love. Of course, that doesn't mean that he would understand if you got rid of his party though! I don't blame you at all for having it. That is just such a tough position that his Mom put you in. And to laugh about it is crazy! Hang tough!

Possum Kingdom was all over the news last night because of our bad weather and it just makes me laugh!

Yes... this does overlap MNSSHP. And it not only overlaps that, but also overlaps the time that we (DH and I) will be there!

Were at BCV's from the 6-13th.

THere seem to be lots of people that have trips planned. WHen is everyone going? We should see if we can meet up with each other for lunch or breakfast or something- that'd be fun!

I'm going to try and get customs made now before the new little one comes for our trip so I'm sure we will be recognizable since I'll post them (assuming I get off my rear end!). If you see us make sure and say hi!

That was me! Hi:wave2: thanks for the advice...:thumbsup2 But I have to know what is the kitchen sink?:confused3

If you are referring to the Kitchen Sink from Beaches and Cream it is an ice cream sundae served in a kitchen sink that serves about 6 people! I wish we had done it last trip and I'm determined to do it this trip!

Here are our new doll clothes. Hope you like them!

Same green fabric, different dress with bolero.

I had to fully line the dress because the fabric was so sheer but I like how it turned out!

Thanks!

Wow! Those are great! I especially love Julie's dress! We have Kit and Julie. I can not let DD see these! She will get mad at me because I haven't had time to make many doll clothes at all. :scared:

ok, going to try this again.......
Here is what I made today! It is a stroller caddy :)

That is cool Cindee, but you must include where you got the pattern or directions!

Oh, I remembered what #3 was from last night: I have never seen Titanic! Isn't that sad? I used to work at a movie theater when I was in college and saw every movie (bad and good) that came out for five years. I really don't like to watch any movies much any more, especially if they are long. I am kind of a movie snob that way.

Totally cute: great job! I love it.

Not at all. ;) I haven't done it yet; I guess it needs to be saturday. especially because her birthday is the 17th... and it has to be mailed.... I better get cracking...

Get cracking, LOL! :flower3:

STEPHANIE!!!!!!! That is EXACTLY what scares me the most!!!!! :sad1:

I know, poor me! One baby starting kindergarten one baby liking older women! What will I do!

You guys better STOP it! or I'm TELLING!

This is my little baby you are talking about! Look at that baby face, he doesn't have a crush on ANYONE! :snooty:
th_BabyCoreycrawling-1.jpg

Seriously though, wasn't he a gorgeous baby!

Aww, poor Teresa! Yes, it is hard when they go off to kindergarten, especially the baby, but it's fun too. And of course Corey is the cutest baby I have ever seen. Too bad he likes old princesses now (sorry, couldn't resist!).

As I was pinning, she decided to touch the iron! That is the worst sound ever! I think I heard her skin sizzle.:scared: I can't believe I did not turn it off!

I am so sorry. I'm glad it didn't blister though; I bet you will remember it long after she has forgotten about it.

Oh one totally OT question...DH has agreed that we will have one night to go out to eat at WDW just me and him:cool1: . My parents are going and they will be with the crew. So here is the question...give me some suggestions on where to eat. We have no planned time to go to DTD with the kids, so I was thinking somewhere over there might be good? Or would you suggest somewhere else? I am pretty sure we have no intention of going back in the parks. He won't be up for fancy and he hates fish. Any suggestions? :confused3

We like to go to The Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk when we have a date night. It's a nice (but not too fancy) restaurant that has more than just fish.

That is so cute: worth the wait!

AWWWW thank you!!! I snapped a pic JUST FOR YOU last night!!!

here's my baby...settling for the DOG bed b/c his mama was working too late!

Sally does actually have some boutique needs! MissCammie has got herself some IDEAS!!!! Shall I PM you?

Teddy actually needs a little prayer this morning...his birthday morning...yesterday he and a few of his partners in crime decided it would be a good idea to plug up FOUR bathroom sinks, turn on the sinks and leave the bathroom. They flooded the entire bathroom and a good part of the hallway. This is the fourth time in two weeks he's been in some actual trouble. AND he fibbed about it. Somebody thought it was funny when she was told what had happened. Laughed about it. In front of him. So now he is laughing about it and probably planning his next bit of naughtiness.

OH and Nurse CrabbyRump at the office was none to happy to see me this morning...rash is mostly gone...and it WAS the detergent...but she made a nasty face at me when i came in AND when she weighed me she told me that I looked unhealthy and being too thin is unattractive..

1) Megan asked if that was Sophie (the other doxie on this thread). I told her no, it was Miss Cammie's dog and she wants me to ask the name. Miss Cammie, what is the name of your adorable dog for Megan?

2) Yes, please pm me! You can check out my photobucket account if you want too. I was going to pm you, but I can't get on this computer lately!

3) Megan has been lying lately too. The rest mat that the boy tore up so I would make her a new one: she tore it up. The teacher told me yesterday. DH and I talked to her about it and she was not serious at all. She said she was sorry, but I don't think she was.

I hope things work out with Teddy and he straightens up at school. At least Megan is a beast at home and (mostly) well-behaved at school.

3) My mother received a lot of rude comments because she is thin. She even drank that horrible weight-gain shake and couldn't gain weight. People are so rude! :snooty:

Yay, we get to see it! It looks great, as does the Wendy dress. Great job!

No sewing for me yet. My dad is in the hospital with pneumonia so mom has been with him in the evenings. I am hoping maybe this weekend we will start in on one of the outfits. She is still teaching me the ropes so I am not brave enough to start in on my own. ;)

Hope your dad is better soon. Your countdown chain looks great!

UPDATE on the ruffled capris!!!

In response to YOUR feedback...

Kim is going to put together a greatly discounted bundle pack with all three sizes! Be on the lookout!!!

Thank you! Even though I haven't been posting, I echo the others' comments about the wide variety of sizes is part of what makes your patterns worth it to me. It is great that you are able to offer a bundle. Your new shirt looks great too!

Megan says Raven is sooooo cute!

Love the doll clothes, thanks for posting them. I love the fancy dresses, are they hard to do? I have been sticking to mostly simple things for the dolls.

ok, going to try this again.......

Love it! And it would be easily recognized in a sea of strollers! :thumbsup2

And I love the doll clothes. Forgot to quote and can't remember who made them. :(

I am so glad we have Abi-girl now! Finally! I can make little girl clothes and coordinating doll clothes! Well, almost. She is only five months old! *LOL*

Haven't been able to do that for about 20 years! :)

ok, going to try this again.......

I love this :) I may have to CASE it for my trip in September.

We'll be at the Beach Club from Sept 7-14th and will do MNSSHP on the 9th as soon as the tickets go on sale we plan to get some. Still trying to decide on cool comfy costumes for the monkeys to wear that night.

I just wanted to comment that I LOVE the name Dallas! I actually knew a family that named her kids after the towns they were born in. Dad was in sales and they lived all over. Their kids were: Houston, Odessa, Dallas, Abilene, and Austin. Abi was in my class and her sister Dessa was a year older. I always used to wonder what they would do had they lived in like...Marfa...or Nacogdoches...can you IMAGINE?

:rotfl2:
For me it wouldn't have been so bad. I was born in Alexandria. DH however was born in Jena and that's not a very boy name. My brother would have been named Crowley :sad2: .

That is too cute. I have that same fabric, but I plan on making an outfit with it. I wish that I would have had something like that when Jenna was younger.

Regarding New Look Pattern 6689 that many of you have made-this one..
6689.jpg

I see on several places on the patter it says seam allowance 3/8th inch
Did you alternate seam allowances as they suggest or sew the whole thing at 5/8 or 3/8?

Oh and just came across this patter- soo cute- I need to add this to my wish list- I could totally see this done in a cute asian fabric

I'm looking for an "A" and a "J" that would be suitable for appliqueing. Does any one have one about 6" tall. I could possibly go to the office and enlarge it if necessary.

SUPER CUTE!!! I love that!! Very inventive!!! Anything that will keep Diet Coke close at hand is a :thumbsup2 to me!!!

My pup's registered name is...*grand entry music* "Beauregard Jackson Biltmore III"

We call him Beau-Jack! Or BJ...

he's a good boy. we love him to pieces!! he's my best boy!

-something about this age gets kids started with the fibbing. Teddy is a TERRIBLE liar though so we can always tell. It's really gotten bad lately. STINKPOT!

-I would LOVE to see your photobucket account!!!:cool1:

-Your poor mama!! Those weight gain shakes are HORRID! Won't get me near one!!!

I'm mad at my husband. He's playing basketball tonight when he is supposed to be home sitting adoringly at my feet!

I'm so sad I may have to make a major purchase on the Discover Card!

What sizes are these I ask because I need size 1 ??

Melanie

Got my free dining ressie also!! I ended up adding 2 days to my trip to get the free dining. So we leave for Disney on 9/20 and come home on 9/29. And it was only a couple of hundred $$ more. I guess that means I need to add another custom to my list outifts?

We'll be there the same time! Our trip is 9/20 - 9/27. Right now, we're booked at Caribbean Beach. (Still have yet to update my siggy.)

Here they are! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE ENCOURAGEMENT. You were right - this pattern is easy. The sleeves - no problems! Can you tell I'm excited?

Heidi's dress has the lace on the bottom. I decided to put it in front as low as I could. I think it turned out fine. She's doing a ballet position with her hands. :confused3

DSC07982.jpg

I might add a green sash around Aleah's dress. There's just not a lot of room between the arm holes and the waistline. I'm still debating. She has a goofy expression (again).
DSC07983.jpg

Just because it's sweet.
DSC07984.jpg

I used a size 5 for both girls. I think the waist it a bit high. Did anyone else have this problem?

Chantell

I had the same problem with the portrait peasant top. I contacted Carla and she said some people lengthen it. We need a size 1 in the body and about a 4 in the length. Next time I'm going to try lengthing the bodice portion.

Those are both super cute. I had the same problem. It doesn't give you much room to add a tie or anything. I am going to lengthen the bodice next time that I use the pattern.

LOVE this! I need to make one!

LOVE this too! I need this pattern, for sure!
HEY CINDEE - did you see this?

Shannon,

Yes, I saw it ;) -I have a similar one I bought years ago that I still have not made LOL

I did just find some REALLY cute Chinese scrapbook paper at Joanns. I finally got the referral picture from 4 YEARS ago in the book :rolleyes1
